@burt2481- I do apologize then of earlier I was fired up about how I perceived the video to be. Let us talk like gentlemen then. I will start by saying as reenacting is a hobby not everyone could make it dues to previous issues (i.e. work, sports, family events, etc..) I for one had work, I cannot comment on other reenactors though.
Burt i will be at the collings foundation WWII Re-enactment this weekend Oct. 8th and 9th, in Stow MA, 134 Barton RD. I would love to talk to you in person.
Burt, last years video was great i agree. The public battle was unfortunatly un-viewable at times it happens. There was actually more German Re-enactors than Allied this year. I was the one driving the 1940 Ford also. And I did serve my country.
I did not show up because of a magical thing called WORK. Look it up sometime! This is a hobby and those who can show up will try to show up. Those who cannot show up have previous things to do like WORK!!!!! I am not a disgrace to reenactors and I commented what I did because I believe in standing up for what I believe in and if you want to mock people who reenact then I have the right to mock you.
@panther224 The magical think called work was not justification for your profane comments. Another reenactor said this about your juvenile comment, "I have no idea who that was. We are the 12th SS and we do not talk like that. We keep an eye on our men. I can not speak for the other reenactors. That is their problem. We hope you do not meet up with that squirrel."
@panther224 That comment is a disgrace to the reenactors but shows who you are. Next year come, say it to my face, I will put it on the video, if you have ANY guts whatsoever. Of course if it rains you won't show.
For your information I am Also a reenactor in one of the units that participated in the battle. First of all that truck you see is a 1940 ford with a camo scheme seen in various photos. Second of all WWII was not all fought in fields. Believe it or not but there are woods in Europe! What a shocker! Third of all I have reenacted in torrential down pours so I know what it's like. I would also like to see where you also get your information from. Finally I hop
@panther224 I got my information from thre reenactors that were there who complained about the pansies that did not show up due to rain. How would I know if they did not tell me?
Oh, and lets see.....About the whole Rain situation...... We're not in the real army.... We have actual lives to live, and some people out there still might be dealing with the floodings they got from the hurricane! So far I haven't seen 1 good video from you, with these battles, and if you ever come back, you better have your info straight!! You think you know everything, and don't ever wanna hear what the other person says, cause you think you're right! HA!
@TigerlilyBLGM Not only are you not in the real army I doubt you ever was. I served from 1963-67 and you? The TROPICAL STORM was over a month ago. I did a video of last years Camp Edwards reenactment, it was loved by the participants not because I was good but because the reenactors were good. If I come back I would be glad to meet and put you on the video saying whatever you want if you have the guts to do so. This years event was crap, you saw what I shot, you gave the public poop
This is a comment made from my fiance: I was in this event, its a public battle in a wooded area its very hard to see, but we do it for the public. If your so concerned give a donation to better understand history for ignorant people. By the way the truck is a 1944 ambush scheme, look in the wierd things called BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@TigerlilyBLGM Strangely enough last year's reenactment in the SAME place was easy to see, look at last year's video. The German soldier in the truch was drinking out of his canteen SEVERAL times during the "battle", standing up. I did not shoot it because it would have made you look worse.

@tron2102 Not to be disrespectful to your unit and all but....... You guys had too many farby items around at your display and battle! I saw lots of soda/juice bottles around, and coolers laying around. The nurse's uniforms are also not correct, and I saw one guy going out into battle with a big black digital watch on his wrist. You guys have to make sure you police up your area! Hide it in boxes, or whatever you gotta do, but you can't have everything laying around, out in the open!
Im part of one of the units that performed at this event. I am honestly embarassed that my unit didnt perform the fight right infront of the crowd like they were supposed to. I wasnt there but this still greatly upsets me...
Ok there were some mistakes made in the reenactment on Sunday, but next year will be differant. It will be better.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
That re-enactment was 13 kinds of awful. I hate it (speaking as a german re-eanactor myself) when the event blows because incompetent people plan it.
