  • Ah..! Memories. This was a favourite of mine when I was little, and er, still is. <3

  • Oh piles. What has happened to my tiny but menacing prisoner-of-war camp? All the animals are getting away! Scrotum, pass me my pistol and I'll see if i can bring the blighters down....

  • Could i make a trance version of this .

  • @joebstarsurfer Sure, that sounds well cool mate.. :)

  • lovely lovely

  • You tell em Tone.

  • @ianalex2 I like it.. Thanks!

  • rofl :)

  • Bonkers. Love it, remember them from Do Not Adjust Your Set on British TV years ago, this one, Mr. Slaters Parrot and My Pink Half of the Drainpipe are particular favourites. Thanks.

  • I;ve just gone bonkers and feeling much better for it.

  • Jollity Farm & Misery Farm originally available on 78

  • Brilliant, let's have another go at this dissertation then, it doesn't seem so bad now :)

  • Haha, love this song! xD Video guy seems to be so over-happy that it's an act though.

  • It is physically impossible to listen to this song and be miserable.

  • WILL YOU BASTARDS CHEER UP

  • Thank you ! I LOVE YOU !

  • Superb...thanks for uploading...

  • Taught this to the kids at school - they loved it!!!

  • Family Guy actually borrowed the name from this song...although there's no real connection to the song whatsoever (albeit a man in a suit wearing a pig suit's head)...

  • I miss the Bonzos. Viv died in a horrible house fire. Him and kieth Moon were crazy together! neil Innes still tours with a small band playing his and Bonzo tunes. There is a 40th Anniversary dvd of the reuniting with all the old group and special guest Stephen Frye and others playing all the old tunes. It is excellent and worth looking for if your a fan. Much of the old hijinks on stage will bring back memories if your a fan. Stuff it up your jumper bododio!

  • @terryb3780 I watched that DVD last night. The odd thing is, I got it from a pound shop

  • cool photos bro

  • And if we only stopped murdering animals this could be as sweet as the song!!

  • @leushy Leslie Sarony, the man who wrote this song back in 1930, also wrote "Don't be Cruel to a Vegetabuel". So he was also concerned about plant rights. Of course, he might have been kidding around. ;)

  • LOVE the bonzo dog doo-dah band, my mum and dad had the album "gorilla" - there were some classics on there, fab memories! thanks!

  • Who were the two 'normals' who did not like this video?

  • And shake their feet, Krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

  • Always loved this but the pictures are moving too fast

  • I LOVE IT ;)

  • I gave this song and" Mickeys Son and Daughter" to a Lass I was dating who was a First Grade Teacher.

    The Kids Went Crazy

They thought it was the best thing since Peanut Butter

Leave it to the Bonzos to capture the hearts of the Youth!!!

  • Trolololololol cute

  • Jolly good , ole sports !

  • so much pictures.. so greath band thanks for upload. granshao granshao hehe

  • is there a way this can be removed? I cannot stop watching it, neither can the kids/grandkids......

  • I love this:)

  • love the bonzos I named my dog after them

  • Aw... you DAWGS ! ( :

  • Crying out to be used as ironic background music to a documentary about the horrors of factory farming, more like

  • the dogs bow wow "wruff wruff wruff wruff" ~ how very satirical!

  • Nice one mate. Cheers for making me feel old LOL

  • @AlchemicalDavid It had that effect on me when I was making it..lol :-)

  • Brilliant !! try this these days, and it would,nt work...., a great era, thank God I was there !!!!

  • @schuller51 You're dead right - I wouldn't want to be 16 again now - not in these times. I find this to be a form of escapism, which is very welcome. Thanks for your comment.

  • always lots of fun

    haha

  • Go Dog Go!!! Someone else who remembers that book!!

  • @NavinJohnson90 Indeed! Thanks for the comment :-)

  • @NavinJohnson90 yeah, that was one of my big childhood favorites too...just recently bought a copy for our baby :)

  • This song is just crying out to be used as the introduction to a children's show.

  • @Setebos What a fantastic idea, and my apologies for being a tad behind in responding to some of these great comments.. :-)

  • @Derwentcub --- not at all! A gracious answer is always worth waiting for, and thank you. I only wish I owned a television station because I've toyed with some ideas for a "Jollity Farm" show.

  • @Setebos Children's show? I want it at my funeral! :)

  • I love this 30's sound the Bonzos recreated. If you like this, try you tubing the gorgeous 'Anyone for Tennis' by Stackridge. Great lyrics and Jim 'Warren's beautiful voice. First formed in 1969, they're still going strong and he can still reach those incredible high notes! Stackridge at their most whimsical would definitely appeal to Bonzo fans. Latest album 'A Victory for Common Sense' is a joy. Check out Stackridge, you won't be sorry you did. I love them!!!

  • @madjulie100 Thanks for the info on Stackridge. I saw them many years ago at the King's Hall in Derby, England, and was very impressed back then. Would like to hear some of their newer stuff.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAXD

  • @AttentionAliens Seconded! LOL :-)

  • I love Bonzo and Jollity Farm:)

  • soooooooooo cute video !bravo !!!!

  • cheers

  • Brilliant as always.First heard this at a ' Stereo ' demonstration at Bletchley Park Mansion in the library whilst on a PO engineering training course in 1967.The Gorilla LP was and still is one of my all time favourites, an bloody masterpiece !.

  • I knew there was some use for the cutesy animal pics posted on the net ! Bravo

  • I was named after this song; my names Jollity :)

  • @ShopLikeTherezNo2Moz Great stuff! Thanks for posting!

    Cub

  • Thank God you posted this...a lifesaver!

  • @steinber Any time my friend - sorry for delay in reply..

    Cub

  • lovely. they were a great band, terrific musicians and writers. this is just charming. thanks.

  • I saw the Bonzos at the "Albert Hall" in London in 1969 I believe. On the same bill was Peter Sarstedt, Joe Cocker, and Tiny Tim, plus a few others I cant remember their names, what a night. Tiny Tim actually had a good singing voice when he wanted, but he was ugly, I hate to say that really , but he was. It was still quite inexpensive right up until the eighties to go and see live groups and artists, not like today's costs..

  • @inisk Sounds like a great night. You're right about prices, too. I used to go to concerts at the King's Hall in Derby, and I could have a full night out for under £10.

    All the best..

    Cub.

  • cheered me up, no end!

  • @lorsujan Excellent - glad to hear that - we need something to laugh about these days.

    All the best,

    Cub

  • very very lovely !!!!***** and fun !!!!

  • have always loved the bonzo dogs

  • @tig1960 Dead right tig - they are original and witty. Your comment is much appreciated!

  • There once was music combined with comedy and intellect..I swear it's true! Hear The Bonzos for proof.

  • @homemoviescolorado Wow! Excellent comment. Thank you homemoviescolorado. Have a great weekend!

  • @homemoviescolorado Quality comedy music is hard to pull off, I'd say we do have Flight of the Conchords and Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer these days, although perhaps not as avant garde as the Bonzo's, Mr B is certainly as eccentric.

  • @homemoviescolorado Wow - spot-on comment - well said! Thank you!

  • @homemoviescolorado I second this. +1000 <3

  • @homemoviescolorado

  • I likes this! I remember seeing them at City University. That's when the band came on a sang for half an hour - twice - then went home. Money for old roap!
