I HAVE ONE OF THE OLDEST OR THE FIRST RADAR DETECTOR THAT TALKS AND ON MINE J ALSO HAVE THE TUTORIAL TOO. BUT MINE HAVE NUMBERS INSTEAD OF BARS ( 1-9) AND IT'S A VECTOR 985 BELTRONICS STILL HAVE IT AND STILL WORKING EVEN THOUGH HAD TO SEND IT IN TO REPLACE THE SPEAKERS ( TWICE) .

OK, I've had the 965 for over two years now and I have never come across the audio alerts for moose crossing and child/deaf areas. How do those work?

I have bel 965, but it didn't work in tutorial mode, nothing in his manual about it. What can i do ? Is anybody who know all hidden combination of buttons for this function or another ?

Some dept. in the USA are starting to use the Ku band, like New York State Police, they are starting to use Ku, my POS cobra pics it up.

With in the last year, not all of the cars have it yet, I can say I have at least past one NYSP car and Ku went off.

hey there just adding a bit of advice im not sure what kind of setup you have but putting your radar detector on the topmost part of your winshield is something you should stay away from since the police that are clocking you usually aim for lower parts of your car headlights etc. but none the less this is a good video

they aim the lower parts of the car using laser other bands don't matter

He put the detector very well because it gets a better signal

Yup higher is better for the radar lower is better for laser. But there is almost no point to detect laser well since you are done if they hit ya anyway.
