People who don't know Jason believe that he is an arrogant jerk when that's only the character he uses in performances. Don't judge someone before you get to know them, especially someone you only see in performance.

As I have said before, many performers develop some kind of character for use on stage, whether it's juggling or stand-up comedy or something else. Jason's character enhances his performances, providing comedy to his routines, and is mostly aimed at audiences made up of jugglers. Many nonjugglers will not get his jokes or will fail to realize that he is just acting when they see him perform.
