Okay, for beginners, this program sucks, like if you want to put a line on the blue axis, half the time it doesn't! And also, sometimes some parts don't fill in and you can't color it, and you have to re-draw the 4 lines connecting to each other, and sometimes THAT doesn't even work, you have to re-draw it like 7 times... literally! And it can be extremely frustrating, so if you are a beginner and want to use this program, do it at your own risk, again extremely frustrating.

I am extremely, extremely disappointed again in SketchUp Performance on the Quad based intel Mac with ATI 1900X . It is as slow or slower than the previous version even with disabling open GL preferences. I would love to hear from people who are not sitting and waiting for 3 to 4 minutes of Beach Ball spin when just previewing a simple drawing.

Great step up since 7.0 was very frustrating at time during the drawing process. What I find interesting is the Modeling in context tool, since you can build a library of buildings so context information can come easier and faster. Although the Solids tool is already in programs like Rhino, Revit and 3ds Max so thats nothing to be proud of. Also with tools like Revit firms can easily produce the drawings with out the hassle. Sketch up is still a long way for being a leader in the industry.

Cool new feature in Google Sketchup is lack of DWG/DXF import option in free version. GOOD JOB Sketchup team ! It'a a big improvement that makes life easier for all mankind. Seriously - make some serious improvements that bring some fresh air into this cool little program. You add "SOLIDS" - don't make me laugh guys- so when we can expect "chamfer/fillet" option- in next year or two? - Look at competition - BONZAI3D for example.
