When I was a 15 years old boy, I had a friend that got saved at a pentecostal church in Illinois. He said the scriptures said that he would be a new creature, and he was completly changed, that is he turned gay and the preacher and him had sex for years. His life was changed forever, and he is still having fun to this very day.So now I know many gay men are very special and blessed men by the power of the holy ghost!

Can u show me just one person after the church got started that just said a sinner's prayer and they were saved? Peter was given the keys to the kingdom, and he didn't say anything about a sinner's prayer. When they asked him, what shall we do, he said, Acts 2:38. contextually speaking, mormonism did not exist when Jesus gave the sermon on the mount. The verse is very clear in context, and goes along with surrounding verses. Especially how a good tree will bring forth good fruit, but a good tree will NOT bring forth bad fruit.

Can u show me just one person after the church got started that just said a sinner's prayer and they were saved? What about Matthew 7 and how many people will cry out Lord, Lord to Jesus, they will list all the things they had done for him, but he says that he never knew them and tells them to depart? They are obviously sincerely calling him Lord.
With the salvation message you just presented, as long as someone is sincere they will be saved, so please tell me how you would back up that salvation message with Matthew 7...

I think that passage is referring to Mormons. The ones who will not inherit the Kingdom. I'm not sure, but I heard that before somewhere.

contextually speaking, mormonism did not exist when Jesus gave the sermon on the mount. The verse is very clear in context, and goes along with surrounding verses. Especially how a good tree will bring forth good fruit, but a good tree will NOT bring forth bad fruit.
Could mormons fall into that verse? absolutely. But to say it is exclusively mormons is obviously false, and the person who told you that is obviously coming at that with a biased view and is reading stuff into it.

I would agree that it's not just Mormons. But as for Mormonism not being around at the time Christ lived, I still believe He obviously knew about future "cult" religions coming about.
Who do you think he was referring to?
I believe he was probably referring to those who go to church, get involved for public appearance, and don't really take faith in their relationship with Christ. Kinda like the Sadducees and pharisees

Yea I would definitely agree with that.
Also, as far as how I see it, it would include anyone who calls him Lord, but never surrenders their life to His will because he says to them "I never knew you. Depart from me". The people claimed him, but never actually allowed him to really take control of their life.

Once the rapture comes and all the saved ones are taken to the Great Heaven above it is too late for those that didn't accept God to ask for forgiveness and to get saved. Any unsaved will be left behind. thats why it so important to believe and have faith b/c He is coming back and for many it will be too late.

At least we focus our love and respect on people and at least we hold ourselves accountable to people, who we know exist, without fear of a "hell" for which there's no evidence.

hey i got a problem... maybe you can help me... i would like to get saved but the problem is that i dont believe in god... it is not my choice... my reason just doesn't allow it. so what can i do to get saved anyways? because sure i should be able to get saved, too, since i can not do anything about the fact that i don't believe.
