What happens when a car in the platoon (or even the one at the start) wants to go a different way? Also, what happens if the lead car / truck decides to change lane on the motorway - do they have to wait for a space big enough for the whole platoon to fit into? That'd never work on the M25!

Plusses: Better fuel efficiency through "drafting". Driver fatigue reduced. Reduced risk of rear-end chain reaction accidents.

Cons: The lead driver must be one hell of a safe, awake and good driver.
