it was just really dark. im hoping that the audience still saw what was going on and that the lens on the camera that filmed the dance wasnt sensitive to blue/orange light. Does this dance look ok on the DVD?
Just looked over the captured footage and the lighting is fine.If you're worried about seeing every detail of the costumes, then lighting did hurt you.
Overall I felt like I wasn't force fed anything. The silhouettes highlighted the beauty of the movements. The key light with the cookie in front of it revealed subtle details of costume and heightened certain movements.
If I had to add criticism, light blocking was a bit off because while the action was stage left/right, the key light was spot in the middle. In some instances this made me focus on the dancers in the background than the leads in the front.
