  • I mean I guess it will work either way but if you notice the speakers that come already assembled... they go with the speaker facing into the Baffle. :-)

  • You do realize that the speaker goes into the Baffle the other way don't you?

  • @trainssker no it goes the way I put it on this video

  • Nice video and how to series. I like to use chaulk to seal the enclosure as its easy to open up if you ever had to and easy to see that its sealed.

  • I hear voices.... 1:45 :P

  • Very nice how to video! It sounds great!

  • @aocruiser thank you

  • @NSBNSFsuperfan WOW! OMG! YOUR BEING SOOOO NICE ON THIS VIDEO!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU BEING SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL WHEN COMMENTING ON YOUTUBE VIDEOS?

  • @AMH9217

what if nsmodeler24 is being set up by bnsfsuperfan? It would be possible unless you have further information

  • Quick question, did you mount the speaker on the rear of the locomotive and with that small speaker can you get the shell all the way back on with it in the back verses the front?

  • @tdluvs yes I got the shell back on no problem

  • Thanks Josh - very neat work.

  • @hoggersouthawk you're welcome anytime

  • Thanks for the post. I always thought that speakers push air, why does it need to be air-tight?

  • @mokanlines Bc you want the speaker to push/vibrate the air in front of the speaker, not the air behind it which would create unwanted vibration and reverberation.

  • Thanks for posting this, I have always wondered how to install the speaker on a sound loco.

  • Good work as always, I do the same type of decoder install, but I use the SoundTraxx 810113 16X35mm speaker as it has a bigger magnet. Does produce a deeper bass.

BTW: get some new drill bits before you really hurt yourself, that bit should have drilled through with ease.

  • Lol yes I usually have some that work fine. It was late at night, i didn't have any correct ones at the time, and I didn't feel like waiting so I used one that was dull and not exactly the right size... bad idea... haha thanks for watching!

  • @NSmodeler24 lol yeah he's got a good point, ive already done that to myself :P

  • I sure am glad you're making this videos Josh. I have no clue as to wire up decoders but these sure do help thanks a bunch man.

  • @Grumpy7783 I will get more videos here on my channel
