These light heads only have a positive and negative lead coming off right? Which wire goes to which wire on the controller? Or is it more than self-explanatory?
@markstevenbuisness The positive leads are all combined and go to the single positive wire coming out of the controllers.
The negative leads are connected to the other wires coming out of the controller, which are colorcoded and the manual shows which colors are which number in the lightsequence.
@fopneus Awesome! thanks.. i have been wanting to make my own Traffic Advisor for sooo long but i haven't been able to find a good video or a good person that can explain it. Im looking the flasher up now and im going to be getting some Amber LEDs soon.. Thanks again!
Get LED's that are "dumb" prefereably, or get LED's that can run patterns but have a steady mode. There are LED"s about that, when 12V is applied, have a short delay before going into steady mode. You can't use those in the traffic advisor, you'll need to have them that will directly light up when 12V is applied. Good luck!!
@fopneus Hey thanks for the advice.. I am gonna get some cheap LED's to mess around with.. you know those China ones for like $5 a piece .. and ive seen vids on here where those work just fine.. we shall see!

Where did you get the LED heads from, and how hard was it to wire up?
I've been wantint to make my own lightbar for a while.

Bought the LED's in the USA, from a Soundoff dealer.
Wiring them up was easy, just follow the manual.

You can google it, or on ebay, they're between $40 and $50 depending on who's selling them

Very cool, but where do you buy a 9-wire (or above) cable?
mcelrec 3 years ago
I used a Whelen Edge control cable for this.
