While on the page do alt+f4, gets rid of it.

  • pwnd by task manager XD

  • I like how it says "Dont close this window unless you want your pc to be clean!"

  • It happen to me but I had webroot that quarnitine the virus

  • lol what if u have a Mac

  • anti maleware doctor ;)

  • those things are evil!! i just pull the internet plug out as soon as it comes up then ctrl+alt+delete.

  • My computer says that it has no internet. but my connection is plugged in and i can access the internet. now i cant run antivirus updates! anyone know how to solve the problem??

    thank you

  • "Don't close this if you want you PC to be clean."... It should be "your" not "you". Read it out loud and listen to how stupid it sounds lol.

  • This is all I do in my support job is remove these "fake" Anti-virus programs they have become so prevalent on XP systems.

  • this guy's using sandboxie. just so he cant get infected. -.- use a vm >>

  • @ShevaFC - Sandboxed malware gets recovered into Restore Points, so the infection is there in System Restore :-)

  • @cotojo1253 wats the site? pm me

  • @cotojo1253

Dude, I love your voice in this video, it just makes me laugh. Reminds me of a ticked of Professor Snape on the computer. It's perfectly monotone with a hint of annoyance.

I really wish the government would crack down on these fraudulent anti-virus programs. It's really not fair for the public! They literally cheat you into buying their product that's actually a piece of s***.

  • i got one that posed as vista security centre, it said i had to buy the full version and it said my firewall was disabled but i couldn't enable it without buying the full version. System restore saved my ass, i put it 4 days back! :D

  • @tommuz96 - They all prompt users to purchase the crap to remove 'problems found' but the program is the problem. Using System Restore has now infected your restore points. Download Norman Malware Cleaner and run it as administrator to remove malware from restore points or better still turn OFF Sys restore to purge all Restore Points and create a new one :-)

  • @cotojo1253

well nothings wrong with my pc, guess i'm just lucky, thanks for the tip :-D

  • @tommuz96 - As long as it stays clean that's all that matters :-)

  • damn antivirus is virus im confused

  • @ andersalbh - There are many fake programs that claim to be 'antivirus' programs but are merely the downloader for more malware and turn computers into bots. Many users also purchase the fake programs and then get into a cycle of problems. Sticking to the well known programs is much safer :-)

  • I jusst removed one. Tis a bitch to remove.

  • @BendersBestFriend - Malware changes and so do removal methods as each tool used has to evolve along with the malware :-)

  • @cotojo1253 HEy, i had that same virus trying to install, just before it reached 100% like at 0:30, I CUTed the power from the power supply switch, i started my computer, started normally... and then.. NO VIRUS, no fake antivirus, pc works great, I think by shutting down the computer that way, the fake virus didnt manage to install!! :D but i might have damaged my HDD, not sure.. what do u guys think?

  • @andersalbh no dude antivirus is antivirus. but this video u watched was a FAKE virus. its's is to lure and trick people to buy this one. once u done it, it will get worse. so dont get confused.

  • @Johncitocastillo - This is NOT a trick to get anyone to buy anything - I DON'T SELL ANYTHING but I do provide information of well known, FREE removal tools that work :-)

  • @Johncitocastillo type in personal antivirus in youtube, its a fake antivirus I got a while back in windows xp.

  • CTRL Alt Delte process manager works good

  • @ CssGoxD - Alt +F4 closes the browser, stops it dead in its tracks, quicker and easier than Task Manager :-)

  • one time my pc got one of these we had to reformat our hard drive and lost all of our files =-( but now i have norton =-)

  • @ igenther99 - I know of many Norton and other well known security suite users who still get infected, there is no 100% security, but using a sandbox, winpatrol and web of trust adds layers of protection :-)

  • Download?

  • when i get a fake Virus scan, i hit the restart button(on my pc) start it up again , takes the internet cable out , and scan the pc (with a real anti-virus)

  • merkeren32 - When you get a fake AV scan, hit Alt +F4, it closes the browser. No need to disconnect from the internet but scan with an antimalware such as malwarebytes free as many antivirus programs will NOT remove or find malware deposited by fake scanners :o-)

  • @cotojo1253 Malwarebytes rocks, whoever made that program is a geneius

Sometimes pull the plug out of the computer when a fake scan comes on because sometimes it won't let you exit the browser or it will turn the browser into a little pop-up notice!

  • The trojan associated with these are Mal/Generic-A

  • Pokemon978IsBackOn - The Trojan name varies with different AV companies, some see it as generic-a, some as trojan fakesmoke and so on. As rogue programs increase so do the variations of what is implanted within them :-)

  • Generic-A is with Vista AV, according to Webroot.

  • Pokemon978IsBackOn- It wil still vary with diggerent AV vendors as they all prefer there own specific names for the malware variants. Upload on eto vurustotal and it will show the different names used by 40 AV's :-)

  • This happened to me 4,500 times...

  • triplepogi2009 - Use add-ons such as Web of Trust and blockers using Hosts Manager, SpywareBlaster or SPybot S&D :-)

  • I know-I use a new PC now, with Windows Vista and McAfee...

  • triplepogi2009 - I have XP, Vista and Windows7 but even with McAfee there is no 100% security, make use of simple apps, web of trust addon, SpywareBlaster or Spybot, and Threatfire, they add to a layered approach to security with very low resources :-)

  • Yeah, I know, but I have to save disk space-I use eMachines (my relativein the USgave it to me).

  • That must suck.. dont those fake antiviruses also have identity theft... i used to have P A V but i never re opened it..lol

  • iphonet33n - The fake AV's and other rogue programs only want credit card details, it's a very lucrative and well organised business machine for the criminals behind it. Once they have the details the user is then at risk of ID Theft and Fraud so users need to research before downloading this junk and stick to well known and respected software :-)

  • I had the same, I searched dr octagonapus on deviantart and it opened this.

  • pokerockmario123 - There are thousands of sites with these rogue programs which will load malware onto users machines. When finding one, hit alt+F4 to close open browsers, clean the temp files and reboot then scan with malwarebytes antimalware :-)

  • oh, I turned my internet off :D

  • pokerockmario123 - Disconnecting from the internet does not guarantee that malware was stopped as many download via 'backdoor' downloads without the users knowledge or consent :-)

  • oh noes D: what now?

  • pokerockmario123 - Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, install, update and perform a Quick Scan, remove any infections it finds then reboot. Any problems send me a message :-)

  • thank you!

  • pokerockmario123 - You're welcome :-)

  • I accidenetly visited this site, but it didn't seem to work with my good ol' vista!

  • 96jojaon - There are thousands of these fake sites just waiting to infect innocent users with driveby downloads. Always keep an up to date version of malwarebytes installed, works well against most threats :-)

  • I got that once and then for shits and giggles I did it on my ipod touch lol

  • Thegamer5150 - That's one way of infecting your ipod! It also downloads to cell phones etc and then get transferred as users connect their devices to their computers :-)

  • I didn't download it just did the fake virus animation

  • Thegamer5150 - Behind the flash animation, many variants now carry a keylogger :-)

  • shits and giggles-I love that saying! Lmao i have got these b4 but knew the drill already tho! :) thanks for sharing the info tho cotolo1253!! :)

  • DjSprinks890 - The early ones were easier to remove, now they have a payload that includes rootkits, password stealers and a whole bunch more :-)

  • renegadebomber - It's a hard task for any program but many will stop most malware, and the most important thing is common sense :-)

  • renegadebomber - Even NOD32 does not stop all of the malware :-)

  • Create a Panic button to get rid of things that are malicous on the internet

  • Sanandreas33333 - If it were only that simple LOL.

There are many in security forums working to remove these parasites and to ensure that they get blacklisted :-)

  • It could be-if you know how to program one xD

  • Avast! 5.0 will be better

  • You should choice Avast its really good

  • Agent349 - I use Avast on my main machine, but there is a lot of malware that AV programs do NOT remove :-)

  • Does Norton 360 remove them? and also, I came across a site like this one and now, they have updated to vista theme

  • chrischoy9 - Generally, AV programs will NOT remove many of these threats as they are not viruses, although some AV's will block them from downloading in the first place.

  • Can Malwarebytes will remove them?

  • chrischoy9 - In most cases malwarebytes and Superantispyware will remove them.

Also open your Run command from the Start Menu and type in mrt then press Enter, this will start the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool which will also remove some of the threats :-)

  • Oh okay.

  • crazyanimechickbunny - Should have stayed with Avira :-)

AVG is the most popular but also one of the least efficient.

  • i have AVG,Superantispyware, and malwarebytes antimalware do you think im protected?

  • crazyanimechickbunny - In another comment you said that you had Avira AV which is better than AVG...I do hope that you only have ONE antivirus installed?

Check my site for all the protection you need, it's listed in the 'more info'

  • I avoided this one, how? When it first asks you to scan, hold ALT and press F4 rapidly.

  • Bobthechicken777 - It is easy to stop this junk from downloading, but it is getting more devious in its methods with the new strains that are now coming around. I'm safe as I surf within a sandbox and such infections don't get through the virtual area but for many users they get stuck with it, but in the majority of cases it can also be easily removed.

  • thats what i do...i feel sorry for those people who dont know what to do..as you said before

  • Parilblade001 - Sadly far too many don't, they get sucked into it and then the problems begin.

  • when i come across a fake program site and it wouldn't lets me exit so i used task manger

  • brandongunner213 - Task manager is the easiest way, simply using it to close all browsers works, but sadly many users don't think about it.

  • the only real anti virus is avg norton and mcafee all the rest are scams

  • Darbytime - AVG will NOT remove such malware threats and I would also say that AVG is also one of the less effective antivirus programs, but anything is better than Norton or McAfee.

  • I like Superantispyware Best

It detected 13 Virusses, AVG detected 4 of them

  • Hondje43 - Superantispyware works well in tandem with Malwarebytes antimalware, especially with the different variations around

  • just use ESET Smart Security and ad-aware ok?

  • SnapHacker - AdAware does not find all of the infections deposited by malware, MBAM and Superantispyware out perform it every time

  • r0kud - No browser is safe, it's users clicking on links or malware being downloaded silently as drive-by downloads.

  • Hey I got one even better...

    DON'T USE INTERNET EXPLOITER!
