  • nice.DPM or nothing!

  • @finalsolution14 Thanks my friend, take care.

  • interesting stuff....... what is the cost,,, of this set up roughly ? poles , i would think would cost the most.

  • @zukowitz1 Not sure, you may get the basha between £30 and £40. 100ft of paracord for 5-£10. I don't have the basha poles, perhaps I will try them in future

  • you have convinsed me to buy one

  • @nutnfancyproject Nice one mate, its a good tarp.

  • @ColinOutdoors colin, can you do me a massive favour?? I hacked up my tarp to make it smaller, but now i need some measurements, could you tell me the dimensions of the poppers along a edge, male or female so i could make a tarp that could connect to this one, please please please, lol i beg you

    regards jon

  • @chefslot Hi Jon, yeah I can do that for your, if you PM me to remind me I will get it done in the next couple of days

  • I've just bought two of these and i have to say i think they are the best bashas out there at the moment. Thanks for the great videos.

  • @soulstar1963 Nice one my friend, good choice on the basha's, Take care

  • Great vid mate. Nothing better than to hear rain pattering on my basha with a brew on.

A must have piece of kit.

  • @thicky7ern Thanks my friend :-)

  • @50cliber Sure do if it makes you stop watching my videos :-)

  • Okay, thanks. I think i`ll buy a tarp to start with because of the price then maybe, after a while maybe consider a basha. Thanks for the help.

  • @byronlegend Nice one mate, glad it helped :-)

  • Another great video Colin. I`m sorry for asking such an ignorant question but what is the difference between a Basha and a Tarp. Tarps seem to be much cheaper but I wan wondering what are the pro`s and con`s of both. Any help would be great.

  • @byronlegend Thanks mate, they are the same thing, the basha is what the UK military use. The material is lighter and better than say a plastic tarp. Its made from rip stop nylon

  • Good bit of kit. Surplus ones can be folded in half and used as a stretcher.

  • @TrousersDPM I agree, thanks my friend, yeah I have heard they can be used as stretchers, never tried it :-)

  • @MrJanesaddiction Yeah very true, the Webtex gear that I have used has always been of pretty good quality.

  • @MrJanesaddiction Well personally I like mine, and have enjoyed a few years use out of it so far and its still going strong

  • Youre going to want it to be lower and try and get some web tex basher polls, if you haveit this high the wind and rain wont give you as much protection as it normaly would on the ground.

  • @RIFLES2J This was a video showing the tarp not a set up design, I have at least 5 videos showing different configurations

  • @ColinOutdoors Oh ok :)

  • iv got that basha and its grate

  • @CaptinCam0 Cool, glad you like it, thanks for viewing

  • From my own experience i have found pretty much all of WebTex's stuff to be either plain shoddy crap or shoddy crappy copies of decent products. Such as thier copy of the Lowa Mountain boot, or thier copy of the PLCE Inf Bergan or thier PLCE pouce yoke and belt copies, all shite and useless.

    But a good review.

  • @hughes7520 This is the only piece of gear I own from Web-Tex but I am really happy with it, I think I have heard similar complaints about the belt pouchs and PLCE gear like you mentioned. I'll probably stay away from that stuff.

  • @hughes7520

I've found military contractors for the U.S. to be crappy design and mediocre quality.

Contractors focus on low cost, not quality.

  • Looks like a solid basher with the exception of the brass grommets

  • @medicjimr Thanks Jim, yeah the grommets are very poor

  • very nice.

  • @hinckleypoland Thanks mate

  • Great set-up & Tarp! 5 STARS

  • @bushcraftbartons Thank you Mike, I always appreciate your support :-)

  • @paddletramping Lol, you not a basha fan?

  • It has the exact same snap fixtures as my Auscam tarp.

I just thought of something...attaching your DPM tarp to my Auscam tarp...would look kinda cool i reccon....lol

  • @RDPproject Haha, that would be cool, is at a Hootchie that you have Rob? Like the on Ray Mears uses?

  • @ColinOutdoors

Yep...I have two. You can see them in my camping video that I put out just after xmas

  • Its still looking good mate.

  • @RDPproject Thanks Rob
