I love Silent Hill. It is one of my favorite video game series. I really love the music, Akira Yamaoka (hopefully I said that right) is one of the best video game composers out there. I have all the games (except Homecoming) and have all the soundtracks. This is one of my favorite songs out of the series.

i've never even played the game but I watched the endings and this song with the different endings, along with the flashback of cheryl and harry at the amusement park, just make me fucking lose it. Just the idea of a girl having to come to terms with the lose of her father, just heartbreaking. I swear to god if I ever have a daughter, I'll never leave her

Yamaoka is NOT GONE FROM SILENT HILL!!! He left Konami, but has stated that if he is asked to return for the next SH, HE WILL DO SO. The only reason why he would not compose for the next game is if Konami and/or whoever develops it does not ask him. But that does not in any way mean he's gone from the series.

I think for how this music was written for the game, it sounds better as an instrumental instead of a song you sing. Don't get me wrong, I love the song and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, but this works so much better. It's like a really sad lullaby, I felt like crying when I heard it in the game when I was watching the footage of daddy and daughter.

@SilentApprentice Same here, this track as an instrumental made that scene. It was hard for me to watch the ending, the footage broke my heart. Then also the line Harry says at the last part, "even though mom and dad don't love each other anymore, we both love you and always will" at that moment I couldn't hold the tears back, I went through that situation.
