Actually, when they made this, the viewers hadn't voted Duncan as the winner yet, so Beth was actually the winner in this episode. Remember all the money her parents used to bail her out? That was her prize money. It said her parents had to sell their car, but when they aired it here in Australia it said "Beth's parents had to use her prize money to bail them out."

@lseths That's because Duncan wasn't the originally written winner, it was Beth, Duncan was voted as the winner, so this was written as though Beth won, that's why near the beginning Beth had a wheelbarrow of cash before she lost it, it was just edited to say that she lost her parent's possessions.
