You know that either the 8, 16 or 32 GB of capacity, there will be still a flash memory inside, and not a hard-drive. They only use hard-drives in the classic and the mini iPods.

@97lamborghini The apps will be slow. I don't recommend buying this because it's out of support and very slow. Try to get a third generation, they are getting cheaper by the day.

@nefavela Its normal to lose a few percent power overnight, but no more than 5-7%. This device is very old now, and unsupported. If you're loosing 25% I'm not surprised.

i can download books onto mine without jailbreaking using a program called stanza(free on app store) some of the books are a bit hard to control(like slide your finger and it will move a bout 0_o) but it works well.

@SashaMeez yes, but with iOS 2.0+. games is a software thing, so you must have 2.0 or higher. But not all apps support 1st gen, due to no bluetooth, no camera, no microphone etc and first gen is slow.

@TheShiraaj Not on a first generation. You'd need at least a second generation iPod Touch to run iOS4 which has iBooks. iBooks is a PDF and ebook reader.

Hey man if you still use the first generation on a daily basis you need to at least upgrade to a second generation. Reason being is that Apple has discontinued support for the first generation. 3.1.3 was the last update that they made compatible. It seems the new 4.0 and even 4.1 cannot run at all on the oldies.
