The 700 is quite a bit easier than you would think to sail...if you have time doing solo while trapezing on other boats then these single handed skiffs are not hard to use...I learned the skills on a Laser Vago which is a bit of a tub, heavy too.
Getting out on the wire with my 700 was like a religous experience, such a light boat with a lot of power...which is easily tweakable...only got to crouch on the rack to adjust the kicker etc.
Would have gone musto but the 700 was cheaper for me:)
hi , the boat is faster than 29er, but with gennaker up a 29er is not in sight of a musto. the musto skiff is much faster then. stable if kept fast and flat, otherwise you swim! big waves would be for sure a problem, chop you can manage with it! cheers
Really? You must be faster then our local 29ers. We usually can go faster both up and down wind. Actually, upwind is more challenging because when you are solo if you don't have a solid wire to wire you lose more boat speed in maneuvers.
@enricofonda great video :) how much wind was there?

nice class !! we dont have those in argentina, i sail 29er.
Is this faster than a 29er ?? it looks fast and stable, and how does it handle the waves ?
juanmabacardi 3 years ago
