anybody can critique anything, it just matters whether the critique is right or not. For example, saying a food is horrible when 90% of the people like it. It is very often that simon gets booed by fans by saying the performer is "horrible", and more times than not that someone else rather than the guy simon bashed gets voted out in shows like Idol and Talent. Replacing him with just another frank ordinary person may not even affect the quality of the winners produced.
