  • wish people would understand the difference between flywheel hp and @ the wheel hp ... its realy annoying when ppl post up claiming stock flywheel hp on there car (which i doubt it has) and compare it to this vid which is at the wheels hp ..shakes head

  • @bladester100 Well at the wheel .... It asnt the wheel on . So its not even whp. Coz you know that the wheel weight and diameter can change a whole lot thing in a dyno run and putting power to the ground... Anyway i totally agree with your comments that most people think the numbers a company claim for their stock cars are actually whp but its at the flywheel yah!

  • @MrCodyLuv - The suspension is original mini geometry with uprated and adjustable camber/caster arms. Coil springs are used in the front instead of the original rubber cones and the brakes are MG metro vented discs with metro 4pot callipers.

  • somthing is wrong there mate because b18c4 has standard 170 bhp and b18c6 type r has 180 bhp so how con you only have 163 bhp and you say its tuned, so you have tuned it down then?

  • as well your car may have big power figures but theres alot more to consider ive drivin a standard type R integra with b18c and easily beaten wrx stis evos and pretty much all else that isnt heavily modified so a mini with this motor will tear you apart no questions asked granted he can get the power to the ground in traction.

  • Don't know if you know this, but AWD CRV tranny's match all B18 series engines. I believe minitec offers this kit as an option... droooooooool

  • Standard B18 all the way. You could do moon and back miles without it missing a beat. Im running a stock B16 in a sh*tbox of a metro and Ive done 6 trackdays from start to finish including driving it there without any trouble(cursed it now!) Turbo=Early finish when everything goes pop.

  • As the builder of this car, the reasons for leaving a stock engine were both driveability and aesthetic based. This car still uses the mini front suspension to ensure the 'mini feel' is still retained. Hence, the mini CV joints have their limitations regarding how much torque they can handle. Secondly, more power=more torque steer=less drivable and finally, a standard clubman nose cone is used - there isn't room for a turbo without modifying the front and/or moving the radiator to the boot

  • @gokuman63 Agree, his engine is NA, besides look at the power to weight ratio - standard mini weight is around 650kg and the b18c4 puts out about 180bhp (at the flywheel) so were looking at close to 300bhp/tonne (if you take the flywheel hp) and that's on a standard engine - if he decides to go turbo his mini will shit all over your single cam - and probably use a shit less fuel while doing it
