  • LOL Omgoodness I was dying of laughter.. especially when the scissors failed to work.. Love you Amy!

  • Damn you, evil Amy Sedaris! I have enough friends and I no longer wish to be yours. In fact I was just walking along the street, minding my own business, when I pumped into Amy Sedaris and we are now great friends. So, you see, I no longer need YOUR friendship Amy Sedaris. Some friend you turned out to be. Granted this was back in 1996... but, so what!? Mind your own business, nosy.

  • I fight FOLK ART EVIL!

  • I make art that's HAPPY!

  • I MAKE CHICKENS WITH GOOGLY-EYES!

  • I make STICKMEAT!

  • my hero!

  • REALLY ORIGINAL!!! AWESOME

  • You are a doll, Amy!

  • "...or, you know, a gift for a shut-in."

  • Amy Sedaris,you make me laugh!!! More,more,more!!

  • Thank you! It's all happening so fast!

  • One time she signed my friend's book. His name was Demitrious - she signed it "Greeks are just Jews with no money." That's why I love her so much, and I just wish she showed the real way. Maybe now she will!

  • Oh forgot, before the wrapping of the yarn, put both 2 discs together as one. I like that she thinks it isn't as great as it is. Cause she totally does. Maybe someone is forcing her to not like making pompons. As much as she would have otherwise.

  • NO that's not how. You cut 2 equal size discs out of cardboard, old pizza boxes work nice. then cut a little hole in the middle of both, like the size of a quarter. Wrap the yarn around from the middle to the edges, so it's all covered. To cut the loops, just cut around the edges. Then, to make the 'waist', just slip a piece of yarn in between the discs and tie it tight. Amy is totally making fun of us people who know how to do it right..

  • I sewed pompons onto my neighbor's cat. She looks so pretty now!

  • eventually mine came out perfect

  • real crafting involves a lot of cussing. Go Amy!

  • I'm in love! LOL.

  • LOVE THIS!

I'm sure Amy is just being funny, but they are called "Pom-POMS" not "Pom PONS" !

She must be using the misprinted knock-offs from Chinatown or the 99. cent store!

  • @JasonMecier

Mecier est un nom francais, n'est ce pas? The original word pompon is also French. The English got it misspelled at some point ;)

  • @dlb909 Thanks for the heads up, i believe you! All the craft books i have call them POM POMS.

  • Cute! I also love just having loose pom poms around. She should tie the string around the yarn before pulling it off the rack to cut the loops. Also, I love the way she's using crappy scissors. That is exactly the way it goes in real life crafting.

  • I have a great McCall's pattern for tampon pompons...

  • haha, its really that easy!

  • Well thank GOODNESS for this video, Lady! My best friend gave me those most hideous winter hat, and I kept thinking "What am I going to DO with THIS?!" All I could think of was "burn", but pompons seem like the way to go. Less smoke, too!
