this guy is a real artist in the tradition of every protest singer who ever exhorted people to be better than they are - his positive attitude is a real reminder of the best of the '60's, and demonstrates that these themes are timeless and universal - how has it been put before: "accentuate the positive", "love your neighbor as yourself", "do the right thing" - Hutz is reminding us of what we need to remember, that we need to care about one another and take action to make our lives better

pretty much saying that all the problems in the world and frustrations about society can fuel songs about wanting to fix them or critique them and furthermore fuel you to actually want to do something about it, whether its spreading the knowledge through music or doing something else

The chords to this song qre pretty simple really, in this video he is playing D7 then to A7 then to Bm and somtimes Bm7. During the verse is picking a Root to 5th bass pattern

This is definitely in my top three Gogol Bordello songs and it sounds phenomenal acoustic. They are such a pivotal band for 'good music' nowadays, being that they actually write and perform music because of their passion for it rather than for the paycheck they receive from it. I can't help but respect them for that.

@DiJone i agree, you have to respect that as it is getting harder and harder to make a living as a recording artist. integrity is a word that comes to mind when thinking of Eugene and Gogol Bordello.

@jaydenn73 He is sure great solo, but I think everything is cool as it is now, Gogol Bordello are great just the way they are, and with a solo album it wouldn't be hard to make the rest of the band think Eugene is trying to promote himself. Anyhow I love them just the way they are and is the only band that makes me happy with each and every one of their songs.
