some retarded posts here, its a red tailed black, just as common as galahs and no more 'rare' than a sulphur crested, the 'seed' which people are saying is bad for the bird is perfectly fine, even sunflower seeds are great as treats, but anything in excess is bad, even fruit and veg, jesus these birds will even eat lil bits of cold meat. its not african, im not even sure if a cockatoo variety of parrot lives on that continent. im sure the birds happy as a pig in shit
Please tell me you don't own this bird. Cause if you do you should have a restricted license for her, as she is a native and very rare Australian Red Tailed Black Cockatoo! Africa??
stafishy is mostly right but the bird are not mostly from the northern australia and also give the bird fruit it is betta for them and the seeds can some time be bad, some red tail black cockatoo died at early ages from seed
This is definatley a Red tailed black cockatoo - Samuli or Banksi (samuli is the smaller variety). These bird are mainly from the middle and northern Australia. I have a samuli. they are beautiful cockatoos but are not good talkers. They are very effectionate and very rarely bite unlike most other varieties of cockatoos.
I agree, human saliva possesses foreign microbes that could kill a bird very quickly in large enough amounts. Please reconsider feeding your bird from your mouth. And daplzr, be nice. People will be more accepting of what you tell them when you're not angrily attacking them.
Hi, I think this is the Great-billed Red-tailed Black ######## (Calyptorhynchus banksii macrorhynchus). They come from the nothern, noth-eastern, north-western regions of the Northern Territory and WA.
Gee no2phantomst, I wish you would do something more productive with your life rather than sitting 24/7 on your rear-end and posting bad comments and unoriginal insults on people's videos
Very pretty bird, but not an african grey. My Jabba is a Congo African Grey and a real chatter box! I like your video though. The bird looks super sweet!
Since I was unsure of the bird variety, I did a quick Google search and came up the African Grey. If anyone knows what variety he actually is, please let me know so I may change it. Thanks!
do you still have this bird? how are they as pets

Human saliva can be really toxic for birds. Why have it take it out of her mouth? Just hand the bird the treats!

I think, but may be wrong, that it is one of the cockatoo breeds.
