  • Nice Job Dude! ~~~ love doin that :)

  • Comment removed

  • This is really a commercial advertisement for "safety contact lenses". No more of those pesky goggles, face shields or glasses!

  • I could use some Oak firewood!!

  • Darn nice job!

  • Bad ass man. Nice job.I would like to fell a tree that big some day

  • I don't see much P.P.E

  • sounds like a man saying "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

  • No Timber 0_o

  • i'm laughing at all the youtube pro lumberjacks in the comments

  • @bmays002 Fuck off.

  • Comment removed

  • @dubhlochan yep

  • @dubhlochan and your poor at selecting video's to watch and share your unprofessinal opinion. Location is fine, like one branch moved on far tree..how he did it is fine, it was hollow and bar was shorter than trunk. To me that was a nice even cut. Go back to your desk job and polish your stapler again!

  • Comment removed

  • was the tree notched first before a back cut or are hollow trees cut in a different way?

  • at 2:46 you cut it into big discs, what's the best way to break these down? Is there special chain for cutting logs in this direction as opposed to just making logs?

  • beware of hollow trees - I can see why you made the cut high

  • OMG the table tops that could have been cut out of that beast.

  • picture perfect---nice job.

  • bet you needed a brand new chain after that tree

  • @ausomeangieeee not likely. Did you see some serious rock or metal impacts?

  • Someone some tree hugger watching this video is crying lol

Nice size tree, large tress like that sound just like thunder when they fall.

  • "AHM ZUMIN EIN huhuhuhuhuhuhuh!" lmao

  • Damn! Makes my Farm Boss look small.

  • @hoosierhiver a farm boss is small

  • safety glasses!

  • depending on who you learn from trees are cut differently i know forest service teaches the undercut frist and then the sloping cut while timber cutters normally go the other rout (now each person has their own way. You do not need large wedge to move a tree over (that tree had little or no lean) just enough to move the center of gravity. there Clearly was a notch cut out when the tree falls you can see it....on a side note I refer to the undercut and sloping cut combined as a notch

  • Ok first of all, it it not a notch....it is reffered to as an Undercut , the sloping cut and finally the back cut which releases the tree ..the idea of using large hard head wedges is to place them far enough apart as to prevent the tree from rocking on one wedge and tearing the holding wood premautuely while allowing the space to re insert the bar and cut out any heart wood to release the tree.. Cant believe what hack tree fallers pass as professional work. Maybe its time for my video.

  • just because he has a big saw doesn't mean he knows what he is doing.

  • why tree didint hit the house? fail is normal in america

  • SOOO many POSERS on YouTube this guy is a PRO probably has enough years exp. to b more than your age. You guys are kinda like telling a NW logger how to cut a tree. If you don't believe me check out his page on arboristssite

    AWSOME JOB

Also Snelling give me a pm on how much it costs to port a 066 Ill send u a pm on arboristssite which ever message you read first.

    mitch95100

  • @Mitch95100 Then why in the world is he not wearing any eye protection. I pity the fool.

  • TENHO UMA MAQUINA DESSA E MUITO POTENTE SER PRA TODO TIPO DE SERVIÇO....

  • hey big bore....you need to look up more to see what the top of the tree is telling you, and your wedges are waaaaay too small, you need a minimum 10 12 inch 5 single and 5 double taper hard head wedges and at least a 5 lb falling axe to drive the tree over.

Just trying to save a life thats all so dont be offended.

  • @alwaysreadyrob Guess he clearly didnt need bigger wedges! fool.

  • @alwaysreadyrob Shut up, bozo.

  • Given the rot in the tree, it looked to me like he knew what he was doing.

  • Noticed a lot chainsaw safety freaks here on youtube preaching away, obviously, like any power tool, they are dangerous and require proper use. Have been in Fire Rescue for nearly 10 years, only 1 call on a Chainsaw accident, minor injuries. Much MUCH more calls involving other power tools. Lots of Chainsaw users around here, chill out.

  • Crazy. He doesn't look up, no notch, badly decayed tree could have collapsed on him. In adequate PPE. He's lucky he wasn't at the scene of the accident.

  • amateur ,some city employee risking his life ,looks like the 1 st time he used that saw ,ur lucky shit didnt happen dude

  • @zaphirine123 Agreed. Scary, no notch at all. Just cut and use wedges? wtf is this how NOT to fall a tree.

  • @04suzuka i've never seen anything like this, no notch???

  • @topfintuna Look at the video at 1:10. You can clearly see that he cut a notch and the piece is on the ground.

  • i use to do that everyday...trust me put glasses on...and one other thing..when tree falling...i had one drive a branch in the ground so hard it brock there water line for sprinklers..sucked..

  • Hahaha I'm zooming in...

  • FAKE!!!!

  • Just notch it, and fall it!

  • nice job but please, practice safety! I know too many young adults that look to Youtube before they go junk up firewood or cut down trees with their fathers. Please remember to wear safety glasses- you only have one set of eyes. Look up, not just once, but a couple times. Can tell you're experienced, awesome job, but please remember that you're setting an example too :)

  • Two things. One, he NEVER looks up! Danger comes from above, never turn your back on a tree. Second, look at his shirt and the the other trees....notice the wind. No big deal I suppose if there were no targets to hit near by.

  • He didn't look up once.

  • Epic job, nice work. Beastly sounding and working saw, love stihl gear and love the sound :D

  • FAIL

  • i love it. short sleeves. no helmet in the end of the video. and DOESN"T even look up while on the back cut..

  • I cut a tree down like this and it was a pain in the butt! it was hollow all the way to the top and exploded on impact! Took forever to cut it up since it was hollow and landed weird. he makes it look to easy! nice job

  • Great video --thanks! You did a fine job cutting down this huge tree. Unbelievable how truly rotten the interior of the tree was. Glad that you took it down!

  • He made that tree his bitch.

  • firewood?

  • Son of a Bitch tree. I hope it hurt. I hope it hurt real bad!!!

  • Termites cut that tree down...

  • not bad dude !!

  • geiles hämmerle da :D

und beinlängen sin sowas von unsicher erstrecht bei ner 066 die richtig dampf hat...

    lol^^

  • City trees become hollow because large branches are lopped off and rot enters the tree through these wounds. This also can occur if roots are cut along one side for sidewalk repair or weak crotches that open and close in the wind. You can prevent rot from branch cutting by letting the cut dry until the wood shows cracks and then rubbing in wax or even spraypaint. Some people will tell you this doesn't work. It does IF you have a perfect seal applied over a dry, unrotted area.

  • Damn fine job. Hollow trees are dangerous creatures and he made it look simple. i venture to guess he's done that before. and that saw sounds awesome btw

  • im sorry i meant for that to be directed to that SYBRIX dude. ma bad :)

  • Nice saw! Good work by you guys.

  • RETARD!

  • @romnsch13 why do you say that what did he do wrong? look to me he did a nice job

  • First off I know nothing about lumberjacking, but I'm wondering how did he know that the tree was about to fall?? Did he feel it with the glove that was still in contact with the trunk? And how did he know which angle the tree would fall?

  • @sybrix you can hear it and feel it and see it and realy you just no it is going to fall.and he new wich way it was going to fall by the face cut or the nouch when you cut down a try you need to put a nuch it every tree you cut down

  • @jonesbrent85 first of all it's called a notch. second of all he used a notch. third and lastly this guys does some of the best porting work i have ever seen done to a chainsaw. watch your tone mister. and learn to spell correctly.

  • @joshuarugg i no my stuff bud.there is a reason i cut down tree foe a living evey day.and why do care about my spelling and dont call me mister goof.and if you have proplems pm me goof

  • @jonesbrent85 dos'nt it crack you up that people have nothing else to bitch about but spelling?we wre what we are!

  • nice hamer work @2:10

  • Nice fall, hollow trees suck

  • Humans are really strong enough for that.

  • That saw goes baby !!!!

  • :-)

  • Did I see it take a branch or two from a tree next to it?

  • nice got to love rotted red oaks

  • nice got to love them red oaks wen Thar hollow

  • Very impressive piece of machinery. I just hope that there was a very good reason to fell such a kingly tree.

Take a look at my Favorite videos for some controversial opinions.

  • I chop those with my rune hatchet, only takes seconds.

  • Ennek meg nem hajlik a dereka

  • Ennek meg nem hajlik a dereka

  • nice job on difficult dangerous tree !!!

  • I'M A PLANTER

  • @1prodan1

hey you plant tulips? If so i might have some work for you

  • well done...could use some of this wood for my tiled stove...

  • y las gafas of de glasses

  • Ahh bet that smells lovely!

  • The fun lasts for about 7 seconds then your left with a full day of cleanup, being oak it will be a backbreaker. Nice video.

  • I like the old 066 and the old 044 stihl the best! I am geating 044 soon tho

  • WIDOW MAKER @ 2:10-2:24

  • good fall but next time use an ax to pound your wedge

  • @clodwolf He did a good job. I do this as a living, and for the most part use a 15" wedge to pound my other wedges with. Works really well. Keep a falling axe with the jugs just in case.....

  • @stumpybeaver666 15" wedge? just double up on some 10 inch wedges . hard head wedges are the way to go son

  • @clodwolf Double up? The 15" double taper wedge is to beat with, 12 " K&H wedges to drive. Perfect combination. Hardheads are ok, but expensive and don't last as long. Trust me on that, son. Experience tells volumes.

  • I betting he's prior Forest Service

  • nice profesional job!

  • shit,,, id put that big bastard in the back of my f150, take him home draggin the bumper and splitem up! mite have have a little stickin out the back though. ill put a red flag on the top branch.

  • Nice drop, I have never had the chance to cut a hollow myself, it does not look fun

  • time hummer

  • Nice cut...Plastic wedges are easier on chains if you got kicked back on, and that twist was on purpose....that guy was pretty good i hate cutting hollows.

  • nice job

  • TRY AND WEAR SOME SAFETY GLASSES FRIEND...IF THAT CHAIN BREAKS OR A TOOTH FLYS OFF...MAYBE...WELL YOU KNOW WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY SO...YEAH TAKE CARE...GOOD JOB

  • TIMBERRRRRRRRRRR

  • Always shut down your saw as the tree begins to fall, you need to listen to make sure it hits the ground.

  • sick video man you cant beat a stihl best out there

  • ya saw is dishing one side is differant angle on ya chain

  • nicely done. first big tree I cut was a 10 foot tall oak stump about three feet wide down to the ground with a similar sized saw I retented. I though it would be some easy cash. the blade wasnt very sharp so I thought I would sharpen it when I got there. 2 hrs later I got to the tree made my first cut and the blade was done so I go to my truck to get my sharpener it was gone WTF. I didnt make any money off that tree

  • plastic wedges are gay, you should use aloy, nice saw though i got a magnum 046, also you should show putting your scaff is aswell just so you show the whole process. nice work

  • @ford460v8 I was a timber faller on the coast of British Columbia for 20 years and didn't see anyone use alloy wedges... ever! I guess we're all gay..

  • What good is a hard hat going to do if a tree falls on you? Can some one say SPLAT

  • @gamerguy1991 the hard hat is to protect you from falling branches and chunks of bark..

  • ALE URWAŁ SZKODA ŻE NIE W HAŁUPE

  • that's one big damn tree.

  • TIMBER!! awesome vid

  • nice cut man

  • what exactly does it mean when a saw is ported?

  • @dylangagne i think it means the intake and/or exhaust ports are enlarged but im not 100 % sure

  • @dylangagne Ported is referring to the engine. If it is a 2-cycle engine then channels the air flows through inside the cylinder are enlarged to allow less restrictive flow. If it is a 4-cycle engine then the intake and exhaust runners at the valves are enlarged to allow less restrictive air flow.

While anyone can try to "port" a head or cylinder, it's possible to restrict flow, shift power bands out of desirable range, and lower engine power if you remove material in the wrong places.

  • Amazing :D

  • Rien a dire sur le taf BRAVO mais la massette pour les coins j avous que c est quand meme énorme (quoi que pas si con que ça surtout pour le dos ;) chapeau l artiste)

  • widow maker at 2:20!!!!!! 0_0

  • Good job

  • Comment removed

  • With a few sticks of dynamite, you could also take out the stump!

  • Stihl chainsaws are starting to suck in the last few years...I have 20 year old saws that hold up better than the new ones...Especially the gas caps..and now after the cap wears down the little ridge on the gas tank you got to replace the tank...Stihl you suck

  • @treejames64 i have also noticed the weakening caps. its funny they make a tool to take them off but the tool will easily strip out the middle of the cap. once i broke i busted a cap in two screwing it on by hand i couldn't believe it. they should make them out of aluminum or something

  • ce dracu ai cu pomu ala ?? ati innebunit dracu

  • try some eye protection you only got one set of em

  • Sicherheitsausrüstung und Keilhilfe ausem Aldi ?

  • @DoN2688 Aldi würde nicht son Scheiss verkaufen :)

  • 2:38 to finish....like butter....nice

  • That was a big ass tree.

  • No the Orange wedges can convince the tree to go a way it wouldent normally go.. An inch or two at the bottom of the tree when you pound the wedge, will equal quite a bit of movement at the top of the tree. Nice work man,, and nice saw too.

  • what a little homo-hammer

  • I dont know how the last comment posted, but I'll just bet it was a Q ....

  • And fukU C link attahe

  • fuck me your goin through that like butter you got a great saw there

  • man that thing was basically one big wido maker a

  • should have had goggles on :P

  • rip

  • sweet job!

  • Bet you feel pretty badass cutting down a tree huh? Nothing says I'm a man like cutting down a tree with a chainsaw!!! Major props! Your going places.

  • @78SilverBronco

the tree was a safety hazard because of the rotten base, faggot

  • @aallppiinnee Great well thought out response. "Faggot". I like the assertion. Who posts a video of someone cutting down a tree on youtube. "Stihl 066 Ported Big Bore". That is just so badass huh? Makes your nuts tingle. I tell you what bro, huge ass chain saw are how you pick up chicks. I actually carry one around with me daily. I'll ream on a tree to show her my masculinity. Its pretty intense.

  • @78SilverBronco

My response was about as subtle as your urge to have gaysex with a tree.

  • @aallppiinnee You caught me. That gaping rotten hole just gets me off.

  • @78SilverBronco

    LOL =) nice one. cheers

  • sharp ass chainsaw

  • love your saw

  • damn that thing was rotten all the way, you can tell my the color of the saw dust coming off the chain

  • damn thats one monster chain saw

  • very good

  • great work !!! keep it up

  • husquarna the best!!!

  • Good job

  • really... he's a carfull men :(

  • I think some of you are over dramatizing this a little. I'd calculate the odds of this tree " barber chairing " at about 1/5000.

Since when did arborists become soap opera stars?

The guy did a professional job.

  • y would you not scaff this. with a scaff you have more direction in the fall and can control the fell with the hinge wood. you could also use the saw lines as your main direction of fall and you wouldnt need wedges. wedges are use only as i last option or on palm (or similar) where the tree fibres clamp and expand on your saw

  • haha wie der den fällkeil einschlägt haha und schärfen wer auch mal was^^

  • When you're felling a tree, take the time and look UP! Learn how to use your gunner sights on your saw and get yourself a falling axe to pound your wedges. Learn how to make a proper face cut in your tree and leave some holding wood in your back cut. This will prevent your tree from twisting when it comes down. At least you've got chaps and a hard hat, more than most others on here.

  • the guy nos what he is doing,,, if u look the tree is hollow, which meens a ormal face cut wont do anything, also the tree was ment to twist to avoide damage to the surrounding trees

  • It wqas a normal face cut, he swiped another tree, thats why it twisted..........

  • @ed110110 it starting twisting halfway down because it caught its limbs on a nearby tree

  • @ed110110 Bullshit, it got hung up

  • im just kinda curious why you woulnt have put a pull line in it or doubled your felling wedges or maybe even have moved your notch so you didnt destroy the other tree.

  • How do you know the other tree was destroyed??

Arm chair loggers, they know everything. . .

  • EPIC

  • You do realize that your computer is made from plastic fabricated by a factory fueled by the petrochemical industry burning fossil fuels or worse, people gotta build houses, people gotta burn wood and build with it, on top of that the tree was rotten and a hazard...hellooooooo

  • Good stuff, keep up the work!

  • anyone know where to I can go get my 460 ported??? i live in Sacramento CA.

  • superman3891 , I know a guy in Loomis, I'll send you a private message with his phone number.

  • Good job that man needed to get out! How the hell did he fit in that gap under the tree in the first place???

  • @mrlennie

I had to read that about 3 times to get that. lol. Good job on the fell mate

  • not bad. could've used a 20 inch bar, since it was hollow. why waste the money time and effort in porting a saw that spins at 13,000 r.p.m.s anyhow? plus, moving the notch over would've avoided contact with the existing tree. otherwise, pretty good stuff. very manly!
