I say kill all the weasels, they are in some places, destroying the bird life, they kill more than they need to. They also kill rabbits, my favorite animal, no the weasels are not good in our fauna.

cute- but weasels are bad- do more damage to wiping out native bird populations then rats-and eat the good snakes that consume the rodents so throws off the ecosystem. Too bad- check out the weasel that takes the snake on here-(large golfer snake). It is a brindled weasel, not too be confused with "pet ferrets"

At 2:48 look how BIG & Juicy that rabbit is!!! I'm getting HUNGRY! British Stoats look more like American Long-tailed Weasels than American Ermine, which are quite small & "mousy" looking... They lack that "Diamond Head" that the Larger weasels possess.

I have ferrets, have for years.There is no dog on earth that can match that ferrets intelligents.

They are playful, but no fear animals.Once my ferrets cornered a German Shepard all day long in a corner.Took turns keeping him there.

So if weasels are from the same family then they are smart!

I didnt know there were weasels in california. A friends chicken was decapitated one day. She couldn't figure out what did it. The next morning her cat brought home what she thought was a ferret. After some research she realized it was a weasel. She is very proud of her cat, Milo for defending his home. Weasels are said to be lightning fast and down scare from even larger animals. They have bacteria in their mouths so if a human is bitten by one and doesnt receive a vaccine it could be lethal.

I like dogs too, but I also like weasels. Weasels are in fact very intelligent. Minks and otters (both belong to the weasel family) are at the same level as primates. Sea otters even use tools.

Meerkats are actually in the civet family Viverridae--sometimes they are placed in Herpestidae with the other mongooses. They are related to weasels only in the sense that cats are related to dogs--the same order Carnivora, but different families. Meerkats are closer to cats, weasels are closer to dogs.

hmm I actually recommend killing any mink/ferret you see if you are in England. They are decimating indigenous rodent species like the voles.

ounce for ounce weasles are terribly strong.a 6 ounce weasel can kill several 5 pound chickens in a single night.all mustelids help control the rodent population.they deserve our respect and protection.

The roads arent a problem a few do get killed but weasels are fast and as a whole avoid roads but trapping them and using poison which is what farmers and home owners often do in my area has wiped them out. Now the rats,mice are a problem and the traps,poison dont kill them like they killed the poor weasels
