  • "shes hot!'

    "inDEED!!"

  • OMG tooo funny >.<

  • LOL

  • dude there is an entire breed of indians...who can be classified as brown wannabe whites, coloring their hair blond, ashamed of speaking hindi or pretending not to know it...or giving lame excuses about it...the list is long

  • @TheSkirmishes They are there in every country. But in india they are not as prominant as other asian countries. There are very few of them.

  • curry munchers!!!!

  • @LQQKINGatYA Retarded!!!!

  • SHES HOT!!!!!!

    INDEED!!!!!

  • YES INDEED......LOL!

  • @MrMaximumPayne

That depends where you go in india. People in north are fair skinned but as you go more south, skin color begins to darken. That is because of their race. people in kashmir , punjab are ( persian descendents). They look similar to pakistanis whose race on genetic bases is same. but people in south states are dravidians. That is why India is called multiculturalas it is diverse. Diversity in culture, skin color, Ethics, Food, dress and language.

    I hope it helps

  • WTF...really so fucken retarted

  • I've been to India. Everyones friggin' dark! How comes on TV everyones fair? I've been to Bangladesh though. Those guys are a bloody mixed up race. Most of them look Chinese lol, there's even some blondes and brunettes, WTF?!

  • @MrMaximumPayne Hahaha....Blonds in bangladesh, lol......really funny, ...Must have been tourists....

Well to clarify things, Indo-Aryans are relatively fair, Indo-Dravidians are relatively dark....But both fall in the Caucasian group....

  • @Varoonmg I know it sounds crazy but it's true and no they aren't tourists, some were my relatives. Im Half Salvadorian, half Bangladeshi by the way. But yeah I told some of my Bangladeshi friends they were like, "friend you're mad" but others were like its possible but really rare.

  • @MrMaximumPayne Well there have always been been some blonds or auburn hairs in central asia, afghanistan, a few in pakistan and northern India, but like most people, I always thought bangladeshis were darker than Indians, so blonds there seem so improbable....

Otherwise, one thing truly surprised me, I always thought that our aryan blond gene had forever been made dormant over the centuries, but recently a half indian who contested for Miss India World was actually blond...I was dumbstruck

  • @Varoonmg Yeah see what I mean? It's really rare. And lol A lot of Bangladeshis look more slant eyed. I didnt know they were darker though. I've been to India and Bangladesh, they all look the same to me, but I reckon if you go to separate villages etc, you will see different peopl. Kinda like southern and North eastern bangladesh, theres a lot of Bhuddists, that look east asian?! Its a funny world .

  • @MrMaximumPayne Well the general view is that in South Asia as you move West (ex pakistan), you have fairer skin, as you move East darker (ex bangladesh), as you move North fairer ( ex kashmir) and as you move South darker ( tamil naidu)....but all are Caucasians, genetically speaking

To tell the truth, you have different skin colour within the same family

My father looks Italian, and one of his brother is darker than South Asians

my sister looks Pakistani, my mum Indian and I Malaysian...o_O

  • @Varoonmg Yeah that sounds about plausible. I mean my dad's side is Bangladeshi. I've been to his village, and his relatives there look completely different to your average Bangladeshi. My grandmother is ginger, and his brothers and sisters have freckles. His sister is a brunette?! Oh and his little brother looks EXACTLY like the Spanish footballer, Fernando Torres, except dark hair. I asked my grandad, he said this specific village had Portuguese ancestors, so some had mixed ancestry.

  • @MrMaximumPayne Well THAT explains a lot LOL

If there's been some Portuguese admixture, then they will surely look fairer

Admixtures are always interesting to study...Most people are unware of many facts, for instance an Average Brazilian has 80% European Ancestry!!

Their Amerindian Indigeneous heritage is only at 14% while they are merely around 7% Black African, irrespective of their appearance, the Genes show otherwise, and Afro-Americans look fairer because they are 20% White on average

  • @Varoonmg But the thing is it's not just my family. I know a lot of Bangladeshi like this. Like I remember this new kid couple of years back to my school. Everyone thought he was Chinese, really fair skin, dark hair, the eyes, but then my Bangladeshi friend heard him speak Bengali but in a different "dialect" apparently. And also there was another ginger Bangladeshi! And we had this other kid that looked Somalian, weak curly hair and pretty dark, then we heard him speak Bengali lol. Its weird!!

  • @MrMaximumPayne Well, well...I guess we can conclude that in South Asia, one tends to find a large spectrum of skin colour within the same population...Though on average, the population is brown..

I guess that kinda sums the issue

P.S: It also depends by what one calls "fair"...for instance, what many indians might consider to be "fair" will be seen as "brown" by a westerner, so it can be relatively subjective

and I think your "fair chinese looking" bengali friend was probably mix-bred

  • @MrMaximumPayne Well there is a mix, like another reply said India is a multiethnic country. However, you rarely see darker skinned people in the media as Indians consider dark skin unattractive and associate it with low social status. Fairer is considered more beautiful. You will even see actresses these days who are half (sometimes even full!) European. It's surprising you didn't catch on to this while you were there.

  • @gladitsmonday You are completely wrong my bro. In India skin color had never been associated with a person's status. Most of the people just find fair skin attractive thats all. Its something like finding a shapely nose attractive. But I dont think people who dont have very shapely nose are considered to have low social status anywhere and the same holds good in India for skin color.

And You see many many many ppl with dark skin in media as well. Thats also not correct.

  • @MrDontHaveusername For centuries darkness has been associated with lower status as it is field workers and the like who are out in the sun all day,not just in India but in much of Eurasia. Combine that with India's history of colonialism, during which the British established themselves in Indian consciousness as the "superior" race, and you'll see why modern Indians are so self-conscious about their skin tone.Attraction to symmetry of the face seems to be a biological trait shared by us all.

  • @gladitsmonday Nope, its sad but that view is not correct. India never had color based descrimination. India earlier had caste system which sadly still continues to be followed in certain remote areas but the descrimination was never based on skin color. In ancient India, a black brahmin always had much higher social status than a white shudra. Spending my entire childhood and teen in India, I have seen lot of people getting descriminated in villages but never based on the skin color.

  • @gladitsmonday Moreover, bleaching creams are very popular among blacks in US which is very unpopular among Indians because Indians think it harms ur skin. People use these creams though they dont provide that immediate soln like bleaching creams, only because its not harmful. Do you think if you were descriminated on skin color that wud have been case. In US plenty of women even go to operating table to get their noses fixed. Wud you say in US nose is a descriminatory factor?

  • @MrDontHaveusername yes, bleaching creams are also popular among our black community, and plastic surgery is common in many countries. By pointing out a problem in Indian society, I am by no means trying to hide the faults of my own. I lived in North India for some time, and really love it there. Now let's end this civilly before we become one of those annoying comment chains that makes everyone on Youtube mad! : )

  • @gladitsmonday Lolz no I never had any intention of making it one of those mad chains. I just wanted to put my point of view that the this problem that west these days points out in Indian society is just not a problem. They r looking at it wearing western glasses. India has plenty and plenty of other issues and we are working towards overcoming those issues. But I think we can allow people to use these fairness creams if they want to. It prob helps them feel beautiful n hence more confident.

  • choti wali kon hai?
