Getting from A2B in NYC with WSJ's David Patton

At £2000 it is way too expensive. I would rather buy a scooter like a vespa that is the same price, faster, lasts longer, goes a lot further, safer, easier to lock up..... This is only better in the green category!...

@chubbyhubby020 Your right! The battery takes time to recharge and need to be replaced after 700 recharges for around 700$. I mean this bike is meant to help us save money and give us an alternative to the bike, but it will end up costing more while having less power. Insurance for a bike is only 100$ a year, but the battery for a2b is 700$ I mean it’s not even close. I hope competition will brake ultra-motor. I love them for making cool bike I hate them for charging unfair price

Well, the problem is, moter assisted bicycles and motor assisted kick scooters are illegal in the state of NY. So if you are riding one of those, a police officer can just come up to you and have you arrested.

@saychpower federal law mandates that all electyic bicycles under 750 watts are classified as a bicycle. legal in all 50 states.

I am interested in heawring real users comment on owning this bike. Reliability, things they didn't know when they bought it but are discovering as they use it day to day. Any problems?

This bike has lots of potential in the electric bicycle market. It does also have some issues, which can be resolved. One big one is getting it to fit on the public bus bicycle racks. Bike racks on public buses have done huge support to cyclists who have a break down on their commute. And the same will be true for the A2B. Additionally, it will offer peace of mind in case battery runs out of charge or electronics fail. Again this is an easily resolvable issue. best of luck to Ultra Motors.

Been riding it for about 4 weeks now and so far it is a great bike. Issues that you will find is that it is hard to find accessories for the bike. Looks like UltraMotor designed the bike so that you have to buy accessories from them. The accessories I'm referring to are bags that will fit the handle bar or bike rack, bike rack carriers, lights that will fit, etc. I had to make available products fit on my bike until I can get a bike carrier from Ultra. Besides that, everything else works

A number of manufacturers are producing electric bicycles. They are expensive (with lithium Ion Batteries) and I wander how reliable they are. I hope they become more perfected, because I'd like one.
