  • He is obviously strong, but a deadlift starts from the floor. I used to do them from the rack as well and it is considerably more difficult to do them properly. Also, it's much more difficult to keep perfect for when pulling heavy weight from the floor.

  • Wouldn't say "Perfect Form"...pulling too much with back instead of driving forward with hips but impressive lift none the less ... 405 isn't as easy as most people think ;)

  • Good lift great form.

  • Yeah lol, try getting it off the ground

  • LOL What the fuck is with people saying deadlifting `1000 pounds is easy? that is good form and a tough weight to lift.

  • perfectly mediocre, well done.

  • dls are supposed to start from the ground, not in lockout

  • this wasn't a "dead" lift at all haha

  • Errbody hatin

  • So many haters, I mean I don't see myself uploading deadlift vids but damn. Keep lifting if it makes you happy.

  • don't listen to the haters man , most of them are just behind-the-screen-heros so nothing but shit , nice /steady form and a pretty goo weight on.Not the best weight but i cant do it yet ( working out 4 months ) im on the 300 lbs ....... Keep it up.!

  • Idk why everyone's getting so worked up. I wouldn't call it perfect, but it's not bad at all. Certainly better than most of youtube.

  • looks ok to me .. although he should bend his knees a bit more.

  • POST A VID WHEN YOU DEADLIFT 805, YOU TITLESS KITCHEN ATTENDANT! CAPS!!!!

BTW! I DEADLIFT 585 ON THE REG, AND I DON'T POST BC IT'S NOT 805! GROW SOME TITS AND HAVE A BABY, LAUNDRESS!

  • lol I was going to make a hater comment, but looks like everyone else is doing that for me. Keep up the good work, commenters.

  • good form! mini calves!

  • lol the stupid shit people do and put on the internet...

  • he got 2 but with one minor change he could have easily got that for 8 reps if he had the mental capacity NOT TO LIFT WHILE WILL SMITH IS SINGING IN THE BACKGROUND

  • why do people keep these videos up after all the negative comments and downvotes?

  • LOL PURFICT FORUM

  • Thats a less than full ROM RDL... not a full deadlift.

  • Yea, there is no need for people to get all upset about your lifting on here, but I hate to tell you man, those aren't dead lifts. They are way closer to Romanian DL and look like a hybrid between the two. For a guy your size, if you had been doing real DL from the floor, perfect form, you'd definitely be DL up in the high 500 range. Check some vids on form, and keep improving man. Cheers.

  • These aren't deadlifts you retard... Deadlifts are just what the name implies.. DEAD(on the ground) LIFT(off the ground).

  • the comments in all these workout videos are so gay

judging from youtube it seems like 90% of people deadlift 405 easily including 13 year olds.... complete bullshit i go to the gym and see nobody coming close to that except a few

  • Comment removed

  • ignore the stupid comments, good job

I can't imagine walking a heavy deadlift back into the rack lol. I tried with less weight than that and I could barely take 2 steps

  • that's not a deadlift. thats some sort of romanian weighted back extension thing. wow.

  • Yaknow why its called a deadlift?

Cause the bar is dead on the ground when you start the pull.

What you just did was half a romanian deadlift, mixed with a very poor attempt at a deadlift, complete with hyperextension!

    Your spine must hate you.

  • did you just deadlift in the squat rack?!

    you fucking faggot.

    you curl there, too?

  • @TheKebbers

Aw man that made me laugh so hard, he's one of those guys

  • @TheKebbers no, he deadlifted outside the rack you retard

  • looked good to me

  • You know why they are called deadlifts? Because the weight is supposed to be DEAD on the ground when you start the lift. I dont even know what you are doing.

  • @orsvend

some ppl just dont get it

  • @orsvend errybody derpin' in the squat rack

  • i dont know why people hating... i bet they cant even deadlift 300... anyway good job man keep it up!

  • I was jammin to "gettin jiggy with it" in the background. I didnt even watch the lift

  • Your form is far from perfect. Firstly, the exercise is called a deadlift because you are lifting a weight from a dead stop. A deadlift doesn't begin on the fucking rack--it begins on the floor. Again, because you are supposed to lift the weight from a dead stop, you need to reset at the bottom. Also: your lower back wasn't in extension.

  • lol starting at the top

  • no. change the title to "405x2 momentum lift, PERFECT FORM"

  • Why are you starting with th bar on the pins? Getting the bar off the group on the first rep is the toughest part.

  • lower back rounds, whats so perfect about that?

  • Misleading title. Lame.

  • na na na na na get jiggy wit will smith for the win?

  • Why the fuck are you walking out the bar for a deadlift. That shit starts on the ground. Oh yeah, UR A FAGGGGGGG

  • definitely not perfect form, but I've seen worse. Keep working at it and you'll get there!

  • not only is slablron right but ur also showing how weak your grip strength is by using straps. i deadlift 475x2 and 495 for 1 rep at 19 without straps. i feel i could get near 600lb if i used straps cause the only thing keepin me from getting more reps is the bar slipping off my fingers.

  • You should start with the weight dead, to begin with.

  • the funny thing about every video with "perfect form" in the title is that

    1. the weight is ALWAYS unimpressive, as shown here.

    2. the form is NEVER "perfect," as shown here.

    3. the poster is always a non-lifting phaggot who started six months ago and thinks he's one of a select few who can do what he's doing in the video, and the world stands to gain from watching his incredible feat.

  • @qualm43 so 405x2 is impressive then? Oh wait no it isn't. I pulled 455 last week, but didn't feel it was impressive enough to share with the world. Because 455 isn't an impressive deadlift, either.

  • @qualm43 two and a half years for 80 lbs is just sad. I don't even train the deadlift that much and I'll be doing more than that before Christmas. Go make another video with a sweatshirt on so we can see your "perfect form," and keep impressing the cardio bunnies

  • @qualm43 That ain't impressive either.

I can nearly lift that in squat - Raw.

  • @qualm43 But he was right on the form, it's pretty bad. 90% of your motion is in your back with only a little hip and leg movement. So yeah it is a good title if you explain in the description that you are being sarcastic...

  • @qualm43 i smell ego

  • @qualm43 lol. which still isn't impressive. Your form isnt even CLOSE to being good, and 485 is nothing special.

  • @qualm43 With bounce of the floor? Pathetic.

  • @qualm43

You're an idiot. And you even DARE to comment about somebody else not posting any videos. In my opinion you should be ashamed of yourself posting these kinds of videos. Your form in this video is downright awful. You should be able to see and tell that for yourself as well, since you seem to be so proud of your "PR's"...

But hey, this guy was just pointing out what you did wrong, in the end, you made the video and you did it wrong; so accept the negative comments as well.

  • @qualm43 straps on a deadlift...

  • @SlabIronChest

There's really no point in criticizing the guy. The fact is the deadlift is simply not an impressive lift until you begin hitting the high 5s and into the 6s. Reason being there are quite a few individuals who are able to deadlift in the 3s and 4s their first time in the gym. One of my buddies pulled 475 and just missed the lockout on 495 his second time deadlifting, right in front of me. Who gives a fuck if it's impressive. The guy is recording his progress.

  • @SlabIronChest I think you have a skewed view of what it is to put a video up on YT. Its not that this guy thinks he's the strongest guy EVER. Or that this lift is the most weight lifted EVER. Its just him doing a decent job of exercising ... post some videos of you DL'ing 455 and people will say good things and bad things. Way of the world.

  • @SlabIronChest if you were natural and small it would be .

  • @SlabIronChest If I can pull what I see in videos, it's not impressive... especially if I can squat what you can deadlift at a bodyweight of 180lbs.

  • @SlabIronChest i would say its pretty impressive, relax a bit dude, take it for what its worth, you are nothing special either, even though you obviously think you are and you have serious mental issues that dont allow you to just enjoy life, a 60 pound chimpanzee could kick your ass all day, you aint shit

  • @l1ttleguy1 I would never fuck with a chimpanzee, they would fuck any person's shit all up six ways from Sunday

  • @SlabIronChest 405 may not be that impressive weight but you forget that 99.9 bicep warriors in common gyms dont even do deads... its not like he said 405 perfect form powerlifting world record level, besides if you ask me it beats some off thouse show-offs drug-monkeys with their semi quarter bench or squat reps w/e, and like he said you havent got any videos so you cant really talk shit to him...

  • @muzimuzi the thing is I just hate snobs. And what kind of douche hits 405 for 2 and then thinks they need to show everyone how to deadlift? If your max is 405, then you can probably do "perfect form" (whatever that's worth) with maybe 315. You can't use "perfect form" with anything approaching your max.

And whether I have videos or not is immaterial. What I posted is true, so it doesn't require extra qualification.

  • @SlabIronChest U need to stfu. Dont wath the video then asshole. 405 is very impressive. If he did just start six months ago like u claim then that is really good. Stop cutting ass on people and get the fuck into a gym.

  • @SlabIronChest lol ou're such a hater. lay off the haterade.

  • @SlabIronChest You think you're cool because you deadlift 485? do you have an inverted penis?

  • @SlabIronChest brah, there's no filters on youtube you can say faggot all you want. brb misc making you write ph instead of f everywhere now. i know that feel.

  • @pong5551 I guess I'm just institutionalized, is all. brah.

  • Yeah good form bro, nice work

  • I think thats pretty good form bro, but you should start from the ground. Probly could have done some more. Wasted energy taking it off the rack and putting it down.

  • shitty form, starting from the top (wtf?), not letting the bar die, fuck you suck

  • Lol wdf is this crap? Deadlift mean you lift the dead weight from the ground.

  • Good job

  • Internet. Where everybody knows an active duty SEAL and can bench 1600lbs with 200lbs bodyweight.

  • You should settle your hips more a bit. You back is straight and all but you are using it a lot near your lock out. imo

  • Looks great, dont listen to the critics, your doing perfectly fine!

  • you didn't squat down.... form needs work, keep pushing that iron

  • how can you call it great form and then complain about shitty form?

  • great form, but that's about all. Bounced weight, chicken legs, and a shitty attitude outweigh 405 any day.

  • gettin jiggy wit it nahnahnah

the music in the background is boss

  • that is not even close to perfect form...

  • @Gregjornohh Ur face is not even close to perfect form

  • Is it true that leaning back at the top of the lift is bad for your back?

  • As Arnold once put it: "Ignore the naysayers."

You have plenty of them here. Take the constructive comments to improve yourself. Leave the naysayers behind. They're not worth your time ;)

    Keep lifting high, bro. =]

  • pussy straps and bouncing... that is not a deadlift, and your form isnt even close to perfect... and yes, i have vids under my username that trump that... no straps... dead weight... 405x14 @150... i know it feels good to pull heavy weight, but you need to learn how to do it correctly or dont call it a deadlift...

  • That is definitely not a deadlift. If anyone watching this is trying to learn to deadlift, forget everything you just saw.

  • No need to lean all the way back like that at the end, just stand tall.

  • Perfect form starts @ 0:21

  • amazing form

  • that's not a deadlift..

  • lol, look at that guys chicken legs

  • id be suprised if you could pull it from the floor

  • The bar must start from the ground in order for it to be a deadlift. Furthermore, your body mechanics need work. Your shoulders are drifting in front of the bar causing the lower back to take more of the load. Your legs also rise before your hips, causing the lower back to take more of the load. No worries though, we're all works in progress.

  • A SEAL said "your" a dip shit? I doubt that since most are fairly intelligent and know the difference between "your" and "you are" when they type. Obviously, you don't and weren't very successful in school.

  • Horrendous

  • so do we have to listen to "gettin jiggy with it" to lift 405? lol

  • Looked solid to me, I don't know why these internet pussies are bitching. They probably can't even deadlift 225.

  • good job but pull the weight from the floor

  • niceeeeee!

  • not hating man, but this is definitely NOT perfect form.

  • not hating man, but this is definitely NOT perfect form.

  • only watched this vid cuz i recognized your avi on the misc. lol

  • gay.

  • Rack pulls are gay

  • @Schuust Rack pulls with straps...You should make a noose out of that stupid hoody...Get Jiggy with it

  • Rack pulls are for gay

  • LOL

  • deadlift from a standing start position??hmmm...thats a new one

  • great job man..but stop holding that fucking weight for so long..i bet u couldve gotten 3 or 4 if u didnt hold it standing up for an hour..but non the less great job bro!!!

  • Straps. Fail.

  • I'll show ya how its done in 24 days.

Props for lifting to Will Smith though

  • impressive indeed but form is always better on the downward motion rather than "dead" off the groud, as the body corrects itself past the 1st rep

  • it is called the DEADlift because the kinetic energy of the bar is DEAD, and if you bounce 405 lbs off the floor and use gravity to help you pop it back up its not a deadlift. My PR's went way down when i stopped bouncing but it will make you stronger in the end.

  • @qualm43 lol strong misc.

  • @qualm43 Brah? hahaha douche bag........ go jerk off with a tap out shirt and shove some protein up your ass. Since you use the word bro I should tell you spoilers on fwd cars are not cool. Also there is no point to dead lift, I know a active duty SEAL that I sent this to and he said your a dip shit.

  • @qualm43

He mad brah. Implying you could bounce 400lbs off the floor like a basketball.

    He mad.

he was joking. Youtube is serious business folks.

  • @qualm43 hahahah that isn't even CLOSE to perfect form!

  • @qualm43 Oh he's mad

  • @rcoil84 lol u mad faggot?

  • @rcoil84 deadlift is one word...

  • @rcoil84 depends on ur needs, a SEAL wouldnt need to deadlift

  • @rcoil84 its not bouncing ... are u freakng dumb ?

  • @rcoil84 "no point to dead lift" what the fuck?! u know nothing.

  • @qualm43 Wow, nice chicken legs

  • @preynolds1 I'm doing 5/3/1 and im on my deloading week give me three and a half weeks and ill post a vid

  • @preynolds1 OK SO DOES THIS MAN (DEREK POUNDSTONE) DOING IT WRONG AS WELL???

    .youtube.com/watch?v=bf6H8yZEozw

The thing is that it is much safer to NOT stop momentum. Just ask The strongest American, Derek Poundstone.

  • @preynolds1 After watching it twice, how can you call that a bounce anyways? Its so minimal that the 'kinetic energy' that is being transfered is so minimal! I dislike the hating man, seriously....this video was good.

If you want to argue first watch this video....

    .youtube.com/watch?v=bf6H8yZEozw

  • @preynolds1 how does one use gravity to help bring stuff up? brb using air resistance to fall down faster.

  • @adimare0

....okay, lets do an experiment. grab a basketball and slowly lower it to the ground.

now pick it back up, and drop it from waist height. what happens?

    retard.

  • @preynolds1 Once again, what causes the ball to bounce is not gravity. Try again.

  • @preynolds1 believe it or not its actually called a deadlift because its supposed to simulate a dead weight lift, either way i agree this guy is doing it wrong but its not called because of no kinetic energy, just because of dead weight

  • yo man thats kind of dangerous, walking 405 forwards and backwards expecially if that weight is hard for you which those to reps seemed to be, might as well start from the ground in case you trip or something along those lines

  • Dude you didnt start from the ground. Other than that its pretty good

  • Dude you didnt start from the ground. other than its pretty good

  • great form... not sure what these guys are talking about on the stumble part...looks more like your adjusting your feet, ive seen stumbling on deadlifting and thats not it, and from what i can see the area around the rack is tiny probably no room to do anything properly without a bit of adjustment

  • Geez. Perfect form in caps makes you expect something really good! First thing you see is the guy already holding the bar and stumbling. LOL.

Either way. Holding too long at the top and you should never try to put the bar back in like that at the end, you are just asking for an injury.

  • @andyns yeah this is pussy form lol. he didnt start from the ground from a dead stop and he diud touch and go reps. thats the easy way to do it, plus straps. i wouldnt say this is good form.

  • nananananananananananana getting jiggy wit it !

    u mad ?

  • love your form

  • no thas damn perfect, the body is alligned great its called a hyper extension and in some usapl sanctioned meets we have to do those

  • PERFECT form
