Like I said in the video, you make a file folder to where you're gonna be putting your hacks and put your ZSNES file then and it opens directly the file folder with the hacks in them.
Alternatively a thing you probably haven't tried yet is to right click the hacked smw rom and set it to run on zsnes go OPEN WITH and choose zsnes
You can't do it. Once its patched, its patched for good, patching it a 2nd time as I said in the video, destroys the file. Do I just delete it and download a new one when you're done? Yes, that's why in the video I stressed that you should make copies of the original SMW rom

I can't help you if you have a mac. All I do to open up the contents of zip files is simply right click the file select "OPEN WITH" and click "COMPRESSED (ZIPPED FOLDERS)"and it opens up everytime.

You go to CONFIG then INPUT on the ZSNES and set your own controls. If you've seen my earlier SMW hacks, I did show that I set myself the keys as Q,W,S,Z,X shift and enter. Does NOT have to be the exact ones, but you can see how close apart they are, which makes it easier. I hate using controls because you lose the ability to save state.

Geraldo, I merely showed what's available on smw central. I took less than 1/2 a second to chose a hack. If time was that precious You could have just read what was on the video description.
I'm not exactly if you saw the entire video, but there was green box at towards the last 20 seconds of the video giving you solutions to this problem.
1) You over patched the same hack rendering it useless. Only patch once
2) You have a bad smw.smc rom. In the video DO NOT get the rom from vimm site. It doesnt patch. If you read the video description, there's a direct link to download the SMW rom in its proper form
well, your main problem is you're not downloading the IPS files from super mario world central and not opening on Lunar IPS with it. Of course if you open an SMC file on Lunar IPS, it will not work.. If you watch the video closely, what I did is I downloaded the hack in its IPS format, opened that file with Lunar IPS, then I go to where my copies of my SMC files and click one of them and it patches successfully
It should work. I have no idea what you are doing wrong. I've done patching a couple hundred times already and it always worked for me...unless show me a video what you are trying to do. Most of times when my ips files have bad patching its always due to a bad smw.smc file.
If it doesn't work..clearly you are doing something wrong. Either one of 2 problems
1) You downloaded the rom from the vimm.net site which I wrote in bold to NOT go there, because these roms CANNOT be played once they are patched. If you look directly at the vid description there's a link that directly gives you the link to mediafire's site with the right file
2) If you patched hacks and you're not seeing any of them on ZSNES, that is because your emulator is not in the right directory. In other words, ZSNES is opening the wrong folder... Only you can remember where you put the hacks . I recommend making a folder on your desktop and put all your hacks there, and put the ZSNES file in that same folder which will open the folder with the hacks. Or simply just take the hack right click and run on your emulator
if i click the patched file ( i did everything 100 % like u did slowly) i can read at the bottom that it is the right hack but it just gets black and wont open the normal smw i can play whats wrong?
If you didn't patch it correctly then its your rom. DO NOT download the SMW rom from the vimm site as I showed in the video. They changed their format to .SFC and it is DOES NOT play when it is patched. If you check the link provided to you in the description, for the rom that is the .SMC format of which you can patch

Hi there, I think you'll recognize me when i had trouble with how to play rom hacks. But I finally figure it out how to do it. I had to download WINRAR and then try to do your step by step in this tutorial, and I downloaded Mario's Redrawn's Adventure from SMW Central. Once I finished, I find the file to patch, patched the game and it when it started up, it finally worked. Thank you Jon3800! Now I'm ready to play the hack.

I'm not sure if you watched the whole video or you have your annotations on the videos. It's worth doing because you have all the help you need. If you have a bad rom, my suggestion is get a different smw.smc rom and patch again. As I repeated to several users, ignore bad rom chksm fail
did you read the video description. there's a link directing you to the lunar IPS program. The IPS files ARE the hacks you download..all you need to do as open them thru that program before you patch.
I wrote this in several replies and as well in the annotation box that appears during the last 20 seconds of the video saying to ignore it. At least more than 50 rom hacks that I have patched have bad rom chksum fail, yet still work. Patching the IPS hack files does alter the rom components.
I would suggest going to vimm (dot)net to get the rom as shown here. May I ask what hack you are downloading? There are hacks available in different languages
@colonydude13 That's the result you get from patching through Lunar IPS. You don't get past that unless you already find rom hacks available in SMC format. As I said it before, and I'll repeat once more Ignore the message... I downloaded at more than 200-300 rom hacks and over half of them get the message yet it still plays and it doesn't affect gameplay. If it works for me, it should work for anyone.
You probably need a different rom rather than a different emulator. If you're still using the ZSNES emulator that I saw you do in that 10 sec hypercam clip, it would work,, you even have proof here works. Follow the video step by step...you really shouldn't be have any problems with this
Seriously, is swearing even necessary? What doesn't work? I suggest to lose your attitude and watch the video carefully to see how it's done, you've probably done something really stupid (no offense) like patching twice. Over 90% of the people that watched this video said it worked and I personally do this over 100 times and it works every single time. The 10% had very minor problems with over patching with Lunar IPS or have a bad working rom, of which those I've helped.

Don't download the emulators from vimm.net. Like I've shown you in the video, get them from emulator zone. If the rom doesn't work on vimm.net I would suggest to get it from a different site.
no. it's not. If it was I don't think I would be making the video, and SMWC wouldn't exist. These are fan-based super mario world that can be tweaked by anyone including yourself.
@Jon3800 I've tried on multiple copies of the rom that I got from the same site that you did, and like you did I put all of my copies in one folder leaving the original untouched in the rom folder used for zsnes and the rest in a folder of copies to hack and after I get bad rom I would delete it and try again
Honestly I really don't know what to do in your case. At least 80% of my hacked smw rom collection has "BAD ROM BAD CHKSUM" but yet it's still playable. You can check this out by looking at some of my VIP 4 videos.
I've done this about hundreds of time and only ran into bad/ noplay twice. I solved this but getting the rom for a different site and following this procedure and it was okay. You have to keep in mind some patched hacks don't even work at all. which one are u getting
@Jon3800 I've used the demo world that you get from the site where u get lunar ips, mega mario bros which from the reviews says it works and starlight remix which seemed to have worked from the reviews I saw as well
besides I am LOT more helpful the other users who made the same video that never reply to messages. Besides, why would even you want Demo World. I just downloaded it, it worked with the bad rom and still played. All it did was change first 3 levels. It's not me whose being bitchy. It's you not listening and trying to do things yourself.

1) make sure you have an clean Smw SMC rom. SNES only NOT advance, the gameboy advance version
2) Follow EXACTLY the video
3) Patch once not twice
4) Ignore the BAD ROM message.

@Jon3800 I did follow EXACTLY how the vid showed and watched it several times before I posted my first comment just to make sure, I have been ignoring the bad rom messages as I continuously try to get it to work, I haven't been ungratefull just the way you posted the comment before this it made it seem like you were being a dick by the way you wrote it, and yes, btw all the downloads did work, the rom was an smc, I never patched the rom twice and double check just in case and I even downloaded
You have to read my message more carefully, not trying to be a dick or anything. That was far from being my character. Look I honestly don't know what to say man. I just downloaded 3 or 4 different smw hacks, just now and they were fine. My only suggestion is to get a rom elsewhere that is not from vimm.net, or try using a different emulator.

the hack file should be an IPS format and the SMW rom file should be SMC. It should have the smc format when you download it. Are you sure you opening something else. do not use the srm
your problem was patching it twice, when I told you in the video to patch it only once. All roms get corrupt with patching more than once. Bad roms/Bad checksums like I said are nothing serious. Check most of my let's plays videos of mario hacks appearing with the same message (BAD ROM BAD CHKSM) and they played.

Oh, you have to walk and hold the Y button (on an SNES controller) for him to run. So go to CONFIG, and INPUT, you can set the keys to the buttons. For me, I set the "A" key to be the Y button. Let me know if it helps

You probably changed your format. Did you do this on properties? Just label it as "WHATEVER YOUR HACK NAME IS" dot smc. Should fix it

2) try a different rom
3) try a different hack and see if that solves the problem.

You probably need a different rom rather than a different emulator. If you're still using the ZSNES emulator that I saw you do in that 10 sec hypercam clip, it would work,, you even have proof here works. Follow the video step by step...you really shouldn't be have any problems with this

Seriously, is swearing even necessary? What doesn't work? I suggest to lose your attitude and watch the video carefully to see how it's done, you've probably done something really stupid (no offense) like patching twice. Over 90% of the people that watched this video said it worked and I personally do this over 100 times and it works every single time. The 10% had very minor problems with over patching with Lunar IPS or have a bad working rom, of which those I've helped.

when i download the hack it has the IPS file but its not a heart shape. When i click on it it says choose a file to open the IPS file with:(

If you check the 5 min towards the end of the video there's a green annotation box with a potential solution
1) you wither patched the hack twice by accident - makes the screen goes black. Only patch once
2) Your smw rom that you downloaded was not good. Some roms will allow patching some won't. Try downloading a rom from a different site and try again.

Play Super Nintendo games in psp.
Step 1: Get an emulator. I recommend you Snes9xTYL. Download it here:
megaupload . com/?d=EEB20UIB (remove spaces!)
Step 2: After it is Downloaded, extract it to "ms0:\psp\game\"
Step 3: Now your done. Just add some ROMS.
Step 4: Play it! Make sure you have custom firmware.

Don't download the emulators from vimm.net. Like I've shown you in the video, get them from emulator zone. If the rom doesn't work on vimm.net I would suggest to get it from a different site.

umm so mine wont let me change the open with type on the ips to lunar ips, it just comes up with adobe reader and wont change. Can u help?

you should be using the .exe file from Lunar IPS. Adobe only opens pdf files.

A Bad rom is nothing serious if it does play. Since it doesn't work, you either
1) downloaded a bad rom that doesn't work when it is patched. Sometimes games wont work after they patch. You can try googling for another smw rom
2) you patched the hack twice, which makes the rom not even load at all
I get bad roms and they still play.

@Jon3800 I've tried on multiple copies of the rom that I got from the same site that you did, and like you did I put all of my copies in one folder leaving the original untouched in the rom folder used for zsnes and the rest in a folder of copies to hack and after I get bad rom I would delete it and try again

Honestly I really don't know what to do in your case. At least 80% of my hacked smw rom collection has "BAD ROM BAD CHKSUM" but yet it's still playable. You can check this out by looking at some of my VIP 4 videos.
I've done this about hundreds of time and only ran into bad/ noplay twice. I solved this but getting the rom for a different site and following this procedure and it was okay. You have to keep in mind some patched hacks don't even work at all. which one are u getting

besides I am LOT more helpful the other users who made the same video that never reply to messages. Besides, why would even you want Demo World. I just downloaded it, it worked with the bad rom and still played. All it did was change first 3 levels. It's not me whose being bitchy. It's you not listening and trying to do things yourself.
That was perfectly a legit question. You just told me you download wanted to make sure everything work. I guess serves me right for helping ya

Look
1) make sure you have an clean Smw SMC rom. SNES only NOT advance, the gameboy advance version
2) Follow EXACTLY the video
3) Patch once not twice
4) Ignore the BAD ROM message.
You said "I got all of them except the demo world from smw central". Then I asked do all these download works?

@Jon3800 I did follow EXACTLY how the vid showed and watched it several times before I posted my first comment just to make sure, I have been ignoring the bad rom messages as I continuously try to get it to work, I haven't been ungratefull just the way you posted the comment before this it made it seem like you were being a dick by the way you wrote it, and yes, btw all the downloads did work, the rom was an smc, I never patched the rom twice and double check just in case and I even downloaded

I just downloaded 3 or 4 different smw hacks, just now and they were fine. My only suggestion is to get a rom elsewhere that is not from vimm.net, or try using a different emulator.

the hack file should be an IPS format and the SMW rom file should be SMC. It should have the smc format when you download it. Are you sure you opening something else. do not use the srm

bad rom is nothing serious if it DOES play. If it doesn't, like in annotation box you either
1) downloaded a rom that doesn't work when it is patched
2) you patched the hack twice.
I get bad roms and they still play.

your problem was patching it twice, when I told you in the video to patch it only once. All roms get corrupt with patching more than once. Bad roms/Bad checksums like I said are nothing serious. Check most of my let's plays videos of mario hacks appearing with the same message (BAD ROM BAD CHKSM) and they played.

Oh, you have to walk and hold the Y button (on an SNES controller) for him to run. So go to CONFIG, and INPUT, you can set the keys to the buttons. For me, I set the "A" key to be the Y button. Let me know if it helps
