Latino is a much boader term which may be applied to any group who speaks a romance language. Hispanic defines itself specifically as a culture & language originating from Spain, much as the term Anglo-American defines a culture & language rising out of England. Incidentally, neither group by its definition can be correctly labled racial as they both include a rainbow of hues. Let's all define ourselves as American and leave the disecting of words to khabbalistic mystics.

hispanic means someone of spanish descent and values. it does not matter what race you are from but just the fact that we follow our spanish tradition. we Hispanics were the first europeans to own america gave it to our sons and daughters in what is now latin america. we are a multi-racial ethnic group.
