  • payande IRAN! javid SHAH!

  • Nowrooz is pre Bahai !

But we are all Iranian and you have the right to it as all Iranains.

    great music

  • Of coarse it's pre Bahai!! Iran is way older than the bahai faith...And since the bahai faith originated from Iran it's only natural we celebrate Naw-Ruz..and u know Naw-Ruz isnt a really religious thing since muslims celebrate it as well..faryarm explains everything better though =D

Check out the Bahai writings .. Baha'u'llah has written about the importance of Naw-Ruz and the New Year (^_^)

  • Norooz dates back to Jamshid Shah, about 6000 years ago. Before Zoroaster.

Zoroaster confirmed Norooz. Baha'u'llah also confirmed it as the Baha'i New Year.

Norooz, Yalda, Tiregan are all based on the movement of the Earth around the Sun and are significant to all people. Persian Civilization was advanced enough to figure this out with pin-point accuracy at least 6000 years ago.

  • done well

  • I watch this footage once a week! This is an amazing family.

  • nourooz is nothing to do with Bahai,it is Zoroastrian new year ,and if Bahai decide to celebrate is fine too but it it was about 3 to 4 thousand years older than Bahai faith, how ever you are welcome to adjust your faith with our culture,,

  • Thank you!

  • With the advent of the Bahai Era, and the Bahai teachings for Unity and the eventual establishment of a global homeland, on this planet. Baha'u'llah established a new calendar of 19 months, each with 19 days with 4 intercalary days; where every Bahai worldwide from every nationality and religious background from, Swedish, to Kenyan, to Persian to Brazilian and American celebrates Naw Ruz as Bahai New Year according to the new Calendar. Imagine one day the whole world celebrating Naw Ruz.

  • I wish I had a grandpa like that

  • Great, Great , Thank you .

  • Thank you so much for sharing this! I will be listening to it many times. I wish I could understand the lyrics; is it a happy song?...it seems to be, but perhaps that is because you are performing it as a family. How wonderful that is!

  • This is a happy song about NawRuz or Norooz, which is the Baha'i and the Iranian New Year. Naw Ruz is also the Festival that ends the Baha'i Fast.

  • Thank you for your rapid reply. I am only vaguely familiar with the Baha'i faith, but what I am familiar enough with it to know I appreciate it's values to the extent I'm aware of them. I will do more reading about your holiday. Thank you once again.

  • flutistinbc and nemats: Nowrooz is a pre-islamic new year celebration originated from the Zorostrian believe in the Persian Empire, and is celebrated by few other countries such as Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Tajikstan, whom all have been part of the Iranian (persian) country. This has nothing to do with Islam and certinely have no relation to Bahais' faith which is a young religion dating from 1800.

  • what a wonderful violin player

  • well done and this is fantastic music. I really enjoy it! Hurray to Iranian people!

  • wow... it's the first time I am actually "enjoying" listening to Iranian traditional music. this work is quite high class, and I never say this to any Iranian traditional music performer.
