have you read the book? i love the jeff wayne's version (i have seen all 4 movies, read the book 12 times, seen 3 of the 4 TV shows, and herd the radio play, i'm a big fan of H.G. Wells and The war of the worlds)but no one can beet the original book.

OMG! Seriously they made the album a film. I'm in heaven. I loved H G Welles war of the worlds the novel.  I loved Orson Welles the Radio play. I loved the 1950s film, and then came the album late seventies, and I played it endlessly. Richard Burton is so cool, and I had the hots for David Essex as a Teen

I was about 17 when the album came out, -it was the biggest thing of the year, but when I hear the opening music, I'm transported to my youth.
