The Armadillo will always be remembered for the love that it made, and the love it gave. It brought hippies and rednecks together (even Hells Angels, who never had a Chapture in Texas.) to live and love the moment. We became a Family that lives to this day. The dillo was our home. Parts of this Family meet every year, to remember a moment in Time. The A.W.H. created a place for musicians to play, and entertain. And gave birth to the Middle Earth Medical Team, who helped those in need. Thanks.
No....the Dillo did not bring in huge acts. They went to the Municiple Auditorium which held alot more people. Willie wasn't huge then....Jerry Jeff was only huge THERE. It was a dump with a bunch of stoneheads pissing on themselves. It sucked. Good riddance.
