To add insult to injury, this commercial depicts a gross inequity as women have more power than man, sending a message that this ad is counter sexist.

Men and women should be treated as equals without one gender belittling another.

Shame on JC Penney for encouraging discrimination, this time, against men.

It's a good ad, actually. I wouldn't say it depicts women as materialistic gold diggers so much as it suggests that people need to think a bit more carefully about the gifts they select. It's not vacuums vs necklaces so much as it is being actually thoughtful vs telling yourself that it's the thought that counts.
