I smoked a tiny amount of a similar product called "KRONIC." I am a very experienced user of most legal and illegal drugs. But this synthetic crap was the worst experience I have had with any drug. An amount as big as 2 match heads gave me hallucinations, racing heartbeat, and total panic. I do not get these seriously unpleasant effects from smoking even large amounts of very potent cannabis. This crap is extremly dangerous and very unpleasant unlike the natural stuff. This is seriously dangerous
Why the hell would you want to smoke synthetic chemicals made in drug labs in China when you can smoke a natural form of Cannabis. This synthetic shit is NOT herbal its a synthetic chemical. Real cannabis contains many different chenicals that cause the different effects you get from natural cannabis and can cause you to be, dreamy, sleepy. giggle, eat or other things. This synthetic shit is just a harsh verseion of THC. I hated the stuff. Although I enjoy real cannabis, this shit was horrible.
I used spice a few times It was quite a trip It wasn't cheap pretty safe and fun but came with side effects just not really worth it Ill stick with pot.
plzzz dont do spice i did this nd i culdnt walk my tongue went numb nd i literally called my mom tln her to come home bc i thought i was going to die i heard lik voices in my head nd it felt lik a dream tht ur body wont let u wake up from plz ban spice
i did gold alot it was the same as weed in nearly every way as far as buzz goes only the smell and taste was diffrent..i think they should keep banning stuff so more new stuff comes out for me to try..
spice contains jwh-018 or a similar chemical or a combination of them. jw-018 is a full agonist of the cannabinoid receptors, whereas thc is only a partial agonist, which explains why it os so potent
I tried a newer version of spice called " ihigh black" . I chose spicr because drug dealers are typically shady also spice does not show up on drug tests. the first time i tried spice i took 6 inhales(which of spice is a lot), I started feeling dizzy, then started having mild hallucinations, also time felt extremely slow.I had a "bad trip" and was under the impression i was going to die. I've tried since then at smaller doses and enjoy it.
This stuff will kill you...My friend called me crying he couldnt walk...He crawld with his wife to the bathroom showered under cold water and he almost died. BAN THIS NOW! stop it
@firsttokeproductions ... He almost died of a stroke according to him. I never heard him this scared in my life matter of fact never heard anyone this scared on the phone. People have died of this already! Its not THC getting you high but sum man made substance. People cant walk after doin this drug you guys think its normal? I smoke med. weed on a weekly basis ill never trust this junk!
@mihayil99 dude i really doubt that he was having a stroke that shit is just really strong he just had a bad trip and the thing about a bad trip is once its over its over and the only reason people died was from the sniff and nobody died just sniffin it all the deaths are frm people drink a litre of vodka while doing it or injectiong it but i get you natrual is the way to go but that doesent mean other people should be denied these legal highs there alot safer and less addictive
i almost thought i was going to have a heart attach. i did this with my friend at his house on new years eve (one day before it was illegal) to have a good time but it sure didn't make it a good time. people think its a good idea because it's legal (i did as well) but in fact it's a dangerous drug that can cause seizing, brain damage, schizophrenia, and now very strict disciplinary action from the law. Its not a good idea at all to do, trust me. THC > JWH-018
i remember telling my friend "this suck, i'm never ever doing this again" over and over again. a part of the time i wanted to just freak out and call 911 because i had no idea what was going on.
i was shaking quite a bit and things felt deferent. my friend offered me something to eat (mini rice cakes) and when i was eating them, i was afraid that i was eating my tongue, so i stopped eating. then after my friend said something i saw something behind him that i have never seen before. it looked like this/_/8} it was alike a diagonal blue book with circles moving down where the eight is on the picture i made. my mouth was open for the whole experience.
part 2 my friend asked me how far away i was to him and i just stared at him with my mouth open. my objective was to feel normal, so what i did was sat on my friends bed and stared at the wall and kept on thinking that i was feeling normal, then the next second i was thinking i wasn't and it kept going on like that for a long time. the only way i knew i could feel somewhat normal was to fall asleep, so i tried and my friend got me out of bed after a period of time.
part 1 i took spice and it was god awful. it was the first time i have ever done any drugs besides drinking alcohol. my heart rate was very very high, i was on edge the whole time, and i had no sense of time or for that matter, presence. i was so confused and i just wanted the feeling to stop.
I dont think legal highs need to be banned. Its scare mongering, and the evidence of lethal legal high incidents is very flaky if you read into the cases. It made me realise that real E's probably arent as dangerous as they are made out. Obviously I dont think you should make a regular habit of taking them, you should be careful and take sensible doses in safe environments. I only tried them on those 3 occasions. No real harm, but the powers that be obv need to keep things in order, thats all.
I had some spice, i am not a smoker of any kind but thought I would try it as it was easy to order online. It was actually not too bad, gave me a nice sleepy warm feeling. But I dont like smoking. Also tried a BZP pill "Rush" which was superb, drank plenty of water and I was just really euphoric and sat in my room for hours thinking about how wrong the world is, hard to explain but really positive. Also tried "diablo" which made me abit paranoid at a party, but that might just be me.
I used to smoke spice and other similar herbal blends, i smoked it because i get tested at work for cannabis, it was a very good alternative however you find yourself building up a resistance to it very quickly. Some of the stronger blends were seriously strong and i was shocked they were legal, havn't touched the stuff in a year or so but i had fun with them :)
I don't see any problem with keeping it legal. I personally prefer to keep clean, but I have no issues with people who choose to take part in things of that nature. Drugs (that wont kill you) and alcohol (without poisoning yourself) is perfectly fine.
I have smoked spice. Cloud10 is the most potent; and made me experience almost an out of body experience. I've smoked many different spices...It is very crazy. I don't recommend taking it to people who are un-easy about this type of stuff you can freak yourself out. Listen to my music! Cya
you gotta laugh lol, the government banned weed that is natural and now theres artificial stuff like spice that are legal and actually mess you up badly
well done governments for creating a monster lmao
they could have decriminilised weed and made a healthy profit. Now they gotta police banning herbal highs everytime theres a chemical change - which will be constantly to get over the ban
imo, if you are over 21 it should be your own personal right to smoke whatever you want
I smoked spice because I got arrested for marijuana.. I love the high.. My friend told me it was a lot like smoking weed so I smoked it. I think it is good for any country its not any worse to weed for me, but I know there are no real studies on long term effects so It's kind of scary. Although I think its good and good for the economy of any country because they could control it and the potency.. Although, I think cannibus should be legal as well.
i had bought some herbel mix..it was called ( magic) and i also got the same feeling.as if i got weed...the reason for me it was legal and always there for when i choice...and wasnt made a criminal for buying weed..witch is all natural ...thanks to your video ill never buy from those shops again...and start growing my own ...so i know what im taking..there the criminals for letting poisons be sold ...to me thats ilegal when it can harm another
the goverment r fuckin stupid... nobody gives a shit about things being legal or illegal... theymake it ilegal and ppl go bk to skunk... no mater wt they do nothing gna stop ppl doing drugs
i know 2 people that do it regularly and i have observed real addiction in both. and i feel the addictive side of it when i personally smoke it and come down. It is certainly more addictive than marijuana.
@madcow455 Yeah, I would recommend smoking the real stuff as opposed to this unknown and untested chemical. Ya know of course if jail time doesn't mean anything to you. We live in fucked society.
I think the methedrone (or meow meow or MKAT) or cat food situation in the uk is absolutely DISGUSTING! its just nuts, how can they justify legalizing something that they dont know anything about?! its incredibly addictive and deadly! i have known people to be doing it every single day, because they can get it off the internet, and have it placed under their feet! i cant express how much it grinds my gears.
I find "spice products" to be a lovely way around the law. If they were made illegal here in NZ, I would probably just revert to weed (shut up, i know I'm an addict). Also we have these pills that we call "Greenies" which we pull open and snort the contents. That shit got me higher than any other drug I've ever tried. Which wasn't necessarily good. All this legal shit is probably dangerous. But, keyword: LEGAL. Not for y'all in other countries though...
I am from Kansas City, Missouri USA and there is a store in Kansas that sells this product called "K2". I have been a "traditional" smoker for years and this K2 stuff is 100% freaking amazing. It truly works like I was hoping for. "K2 Summit" is by far the best. You should order some online...search it under K2 Incense
Our govt is so short sighted. by banning this, they have missed an opportunity. they are obsessed with stopping people getting high yet create the conditions that allow for an epidemic of alcohol abuse. insane.
I live in Colorado and one of the local headshops "Kind Creations" (my favorite shop) sells generic spice stuff outside in the vending machine for $20 a gram. The high I think is as good as weed if not better (highly debatable though). I smoke it because I'm on probation but before I was smoking spice I smoked about a quad of medical a day. The first time I smoked this stuff it was like smoking chronic with a really low tolerance.
There was alot of sense made in the closing statement. It is not know what these herbs ae cut with, therefore if someone takes in too much of what ever it is, the health risks are unknown and treatment by doctors will be hard because they have no clue what is going on.
Well i was a cannabis smoker for years, but it was too strong and made me paranoid. I liked spice, as it is more mellow....controlled, no paranoia etc. Stupid fuckin government, ill go back to weed now!!!! duh
I took herbal Es at a festival. Wasn't good. Tasted like ass. I don't even see why weed is illegal anywhoo. If it was legal, you wouldn't have all this skunk stuff on the streets as the government would be able to regulate what they grow. And they'd make a shit load of money from it.
@joshurking No you dont get it basicaly if Hemp is used it remplace so much thing there so many industrial that are going to go down that...no lol they pay gouvernement to keep it this way.
Its all about there income.
If Hemp is used medicaly, you realize how many pharmacy company are going to go down?
If its used to make fuel, if its used to do plastic.
@QCBEC Oh noooo, the poor pharmaceutical companies that are so good to the world and make all of their medicines affordable for the disease ridden third world countries. What will we do if they're forced to make their medicines cheaper? Shut the fuck up. These are the companies that exploit the people of the world's need for medicine because they can and they make a fucking killing doing it. Lives are more important than America's income, twat.
I am saying if marijuana would be legal, the pharmacy will lose money, the gaz industrial will lose money.
And they dont want it to happen so they pay gouvernment around the world to keep it illegal they all have benefit from it.
They do, not me, i support legalization of marijuana and every drug because no human has the right to obligate another human that has been placed egual to him on earth what to do or not and throw him in jail for that.
@joshurking You see you went so quick on judging me, insulting me, You know a good way to have a discussion with someone is to not insult him making yourself sound like a child? what you say is right according to me and the general definition of good and wrong, i see you as a good person but i gotta say you are stupid.
@joshurking You see you went so quick on judging me, insulting me, You know a good way to have a discussion with someone is to not insult him making yourself sound like a child? what you say is right according to me and the general definition of good and wrong, i see you as a good person but i gotta say you are stupid.
I know people who've tried Salvia just because it was another drug, and people who've tried Salvia because it was legal. I don't know anyone who uses it regularly the way people use weed.
I'm not sure making stuff like Salvia or Spice illegal will change things, much.
@katelouise88 why order shit online n have to wait weeks or even months. when if i wanna get high i walk aroudn the corner n get on with in 10 minutes
I trried salvia before which is the same thing, and to be honest it wasnt that impressive..ok the hulicanation was funn while it lasted but for a 3min hulicanation its just not worth the money! The only reason i took it was because it was legal, but i honestly feel that its just as bad, as your 'trip' can go either way and therefor there is chance that your experance wount be plesent at all..
I think people would use drugs less if we made them legal, and tax the shit out of em. Stimulates economy, less experimentation (people usually only do it because they shouldnt), therefore less people having harmful effects like overdose. If one were to, as you say, create a new drug, You should be able to get it pattented, and be able to sell it after research. There would be laws concernig use, like in cigarettes and alcohol, with age and etc.
From what I've seen of the popularity of weed, pretty sure that making Spice illegal isn't going to do a thing except REALLY freak parents out when they find some in their kids' sock drawers. Instead of just mildly freaking them out.
I don't think that you can say that taking illegal drugs is safer just because we know about it, just that we know the level of safety for sure.
Actually, I'd never heard of spice or anything like that. So I suppose if you want to take it, you'll take it if it's legal or not (hence why other drugs have so many addicts)
I haven't heard of Spice, or 'Wild Lettuce' as one fellow Australian viewer mentioned. The illegalization of drugs is one of the reasons people are so painfully aware of the dangers of them. Having something that can potentially cause psychosis, schitzophrenia, etc delegalized will reduce the risk and increase the awareness, because sadly drugs are falling into wrong hands, young people that don't know how to do them, moderately and safely. Having said that, I do advocate them.
I've never heard of spice, but salvia is kind of big here in America. Salvia is a legal hallucinogen that you smoke, and it only lasts a few minutes. I don't smoke anything, but a lot of my friends regularly smoke weed, trip shrooms and roll, among other things, and they've just done salvia to see what it was like. Most of them had bad trips, but a few like it because it's a short trip (opposed to shrooms) so even if it's bad it won't last long, and it's legal.
i don't think that even one of your viewers have ever taken drugs. i don't want to generalize your audience but most of them will probably be nerds because you're mostly talking about politics. not that nerds never take drugs i'm not close minded but that's just the way i'm thinking
Um, I think you'll find that political people do the MOST drugs. If you don't want to generalise or sound small-minded, then don't say close-minded things. Simple.
I've never heard of this before. But to be honest I think, if it will be made illegal, it will still get bought by people who take it, they'll jut find another place to get it.
I decided to buy Spice because it's easy to get and you can smoke it in public and not get in trouble. With Spice illegal more people will just go back to weed or some new legal high
Here in the U.S., with the power of the alcohol lobby, there are no regulations mandating ingredient labels on alcoholic beverages, such as you would find here with food products or pharmaceuticals. So in that sense the consumer really does not have full knowledge of what is in these products. And nobody knows what is truly in the drug products that are sold "on the street." Cocaine and heroin can be cut with many harmful things, but you won't be told what they are by the sellers.
My point being, that sellers of these types of products don't give a rat's ass about your health; they are interested in your money, period. The same can be said about the pharmaceutical companies, but at least in the U.S. there is a long approval process that tests product effectiveness and safety. So buyer beware.
I was thinking what that guy from oxford said as soon as the video started. I reckon if they legalised weed there'd be less place for unpredictable alternatives
I did not know spice existed before this video... but if its potentially 'worse' than the drug its a LEGAL substitute for then it should surely be illegal... but even if it was people would still try to get it
I guess having a legal substitute is good in a way as it can be monitored... this is confusing...
on a less confused note, i like your shirt :) and blogtv on sunday sounds like a good plan
I have never taken drugs legal or illegal, but the only positive I can see to make any drug legal is that it can be regulated and monitored, and to be honest I can see that banning any substance will make a difference to how people use it.
To be honest, i have never had the inclination to try any drugs, legal or illegal. And even though i have never done any drugs, i really don't believe that making the drug illegal is going to make a difference. In fact, it may be more harmful, considering its importation would then, no longer be regulated.
The answer to your "why" question ties in with a comment I was going to make regarding Guernsey.
I have smoked spice before; my housemate at uni, from Jersey, used to bring it from home. I get the impression it was widely known about and used there. If this was true of Jersey then presumably so of Guernsey.
And I believe he (therefore I) had Spice and not weed because it was legal. Don't think safety or anything else cropped up. Come to think of it I never considered what it might have been.
i think now the government has let it known that this exists and that it is legal until around xmas time, more people are going to go out and get it!!!
I don't agree with the legal alternatives being MORE dangerous. Drugs are constantly changing (in terms of what they are cut with ect) and so just because doctors have decades of experience isn't necessarily helpful. I think its probably a bad idea to ban the legal stuff, but maybe a warning label would be good? That way people know that what they are taking is not, necessarily, safe.
one thing about illegal drugs is that you really don't know what you are getting. who made it/ where did it come from/ what's really in it?
but when a drug is legal the government can use it to there benefit by taxing them.
also they can regulate what goes in it, and come up with a perhaps "safer" drug. when you really think about it alcohol and tobaco both are deadly, but if people are willing to buy it...someone will be ready to sell it.
In the US you can be arrested for drug paraphanalia. Tommy Chong went to prison for that. They would NEVER allow something that's meant to be a substitute for pot.
This video quite reminded me of the salvia epidemic here.
Basically the trip is crazier than pot and it's currently legal in Pennsylvania, so people are taking advantage of it. So much so, though, that it seems that it won't be legal for long.
I watched a documentary on this a few weeks ago on BBC. I think both legal and illegal highs have their dangers, but the thing that's kept me from buying Spice is the unknown effect of the chemicals. Now that there is early research about psychological effects, I'm glad I didn't smoke it. I'm more wary of it.
spice is not a good high, as i wouldnt say its cheaper either. i tryed it along with salvia, which i would say is almost the same product. coldnt tell the difference tbh.
i find to find cannabis better as its a plant, so its very rarely lazed. although it is illegal, i find soooo many people around me do it (even OAPs) that its more sociable and easier to get hold of.
Don't be a dope-head, use non-tobacco with your goodies. That way you'll get a far more honest smile from those things that you treasure. I have sent a longer mail to you, cool Essex-Boy.
I've always admired your confidence. If I made a video and stuttered ONCE, I would scrap the whole thing entirely.
I don't know if it will make any difference. A desperate enough person would probably find the next best thing soon after. I think it would be interesting to study to see if it has any effect then using the data to study a more effective method of handling drug laws.
Thought you said "choose to smoke spice over wee." I did a double-take and gladly realized I was wrong.
I'd never even heard of Spice before now. I suppose if it does get taken off the market, it will either a) like you said, be replaced by another product, or b) become just another street drug.
jazza i swear you're one of my favorite people. ever.
i don't think making any once legal drug illegal will change the usage at all, if anything it makes it more appealing to people, it's basically saying, "this is so badass that it's illegal, you better not do it." which is why i think they should just legalize certain drugs, because i believe it will take away some of the "glamour" and the "rebel"ness of doing the drug itself.
I think banking spice will be counter productive and actually increase the number of people using the substance. This is simply because this news story has raised awareness and people will be tempted to try it out. It's human nature, when it's there your not tempted because it is readily availible but by banning it, there is a cheap thrill coming out of it.
I tried spice once just out of curiosity, it didn't taste all that good and I didn't notice any effect on top of what I'd already had.
The thing with the "reliability" of legal drugs is that they are often cut with god-knows-fucking-what. MDMH is more or less entirely safe but Ecstasy tends to be MDMH cut with whatever else was lying around - anything from coke to ketamin. At least with legal highs - you get the same thing every time and you don't risk picking up a dodgy product.
In my opinion...(I would be one of the 'goody two shoes' ) :]...Making Spice illegal isn't going to make too much of a difference. Marijuana is illegal, and obviously people have no problem getting it, as well as harder drugs. :} But I've also never heard of Spice, soooo my opinion may be void.
I have to disagree with you when you say that we know more about what will happen to you when you take drugs illegally, because it is the practice of some drug dealers to lace drugs like weed with trace amounts of crystal meth in an attempt to get their buyers hooked on the harder stuff and thereby ensure a higher and more frequent income flow. So even if you're taking a drug like cannabis the only way for you to know exactly what's in it is to grow it yourself.
long time ago when i was a kid trying to get away with being 18 had managed to get hold of spice whilst buying poppers from a adult bookshop, i personally wouldn't recommend it unless you like headaches , but as for it being banned i think its unfair , alcohol causes depression ,memory loss ,mobility disorders and can turn a man into a psychopathic wife beater, sniffing lighter gas causes brain damage and sudden death and people overdose on water everyday these arnt banned
the experts needs to respect an adults choice in participating with theses drugs they have there own mind and should be intelligent enough to know the risks , and should advice placing more measures to prevent kids gaining access to them until there of an age they can decide for them selves , else the experts are advising the goverments that the british are too mentally retarded to think for them selves and need a nappy and to me that spells fascist
if i were to smoke to get hi i would probs smoke cannabis coz i hadnt heard of legal highs until now and tehy sound a lot worse
the legallity of it doesnt reli make that much difference as smoking spliffs is getting more acceptable and the price of spice seems a lot so although i dont no how much cannabis costs it cant b much more
JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR I DONT SMOKE AND DONT PLAN TO BUT IF I DID THIS IS MY OPINION
sorry is that seemed ott i just felt the need to say it
I would not feel safer taking illegal drugs since there is no regulation whatsoever regarding what is actually in them. Illegal drugs could be laced with literally anything that the producer wanted to include. Alternatively, you could have an instance of someone accidentally overdosing on an illegal drug like heroine that was too "pure".
i haven't personally taken these things but my friends once took 'herbal ecstacy' and all that happened is they felt really sick and then really sleepy for like 2 days... doesn't appeal to me really :|
I really can't say i've got a decisive opinion on the topic.
There's so many opinions and such a fine line between legal and illegal and how they are classified.
In the end, I really don't trust anything that impairs judgement or physical ability that can be used recreationally.
It's already basically impossible to control anything around you as a young adult. To strip away basically your last line of defense, your mind AND body, for a pleasure trip, even temporarily, really racks my nerves.
Lol you got nervous and ran away XDD thats okay Jazza. Spice will probably be illegal in England soon as soon as people start making money off of it on the streets.
And even though I never smoked spice people probably did it because it was just easy to get their hands on.
This is just a no-win situation because if you do illegal drugs, you'll get in trouble (likely). But if you take spice, you really don't know what your taking and the effects it can have on you long term.
horrrrayyy nhs shindig! i want to hear your opinions on what that wankstain said on american tv. lol.
anyway, spice.
in my opinion, it wont make any difference if its banned or not.
people take drugs.
i'm sure some people have taken spice because its "legal" but if they have the mentality to take something that does get you high, i doubt they would reject anything that is illegal.
for whatever reason, they want to have a good time, or feel something different, legality doesn't come into it.
what's even more interesting to me is how here in the states, weed is illegal but alcohol isn't. i've known quite a few people in my life where alcohol has dramatically effected their life in a negative way, sometimes causing them to lose their lives, yet it's still allowed. it just surprises me that alcohol is so much more socially acceptable when it causes so much shit and weed isn't. hmmm.

i almost thought i was going to have a heart attach. i did this with my friend at his house on new years eve (one day before it was illegal) to have a good time but it sure didn't make it a good time. people think its a good idea because it's legal (i did as well) but in fact it's a dangerous drug that can cause seizing, brain damage, schizophrenia, and now very strict disciplinary action from the law. Its not a good idea at all to do, trust me. THC > JWH-018
roxasraid2 1 year ago
i remember telling my friend "this suck, i'm never ever doing this again" over and over again. a part of the time i wanted to just freak out and call 911 because i had no idea what was going on.
roxasraid2 1 year ago
i was shaking quite a bit and things felt deferent. my friend offered me something to eat (mini rice cakes) and when i was eating them, i was afraid that i was eating my tongue, so i stopped eating. then after my friend said something i saw something behind him that i have never seen before. it looked like this/_/8} it was alike a diagonal blue book with circles moving down where the eight is on the picture i made. my mouth was open for the whole experience.
roxasraid2 1 year ago
part 2 my friend asked me how far away i was to him and i just stared at him with my mouth open. my objective was to feel normal, so what i did was sat on my friends bed and stared at the wall and kept on thinking that i was feeling normal, then the next second i was thinking i wasn't and it kept going on like that for a long time. the only way i knew i could feel somewhat normal was to fall asleep, so i tried and my friend got me out of bed after a period of time.
roxasraid2 1 year ago
part 1 i took spice and it was god awful. it was the first time i have ever done any drugs besides drinking alcohol. my heart rate was very very high, i was on edge the whole time, and i had no sense of time or for that matter, presence. i was so confused and i just wanted the feeling to stop.
roxasraid2 1 year ago

Drugs (that wont kill you) and alcohol (without poisoning yourself) is perfectly fine.

you gotta laugh lol, the government banned weed that is natural and now theres artificial stuff like spice that are legal and actually mess you up badly
well done governments for creating a monster lmao
they could have decriminilised weed and made a healthy profit.

I don't think that you can say that taking illegal drugs is safer just because we know about it, just that we know the level of safety for sure.
Actually, I'd never heard of spice or anything like that. So I suppose if you want to take it, you'll take it if it's legal or not (hence why other drugs have so many addicts)
jochannel 2 years ago
I haven't heard of Spice, or 'Wild Lettuce' as one fellow Australian viewer mentioned. The illegalization of drugs is one of the reasons people are so painfully aware of the dangers of them. Having something that can potentially cause psychosis, schitzophrenia, etc delegalized will reduce the risk and increase the awareness, because sadly drugs are falling into wrong hands, young people that don't know how to do them, moderately and safely. Having said that, I do advocate them.
torisays 2 years ago
I've never heard of spice, but salvia is kind of big here in America. Salvia is a legal hallucinogen that you smoke, and it only lasts a few minutes. I don't smoke anything, but a lot of my friends regularly smoke weed, trip shrooms and roll, among other things, and they've just done salvia to see what it was like. Most of them had bad trips, but a few like it because it's a short trip (opposed to shrooms) so even if it's bad it won't last long, and it's legal.

deathbyclownage 2 years ago
Here in the U.S., with the power of the alcohol lobby, there are no regulations mandating ingredient labels on alcoholic beverages, such as you would find here with food products or pharmaceuticals. So in that sense the consumer really does not have full knowledge of what is in these products. And nobody knows what is truly in the drug products that are sold "on the street." Cocaine and heroin can be cut with many harmful things, but you won't be told what they are by the sellers.
MustafaPresents 2 years ago
My point being, that sellers of these types of products don't give a rat's ass about your health; they are interested in your money, period. The same can be said about the pharmaceutical companies, but at least in the U.S. there is a long approval process that tests product effectiveness and safety. So buyer beware.
MustafaPresents 2 years ago
I was thinking what that guy from oxford said as soon as the video started. I reckon if they legalised weed there'd be less place for unpredictable alternatives

I did not know spice existed before this video... but if its potentially 'worse' than the drug its a LEGAL substitute for then it should surely be illegal... but even if it was people would still try to get it

I have never taken drugs legal or illegal, but the only positive I can see to make any drug legal is that it can be regulated and monitored, and to be honest I can see that banning any substance will make a difference to how people use it.
VortexMaverick 2 years ago
To be honest, i have never had the inclination to try any drugs, legal or illegal. And even though i have never done any drugs, i really don't believe that making the drug illegal is going to make a difference. In fact, it may be more harmful, considering its importation would then, no longer be regulated.
candyandapples 2 years ago
Spice is not necessarily more harmful to the body than illegal drugs.
The danger lies with the medical authorities inexperience with treating people who have overdosed on it.
I used to smoke about a packet of it at the weekends and found it to be a good alternative to just drinking.
And we all know how harmful drinking is...

Come to think of it I never considered what it might have been.
tahninial 2 years ago
i think now the government has let it known that this exists and that it is legal until around xmas time, more people are going to go out and get it!!!
rathermisplaced 2 years ago
I had never heard of this... Interesting.
RogueBlueJay 2 years ago
I've never heard of that before..
I live in Canada, maybe it's not legal here.
1inaudiblemelodies2 2 years ago
one thing about illegal drugs is that you really don't know what you are getting. who made it/ where did it come from/ what's really in it?
but when a drug is legal the government can use it to there benefit by taxing them.
also they can regulate what goes in it, and come up with a perhaps "safer" drug. when you really think about it alcohol and tobaco both are deadly, but if people are willing to buy it...someone will be ready to sell it.

I've always admired your confidence. If I made a video and stuttered ONCE, I would scrap the whole thing entirely.
I don't know if it will make any difference. A desperate enough person would probably find the next best thing soon after. I think it would be interesting to study to see if it has any effect then using the data to study a more effective method of handling drug laws.

jazza i swear you're one of my favorite people. ever.
i don't think making any once legal drug illegal will change the usage at all, if anything it makes it more appealing to people, it's basically saying, "this is so badass that it's illegal, you better not do it." which is why i think they should just legalize certain drugs, because i believe it will take away some of the "glamour" and the "rebel"ness of doing the drug itself.

I think banking spice will be counter productive and actually increase the number of people using the substance. This is simply because this news story has raised awareness and people will be tempted to try it out. It's human nature, when it's there your not tempted because it is readily availible but by banning it, there is a cheap thrill coming out of it.
Einy7 2 years ago

I tried spice once just out of curiosity, it didn't taste all that good and I didn't notice any effect on top of what I'd already had.
The thing with the "reliability" of legal drugs is that they are often cut with god-knows-fucking-what. MDMH is more or less entirely safe but Ecstasy tends to be MDMH cut with whatever else was lying around - anything from coke to ketamin. At least with legal highs - you get the same thing every time and you don't risk picking up a dodgy product.
thetreeorthebear 2 years ago
In principle I'm not in favour of having more drugs made illegal at all - banning things outright causes all sorts of problems.
thetreeorthebear 2 years ago
In my opinion...(I would be one of the 'goody two shoes' ) :]...Making Spice illegal isn't going to make too much of a difference. Marijuana is illegal, and obviously people have no problem getting it, as well as harder drugs. :} But I've also never heard of Spice, soooo my opinion may be void.
OhAdunDunDun 2 years ago

Para-phrasing on behalf of Sinead: I wanted to get weed but couldn't find any so smoked some spice but it was crap then found some weed after :)

i haven't personally taken these things but my friends once took 'herbal ecstacy' and all that happened is they felt really sick and then really sleepy for like 2 days... doesn't appeal to me really :|

You are very cute, and I love your blogs.
Spice sounds like bad news - I don't blame you for running away!

I don't think that banning it will do much good.
Other products will be made to replace spice,
and people will still be doing illegal drugs.
This is just a no-win situation because if you do illegal drugs, you'll get in trouble (likely). But if you take spice, you really don't know what your taking and the effects it can have on you long term.

horrrrayyy nhs shindig! i want to hear your opinions on what that wankstain said on american tv. lol.
anyway, spice.
in my opinion, it wont make any difference if its banned or not.
people take drugs.
i'm sure some people have taken spice because its "legal" but if they have the mentality to take something that does get you high, i doubt they would reject anything that is illegal.
for whatever reason, they want to have a good time, or feel something different, legality doesn't come into it.

what's even more interesting to me is how here in the states, weed is illegal but alcohol isn't. i've known quite a few people in my life where alcohol has dramatically effected their life in a negative way, sometimes causing them to lose their lives, yet it's still allowed. it just surprises me that alcohol is so much more socially acceptable when it causes so much shit and weed isn't. hmmm.

How can you overdose on a smoking drug?
iusefizzylogic 2 years ago
You can't over dose on a smoking drugs like pot. Meth, and cocaine you can overdoes by smoking.

S'what I thought.
