They don't know the truth. Some of them think they know, but it is based on falsity. Singing is not about the voice and its sound - it is about how you use it. One of the unexpected consequences of this show is that it demonstrates so clearly how much better the 'opera' vocal technique is than the 'pop' technique ( just take Darius for example). Unfortunately this collaboration shows that Mika's voice isn't as good as I thought it was. But he is kinda cute all the same.
