  • Now the UK has alien immigrants. I think aliens would make their way to the UK, after all everyone else seems too.

  • Yeah, UK does have alien immigrants. Just like me for example. I am the programmer in an AMERICAN company (based in London), as there was no people to do the job. Somehow being an alien I'm contributing to the growth of UK's IT. Am I being an Invader?

  • WOW!!!!

  • this would make a great movie

  • i also wish they'd make a movie on this... amazing!

H.G. Wells is one of the finest writers in English, give him a break and a touch more respect. Don't come to the U.K. it's already full of illiterate fuck wits as it is.

  • @mygodhowbigisthat

    Shut Up!

  • @mygodhowbigisthat

  • Bravo!

  • fantastic crnt wait for part 8

  • part 8 is out now mate!

  • is there anyone able who's the speaker?in my oppinion its orson wells!

  • Metal, actually the speaker is Sir Richard Burton. (yes, the one from "Cleopatra" and "Where Eagles Dare". Check out Jeff Wayne's "War of the Worlds" cd set. =Stefan=

  • it's Richard Burton !

  • It's Richard Burton.

  • I see you are still here. That is a good thing. I have not been on your site for a while but I have been busy. Glad I rewatched it also.

  • watched 1 to 7, very impressed Richard, can't wait for part 8

  • its proper amazing really brings the original jeff wayne story to life!!!! the hollywood tom cruise effort isnt even in the same galaxy as these films tbh

  • have you read the book? i love the jeff wayne's version (i have seen all 4 movies, read the book 12 times, seen 3 of the 4 TV shows, and herd the radio play, i'm a big fan of H.G. Wells and The war of the worlds)but no one can beet the original book.

  • Brilliant job. Really brilliant. I'd really like to be able to see your work on a disc, you know, for the whole War of the Worlds. Watching your work on my projector is awesome.

  • Very classy effort, I could not stop watching. Your work has blasted the Jeff Wayne epic firmly into the realm of NOW!

  • this is supper sick! i'd love to see what you could do with a budget. keep it up. :)

  • Youtube kicked out 697 results for 'jeff wayne war of the worlds'.

This I chose cuz it has a cool looking album cover.

I had no idea there is so much good taste out there. Thank you for not letting me be the only person to listen to this album.

I see there are additional later albums.

A live concert and a remake???

    Any recomendations???

  • Quality

  • yeah!! great stuff!!

  • ace ace ace ace !!!!!!!!!!! thanks!!!!!

  • The War of the Worlds is an awesome book! I was gonna see the older movie on YouTube, but this one caught my eye!

  • WOW !!! i Thought the sound track was great when i first heard it ....then saw jeff waynes war of the worlds @ the O2 ...but NOW this !!!! My friend i thought it couldnt get better .....But you have beat it all .....I take my hat of to you ......Wicked Video .....you should make a DVD for it?? great work ..Well done All the Best

  • Dude for the first time ever I am GOBSMACKED, I've watched thousands of youtube posts. But you got me open mouthed in awe.

    YOU HAVE TALENT!

Seriously, you took the Jeff wayne album and then made your own film to go with it, and what is more the film roxxs. Get out there and become a film director. YOU are the next steven stilsberg...

  • Hells belles you did this yourself, no shit! You should get it put onto DVD and approach a couple of DVD film companies, with a "concept idea" for a movie to update the 70s album, heck it could have a sister collectors special edition CD of the Jeff Wayne Album and all us oldies would buy it by the thousands!

Thanks sooo much for doing this project.

I've subbed you and sent you a friends invite. I'm impressed!!

  • OMG! Seriously they made the album a film. I'm in heaven. I loved H G Welles war of the worlds the novel. I loved Orson Welles the Radio play. I loved the 1950s film, and then came the album late seventies, and I played it endlessly. Richard Burton is so cool, and I had the hots for David Essex as a Teen

I was about 17 when the album came out, -it was the biggest thing of the year, but when I hear the opening music, I'm transported to my youth.

Awesome Kudos to you for posting this.

  • Thanks for this. Amazing! Fantastic job. Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds has a special place in my heart. It used to terrify me as a young child and iv had a copy since 1985. Its one of the best rock/classic opera/musical (its difficult to class!) and the greatest SciFi novel ever written. Your video does it total justice and I commend you. *****FIVE STARS****

  • Outstanding videos. How do I download them? Thanks.

  • you need a video downloader like ArcSoft

  • Is this real?

Like will there really be a new version of it.

    If so WHEN?

  • When is Jeff Wayne going to his movie version of The War Of The Worlds.

  • I hope never, its been done enough and ruined in half of those, what he has here is a unique way of presenting, and one that will last.

  • Fab! Kudos!

Brings back memories. Still got the audio cassettes from 1978. Although the music is over 30 years old it's so up-to-date and together with your films - thrilling and exciting as ever! I really enjoy watching every part. Can't wait to see more.

    Many thanks.

  • Tak for deling, det er det fedeste kult !

  • Work of genius all parts so far are fantastic

  • Absolutely brilliant!!!

Excellent animation!!I loved every minute of the video.

    I have even Favourited it!!

    I rate it 5/5

    :-)

  • Well... In my opinion this is one of the best videos about "War of the Worlds" (sorry for grammar and other mistakes, my English isn't very good). I even think that this is better than Tom Cruis adaptation!

  • Dude that was awesome. Well done!!!!!

  • This is a great video for some awesome music! good job!

  • OMG!!! As we say in Hawai'i, "Chicen Skin"!! =Stefan=

  • Yes, yes they are.

  • Jeff Wayne is hardly disco - this is more like Moody Blues (Justin Hayward vocals) meets ELO. Love the vinyl album.

  • @CyndiWinter its called 70's rock

  • War of the Worlds set to a Disco soundtrack? I'll be killing myself right now.

  • I was there, In the Heineken Music Hall!

  • now thats just awsome...hat off..

  • Just a quick question but why wasn't these "falling stars" shot down after all they do have the means to do that.

  • because everyone thought they were just shooting stars

  • We don't have the means to shoot them down even today. Otherwise ICBM's would pose little threat..

  • Darn, guess I've been watching too much sci fi!

Still its still remarkably good considering the original story was set at the start of the 20th century (or was it the end of the 19th?)

  • Yeah i find myself getting mixed up with what we can do and what we do on TV a lot too ^^' end of C19, a lot of its pretty advanced for its day, but the idea of firing the pods from a hydrogen cannon all the way to Earth would kill anyone in said pod xD

  • wassupuidiots, could not agree with you more.

  • this is great

  • Well done. You deserve the congressional medal of f*****g awesome for this.

  • I am totaly gob smacked. Amazing job.

  • awesome ty so much

  • Cool!

  • very good!!

  • Fantastic Work

  • thank you VERY much for bringing back fond memories

  • HOLY SPIT, i remember listening to this in the 1980's on WIZM (Z-93) out of La Crosse, Wi

  • And they play Crap now its sad

  • Man!! this makes me want to play the PC game of it again!!

it is an RTS and you get to fight the martians with your tanks and mobile guns!! a great game, it uses the music and naration too

  • This is Fantastic!!

  • Great stuff keep em coming! :)

  • Why, oh why did you cut off the best part of the music? That staggering opening, the strings, followed by the rock band, it's the defining moment of the entire album, why discard it??

  • Because every body expected it:)

  • Everybody expected giant fighting robots in Transformers, too, doesn't mean it was a bad thing!

  • good comeback,, big mistake in my opinion, some things you just can't mess with,,,war of the worlds without that opening sequence is like,, erm,, i dunno meatloaf bat outta hell without bat outta hell on the album,, FIX IT,

  • I Saw This On Friday In Birmingham And It Was Really Good

Richard Burton Was Perfect As The Role Of The Narrator

  • Hi, I saw the musical last night at the O2 in London - brilliant stuff. This morning I chanced upon your version and am blown away by how good it is. Well done! Have loved Jeff's masterpiece for years and I love your clever updated visuals.

  • I was there too it was brilliant

  • Me too, I would love to know what that mix was that they played as people left the arena, anyone know?

  • Blend of the worlds by zeb wayne

  • wow :) i'm hooked

  • If you are in California You can be assured that if H.G.Well's prediction come true as he wrote it,then Surrey is first.I remember playing in Richmond park and Richmond Surrey.Indeeed some of my Dad's family come from there.

  • LOL Gordon Brown - "The chances are a million to one" - classic, made me laugh that bit!

  • Absolutely fantastic, better than Speilbergs attempt!! Someone should make a film based on Jeff Wayne's music but well done to you, very good!!

  • This guy is the definition of awesomeness. Everyone talks about how bad the Spielberg film is, but has anyone seen the Pendragon version of the film, made on a budget of $5000 and follows the book to a fault. The Effects are horrible but I want to check it out to see for myself :)

  • BRILLIANT, just BRILLIANT!

  • You've done a superb job, I enjoyed every episode and favorited them, 5 stars all too. Thank you.

  • Could the martians just kill gordon brown then leave again or just take him with them, they probably wouldnt want him either

  • Absolutely Super 10+++++++++++++

Can You Put it on the Market when Finished

  • this is ace i like stuff like this i finde it intresting thanks for posteing

  • lol thin lizzy is in this :O rip thin lizzy

  • lol no they aint, its just thin lizzy's lead singer/ bass player phil linott

  • yes he is thin lizzy plays as the preacher in the story i have the album mate

  • i got the album too dude, he isnt thin lizzy...that was the band he was in

  • Exactly. Itkirov doesn't know what he's talking about.

  • what was the other music at the start with the opening credits?

  • no music intro as on the album anyone noticed the same

  • The theme music to ALIEN one of the best sci fi movies of all time.

  • the soundtrack is the eve of war - war of the worlds

    this is reply for reddalek555

  • ive got the album, the original, the remastered and the live DVD, so i know the difference between The Eve of the War and opening music. I meant the music when Burton was saying the opening speech. but thanks anyway. :)

  • Sorry about one of my earlier comments. This is just awesome no matter how youl look at it.

  • I think I have to agree with the one person. Tone down on effects. It's still awesome and I would like to see a dvd . Don't tone down too much however. It's awesome and yes I believe it is the only video that's been done.

  • love all this, but! no reason for aliens to arrive on this planet because we r sucking all the resources off ourselves, goin to b nowt left soon... they be best of visiting 1 of the moons of saturn, plenty there. but better b quick coz the homosapien is on there way, very soon. well maybe the 1000 year, but thats short time on scale o things... sleep tight :)

  • there are always other reasons.....

  • Thing is if something alien did crash, would our governments tell us. If they started invading they would have no choice, but if they could cover it they would....

  • yeah, too true. The government must try to control the level of fear in the nation, too little and people will start standing up to them, too much and there will be mass panics, there'll be riots and the whole system will be completely riddled with anarchy.

  • Haha, at 5:00, "Craft could be a secret Chinese project crash."

  • Talk about wierd. I just finished watching the C.Thomas Howell version of War of the Worlds, turned on Youtube and had this in my shared box.

  • i thought this would be the real one lol

  • super job

  • knowing our luck a alien craft will crash probably somewhere near the antarctic

  • Brilliant, they should have done a film/ musical to this when it first came out. Thanks for posting.

  • Awesome. I still belive the best martian machines were developed by Classics Illustrated. True to Wells. Merci

  • you have done a superb job on this. Looking forward to part 6 already. Hurry up. lol.

  • Shockolanu, you , to put it mildly, are an idiot

  • Thank you. I'm sorry, my English is a little rusty. But still, they will come.

  • Very thanks for sharing it!!! ^^

  • Amazing... I've got the original soundtrack in my house, this is ingenious!

  • Great clip, 5* The sound is a little fuzzy but, other than that, it's a great clip. Good job.

  • stupid my arse, this is a classic and almost deffinatly the best alien story of all time

  • Very well done :)

  • oh and you did a great job on the videos

i was laughing when it showed gordon brown hahaha

  • i have this on cd

this was much more accurate to the book then the tom cruise movie those aliens looked good in that movie but h g wells story is much more intresting then the modern version im reading war of the worlds right now my favourite character is parson nathaniel

  • BLOODY AWESOME! Masterpiece!!

  • "No-one would have believed, in the final years of the Century of the Fruitbat, that Discworld affairs were being watched keenly and impatiently by intelligences greater than Man's, or at least much nastier; that their affairs were being scrutinised and studied as a man with a three-day appetite might study the All-You-Can-Gobble-For-A-Dollar menu outside Harga's House of Ribs..." -- (Terry Pratchett, Moving Pictures)

  • Haha THAT'S WHY Terry Pratchet is a GENIOUS!

  • Indeed! Have you seen "Hogfather: the Movie"? It is outbloodyfantastic!

  • this is so much better than that pile of crap movie staring the wierdo tom cruse however you spel his name. good job man this is realy good :) 5/5 i used to listen to the musical when i was younger its ace lol. i proper wish they would of done a better job on the movie remake its so shit i dont even think of war of the worlds when i watch it and why is it in america anyway its yea the whole worlds invold but the story of war of the worlds is set in britain hate how americans do that
