  • this is how my family use to do it the stick is just an extension of your hand and some horses will run you over ive been trampled a couple times you never use the stick on the horse, like you see they did not do, its just so the horse relies that your there more then anything else same with the yelling. that's wat i think anyways lol that many horses in one group can get dangerous sometimes lol

  • Wow you guys are so dumb they never hit them and this is how you do it when you have that many horses also yeah they get clean water and food did you see how pretty they looked?? So yeah they are very well taken care of so fuck off all you dumb ass people who think think they know everything about horses.... Back the fuck off!

  • i love how you stood there and made the horse go the other way all while making the funniest sounds:)

  • Just wondering if I could use this footage for my school project, its a great shot, and the horses are gorgeous...

  • there are more ways to get horses to move besides hiting them

  • @chased45 i didnt see anyone hit any of the horses

  • Wow I can't believe all the negative comments ! Actually I can ; ignorance is supposed to be bliss but it sure does make some people soooo angry ! This looks like something I'd want to watch close up , wish I was one of your helpers .

  • This is wrong, you shouldn't be yelling at them and sticks and trying to poke them or whatever to get them in, I have three of my own and anytime we've had to move them, we never hit them like that! You people are horrible!

  • Wow. Tree huggers will find any excuse to lose their minds.

Why are we talking about food and water now? I'm pretty sure at least half of those horses are well beyond what one would call a "heavyset" horse.

As far as terrified horses go, take a look. They're running down to get grain. And we don't have them feeding on grain all day, (which I'm sure is a crime too) so they're amped to get dinner. And they're running past a hayfield to get to it (yet another snack that they would love to stuff in

  • That's horrible! Since when is it 'right' to run at a horse waving a stick because it doesn't go the way you want it to? By what I saw of that those horses aren't treated well. Whether they have access to clean water and food is beside the point. If those people aren't confident with the horses around then maybe they shouldn't be rounding them up and moving them to another paddock! The majority of those horses looked pretty freaked at the idea of those sticks and I'm sure at least 2 were lame.

  • Does the herd belong to you? They are such pretty horses!

  • You people are horrible! You must be the stupidest people I've ever seen! They were scared so bad and at least four were lame (if you people even know what that means) I own a 17.3 hand tall ex race horse stallion I run him every day never like this though!

  • What would you have done if a horse just turned around and decided to attack one of use?

  • Nicee... where is this ?

  • That horse at 1:00 looks a little bit like mine :))

    Nice video

I would like to see this in real life :)

    Gorgeous horses :)

  • whats the difference between using a stick and a crop? there the sam thing people!! lol who cares what they use the people are protecting them selves. if a horse charged at you or ran at you youd want a stick or a bag or anything you can grab to make then de tour lol its not animal crulety.. if it was dont you think someone would have done something by now?? or band riding whips and crops.. horses are smart and are alwasy testing you lol dont be so quick to judge.

  • love this stuff

  • To the person who thinks they were wrong using what they did to keep the horses going the right direction, grow up. Not once do you see them hit the horses or be mean to them in anyway. Wow.

    Great video, beautiful horses.

  • I don't know why people are critisizing you! None of the horses were hurt, injured, or even frightened. They looked like they were enjoying themselves auctually!

  • why are u doing that to them ???

  • they r not hitting the horses with the sticks that just scares the horses trust me i have horses

  • well I for one think you all did an excellent job at rounding them all up!

  • Why don't you just build a friggin fence and leave the horses be.

  • oh- and by the way- the little baby grey with the white face in the beginning of the second wave is gorgeous!

  • you people are hilarious! just freaking hilarious! those horses were not beat, nor harmed so you need to shut your mouths. You probably have never had a to face a running horse- guess what? They can kill you bitches- so they need to respect you. the stick WAS NOT. Wise the hell up. And oh yeah- learn how to spell "concentration"- if you are going to try to insult someone, the least you can do is try to not sound uneducated.

  • every one who says chasing a horse in from the field is cruel is retarted. they didn' t hit them they just chased them the horses were obviously not affraid

  • You people are horrible, I volunteer at a horse riding centre and we run 205 horses in every day of the week...sure we may carry crops and bridles with us...but definitely not sticks...and most of those horses were doing exactly what they had to do..yet you still yelled at them and waved sticks at them...we only use the crop or bridle if the horse is not doing anything its told...and we would never whack them...

  • You are hilarious! lol. We dont have crops on the ranch because we dnot use them, nor need to. We have also used garbage bags to wave because these horses want to get to the frass pasture behind us. alot of these people are afraid that the horse will run through them (and some may) so they feel more comfortable holding a stick. No problem. They never get used on the horses. They all know the drill and love to come in for supper. There is really no need to question how we did things.

  • @gilliss82 I have to use a stick, i dont have a crop, plus, my horse spent the past winter on th emountian running loose with our neighbors pony. the pony is gaining years, he bites, hes aggressive, VERY, and taught my horse bad habbits, such as biting, refusing to come near humans, charge at humans, kick, and well, dont want anyting to do with me, so just to catch my other horse, who is trained, i have to carry a stick so i wont get hurt, atleast she knows not to come near people whith sticks.

  • where do u volunteer

  • @jackodude2003 not a single person whacked a horse. and just fyi, a crop is hardly different then a stick, it's just certified for horse training. the stick was being used just for encouragement. it was clear in the end that the horses were not afraid of the people or their sticks, this means they have never hurt the horses with the sticks. the yelling and waving is classicly used in all herding/moving with all animals.

  • I live on a ranch and I would never use stickes to round up my horses. You dont bond with them do you? People like you should never be aloud to own horses because yall dont look at them as family!!! I hope you go to hell!!

  • ...check the video. did a SINGLE person USE a stick? No. Also, if you look at the path that they're running on, its well worn. They know where they're going. Our job is to hold them against the fence so that they end up in the corral and not the hay field. And yeah lady, we do bond with them. thats how they're trained. thats how they carry random people who have never ridden before, up, down and all over the mountains. Believe me. They're family.

  • @gilliss82 then what do you call that thing in her hand at 1:04 hmmmm

i think its called a stick or at least that is what it looks like

  • @XxTheHauntingLovexX i agree !!!!! and there laughing about it !!

  • @rocky143boy exuse me i DONT EVEN GO TO THAT BARN but im sure they bond with the horses. maybe in a different way than u but shut the fuck up bc u dont know them and ur talking trash to them about how they need to take care of horses. i stick up for ppl when i feel i need to so now im trashing u. SHUT THE HELL UP, GET A LIFE AND LEAVE THEM ALONE.

  • looks like a one of those koncentrationcamps in ww2. And the girl laughing behind the camera sound like a wicked slave keeper.. :(

  • Just wondering, why are you running them?? Like moving them or what. Pretty ponies!! What breed are they? That little paint baby in front on the second wave is gogeous!!

  • They are all mountain horses from the Chilcotins. They are coming in from the mountains for the evening to their corrals for holding. They get moved twice a ay everyday when they come in for work or training, and circulated throgh different pstures during the day to graze.
