The AI (Artificial Intelligence - something you lack) are not considered players. Players are people, as in real people. Multi, obviously meaning many. Therefore, multiplayer meaning, multiple players - people. Pretty self explanatory. Combat training does not come under the multiplayer section. Split screen is multiplayer, so, why isn't it called that? Combat training isn't, because there is only 1 player. (Or 2 depending on settings)
