I was right at the front, the poor guy was having a bad night, shaking like a leaf. It's as though he never asked to be the greatest guitarist in the universe but god cursed him!
I'm standing on Allans right...I gave him a bottle of Stella during the first set when he asked for a beer. The band were immense that night...but Allan was out of this world! I'm a bassist too...I was impressed with Ernest's playing.
Loved this gig. Was great to see a good crowd there to.
Was wondering if anyone got to ask him or knows when his new album is coming out thats ment to be out on steve vai's label? also anyone have dificultty logging on to the allan holdsworth forum?
I ran into Holdswoth at an Arby's in Dayton Oh right before a show. At the same place a few years later there was a knock on the "exit " door next to my table. We opened the door and it was the headliner, Steve Morse. He said, "Can I come in here?" I said, "I think so."
Outstanding gig. The ferry nearly sank with the amount of jaws continually hitting the floor!
I was standing right in front of Chad Wackerman in the second set, hearings not so good today. I managed to film some excellent footage of the main man on my phone. If I can manage to figure how to upload the vids I will. Got some cracking footage of an Ernest Tibbs' solo during Letters of Marque too. I play a 6 string Yamaha bass too, I've got a bit of catching up to do.
You should upload it. All i can say is Allan influenced me in every way in my life, so much so i have a GM4T Steinberger because of him (e.g an 1987 model).
