  • @PsychDoctorate 2) so hard that my skills really become better. But this is only possible if I already see myself as being that good player. Cuz one can become nothing, if one thinks "well, I guess my bad performance means I AM a bad Player with poor skillz therefore I can not change it"

  • @PsychDoctorate I agree that looking down on others and having no empathy is a narcissistic feature.

But I fail to see why thinking one is better than one's actual achievements is counted to that as well. I think it's necessary not to define oneself based upon one's current achievements in order to achieve future goals. If Im, for instance a Basketballer with poor skills, then I could think "this is not the "real" me, Im better than that, I can do better than that" and force myself to practice

  • "Bigger than life". That's a pretty dopey description. I would say distorted self perseption and of their achievements. You can check that by discussing past scenarious with the suspected narcissist how much he/she distorted to make him/her self feel grandiose. It's an obsession with the ecstasy and sometimes starts as a desperation.

  • Indulging one self over beauty i not a disorder. I think it's a nice wayfor those people in a reasonable manner take joy in life on the basis of their attractiveness. It's a healthy narcissist-food. More so than usually religion and food is. So much obesity and misery. Music, art and humor is other good joy foods. It's when they start downing others to heighten them selves it's a disorder. It's okey to feel grandiose on good grounds. Not pointing at a dwarf and grin. That's malicious.

  • We all don't have slight narcissistic traits, stop making such sweeping statements and claims. The first mistake alot of people make in trying to make sense of the world is the belief that everyone is similar are psychologicaly equivical... The is totally untrue... Some people are not giving the spirit of the qua. human being...

  • That is a hockey player holding the Stanley Cup

  • Is someone you know has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, run as far away as you can. These people are monsters or animals. They are all better off dead. They will wreak havoc wherever they go. It's like an unstoppable train of evil that destroy any destruction they go. Those who have never met one have no idea how bad they are. Or those of you who think, "they aren't THAT bad", probably have never truly have met one.

  • @jpzxcvbnm I can see you know one of these people , trash belongs in a dumpster why litter?

  • @jpzxcvbnm This guy is not kidding - these so-called people do exist. The world revolves around their narcissistic needs, in their head, or they structure it to do just that, by relating everything they do back to it. If you're in a connection with them, you get abused constantly, because they have no regard for anything but the narcissistic hit they always seek, wherever they go.

  • What is a 100% sane person?

  • Yes we all have slight narcissistic traits, yet NPD is an extreme disorder. I was in a relationship with one for 4 years but did not realize it until things started to make since. My grandmother died, she didn't care, she lied to get what she wanted, she was arrogant and haughty, she needed constant approval and she was never happy after I gave her the world...all after 4 years. Yet when drunk told me she hated herself. No one should encounter these people, they are manipulative and dangerous.

  • The only criterion that bothers me is #3. I AM special and unique. But... so are you. And so is everyone.

  • If you want to read the rants of the biggest narcissist in the history of mankind then go to @dimitrithelover on twitter. The size of this seduction guru's ego is beyond words. Trust me. You'll be totally blown away.

  • to be completely honest, it sounds like a disorder the medical corperation created to make money off of idiots that believe this crap. Doctors prescribe because thet don't know any diiferent than their indocterine teachings...Kewl I wonder if I can create a disorder to plauge 1/2 the population and feed everyone all meds

  • Dear Psych PhD,

I'm fascinated by disorders because I have a lot of crazy friends lol. I myself have been diagnosed with ADD as a child. What is the REAL difference between Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Anti-Social Personality Disorder??

  • My husband displays the lack of empathy, claiming that he is incapable of "being in someone elses' shoes." He also plays a blame game all the time, blaming everyone else, never owning any of his part in anything that is bad or negative. When we get into fights, he doesn't care at all how upset I am. He has never sincerely appologized to anyone. He sees us below him even though we have done nothing to be there. Am I living with a narcissist?

  • @LilMissOpinionated1, yes. Please check out the blog "Narcissists Suck". It's excellent. I think you'll find it mind-blowing.

  • @LilMissOpinionated1 Yes and it sounds like he married you out of convenience. Divorce his ass as fast as you can & I hope you don't have children with him becaus he will screw them up & use them to manipulate you too.

  • Sounds like your quietly playing the bongos during some parts. Other than that, i enjoyed.

  • Off topic: Your voice is perfect for cartoons -- especially if they were to ever turn Hannibal into one! :)

    ♥♥♥ Marashor ♥♥♥♥

  • Isn't that hockey?

  • My psychology teacher has a narcist friend. His friend's girl friend was leaving him and he went to the roof of his house and threatened to kill himself if she'll leave him. She left him and tomorrow his friend was hanging around with another woman. :-0

  • You've got some problems with your sound devices, man.

  • @thejolene100 so I never really thought that there were even people so narcissistic that they would abuse people so badly that there would be youtube videos about it were many victims would talk about all of that.the only one who really suffered from my narcissistic behaviours was myelf. It does not feel very good if you can not really feel the other people and feel like life is but an emptiness in you. But meditation really helped me :) that's all I wanted to say

  • @thejolene100 I feel sorry I didn't mean to bully anyone or be to aggressive about my point of view. Also I thought it was more about suffering from your own arcissism and freeing yourself from the misbeliefs that not only cause suffering in others but also in yourself. I completely missed the point. What I was talking about was a way of helping yourself get out of these idiotic behaviour structures and not how to help the victims. Not that I dont care. I just never did this to anybody

  • @thejolene100 narcissism has nothing to do with having your life controlled by another person. It may be a product of it but it's not the core problem. This guy showed the core problems in his video in a clear way. Ad I also do have a lot of strong narcissistic thought patterns that anchored deep in my psychology which I find very hard to live with. But fighting was never a solutio. Especially not if you are fighting yourself. But surrendering in meditation helps me a LOT! So whats your point?

  • I disagree with the way you're presenting NPD. Maybe I'm judging wrongly but you seem to be speaking very indignantly. Did u have a bad exp w/ a narcissis?

The problem I see is that you're too focused on egocentricity and gradiosity. Isnt the biggest factor of NPD a lack of empathy and pathological lying? That's when healthly narcissism becomes a disorder or "malignant" narcissim.

  • thats like half the population.... corporate sells us this garbage

  • hes that crazy mars vs venus guy - John gray lol

  • why do you judge all of these people? how can you?

  • @TheTrancereligious5 As human beings we are always observing behavior. I have not said that these people possess the disorder, but that they have traits of the disorder. Open you eyes and see what is around you, it will suprise you. There is so much out there which is right in front of your face. The good, the bad and the ugly. We all have Narcissistic traits, but very few people, relatively speaking, have the true disorder.

We all need to learn to judge behavior very clearly.

  • @PsychDoctorate Don't Judge, just see it. Judging is identifying. It does not matter whethere it is good or bad or ugly as long as you hold it inside. Just let it go

  • @TheTrancereligious5 And there is an problem with identifying behavior which is antisocial, narcissistic that creates problems both for those suffering from it and those who experience it. Also your reasoning is filled with judgement itself. Your comment makes no rational sense.

  • @PsychDoctorate When you look into your psyche deeply enough you start to recognize these patterns and by doing this over the time you start to let it go. I experienced this myself on me. I see that you are very identified with this problem and it's okay you jsut want to help yourself or/and others. There is nothing wrong about that but maybe you should not be so narcissistic with your own truth and listen to what others have to say aswell? Just an diea, not trying to judge you ;)

  • Okay so once again I am going to say something on this topic. If you think too much about it it gets more and more important. Get it into your head. It is like that with the music marketing. Make people hate Justin Bieber so that his name is in everyone's mouth. That makes him big. Same with the thoughts on your mind. You shouldn't help people you shoudl help yourself.

  • @PsychDoctorate I think that what TheTrancereligious5 was trying to say was that the video seems a little on the hurtful side towards narcissists. The video talks a lot about how they are constantly acting like very self centered, but does not talk much about why that is, and how they may not trying to be. It almost seems to be attacking these kinds of people, rather than understanding them. Perhaps that is what you may not be trying to do here, but I see where Trance was coming from.

  • @PsychDoctorate what about a person who keeps judging people for comedy?

  • @TheTrancereligious5 im a counsellor not a psychologist and I get frustrated at sme psychologists for labelling and judging....your right just see it

  • @PsychDoctorate and you are completely right. Thank you for this video

  • @PsychDoctorate

ive been studying on the theme personality disorders, particularly narcissistic for more then 4 years now and i think i have helped quite a few people with informing them about this now.

I still wonder sometimes, can NPD traits turn more and more into psychopathic with these people getting older? Since time is the biggest enemy of these people, it virtually takes them away everything step by step with years. The majority is now aware of the defective nature they posses.....

  • @TheTrancereligious5 he is a Narcissist

  • @TheTrancereligious5 I judge because i was involved with one and almost broke my families heart.

  • how does believing you are special and unique make you narcissistic? that's ridiculous

  • @quantanamobay Yeah it is! Stevie Yzerman, former Detroit Red Wing lol

  • Want to watch a youtube user...watch NPD in action? channel and user name 'Variablast'....who else calls thenselves mr nigger? and has a face tattoo? who goes black face with a tophat to job interviews?...lol

  • De Niro's character in The King Of Comedy is a good example of this disorder.

  • @Edgey1988 Rupert Pupkin

  • The biggest difference between a narcissism and npd is the degree of which they will go to... A narcissist will eventually destroy whatever they build. They are driven at their core for ppl to admire themat any cost.. Oh and the grandious behavior can be almost humerus in scope.. Being selfish or attention seeking is not what it is about..they are crazy manipulative... My dad is one and I can tel you he is nuts...

  • I dont agree that many people have this problem. People who lack knowledge and experience in this field usually tempt towards the wrong assumptions about narcissism. The most usual mistake is thinking that a person with narcissistic traits automatically has NPD, which usually isnt the case at all. It takes somebody with advanced knowledge to recognise a NPD patient

  • A good fictional narcissist is Stephen Colbert's character on the Colbert Report.

  • Let's just call it vonhelton's disorder, it's easier to say.

  • Just off the top of my head, I can think of atleast three people very close to me who suffer severely from NPD

  • I'm convinced that the majority of Narcissist have a developed psychological disorder, most narcissists have childhoods which seem to develop of the disorder. I think the reason children of narcissists often become narcissists themselves is because of what having a narcissistic parent does to a child's ego, and because the child adopts the mechanisms of the parent. A genetic predisposition to lack empathy could definitely facilitate the disorder though.

  • Quebec premier Jacque Parizeau

  • jerry Seinfeld is a narcissist!!! watch his interviews and u will see!!

  • is that a soccer player or ice hockey player? Sketchy video.

  • He is definately not a soccer player! That is the Stanley Cup!!!

That narrator must have been given the wrong picture cause who doesn't recognize the Stanley Cup? I haven't even seen the National Soccor Icon, whatever it may be known as ( I'm not sure, I apologize to soccer fans.)

  • @Marcuslusus02 Why nitpick the specific sport when the image of the giant trophy is meant to illustrate a point the narrator is making regarding narcissism. Have you considered that you may have an issue with perfectionism? Just kidding, but hey, who knows...; )

  • the messianic complex is a different deeper disorder which involved specific mind control and programming..

  • i've met so many with this issue .. its the most annoying personality disorder there is, there is no getting through to them whatsoever its all about them.... ALL the time..!!

  • Also number two could be drive, motivation, ambition and striving to achieve your personal best or goal oriented person as opposed to 'preoccupation' 'fantasy' or 'unlimited'...blah blah...It isn't what other individuals perceive him to be . If number 2 is achieved on a realistic level number 8 naturally follows, its inevitable. Its not what he/she believes it just is in actuality.

  • @Noahthebeast09 no way jose. please study the Bible better. thanks. have a great day.

  • Comment removed

  • @Noahthebeast09 the biblical knowledge of the average American never ceases to astonish me. here is a perfect case in point.

if anything Jesus was the "anti-narcissist".....i can't think of a single episode in his life in which he expressed a NPD characteristic.

you know, you can buy a bible at the bookstore for 8 or 10 bucks.

  • Numbers 2, 3 and 5 can fall under the category of positive thinking, attitude or positive outlook on life and world view or positive self talk, self respecting with high self esteem. Whereas people who think exactly the opposite are a sense of low self worth or negative outlook on life and negative attitude in general - you can debate. Even if number 8 is true doesn't mean the person is narcissistic (if only number 8)

  • The sound glitches were really distracting

  • Barack Obama says that contrary to popular belief he was not born in a manger.

  • So can Narcissistic Personality Disorder treated?

  • Comment removed

  • Cluster B's stick together... NPDs and ASPDs work if the ASPD can get something to gain from playing the part, like money, they both dig borderlines because they rely on them to be themselves and make good slaves/partners in crime and the BPD's rely on and manipulate to put the burden on others to make them. HPD's just need to see themselves on tape enough to get it... plus sometimes there are people diagnosed at 18 and grow up in a few years and aren't legit. all of these pd's are alike...

  • @HerrSpieldose BPD has a chance at being tamed because they rely on the treatment team to define them and although they still stay selfish at heart, they are taught healthy ways to keep that other to define them so it works sometimes...

but in many ways they are all the same.

  • Is there such a thing as Histrionic/Narcissistic Personality Disorder? My friend seemed to exhibit strange behavior that was a cross between both at her father-in-law's memorial service recently, and I was shocked beyond reason.

  • @javajunkie101 Many people with cluster B personality Disorders often have quite a few comorbid traits with other cluster B PDs. I have known someone whom I think has HPD and also shows narcissisitic traits. They were on an emotional roller coaster ride and quite self absorbed. They became infuriated when they were not the center of attention and played emotional blackmail to get the attention placed back on them. Very tiring!

  • @javajunkie101 what did she do?

  • @ShawnoftheDay I would prefer to keep that private.

  • @javajunkie101 histrionic will engage in sexual behavior or inappropriate behavior at all costs to get attention. narcissistic people are more deceiptful about it. histrionics will be sexually provacative like stripping nude, using sexually provacative language to get attention. narcissistic people live in a fantasy of being the center of attention and will actually find a histrionic apalling.

  • @pandabead Very interesting.

  • Im not a narcissist, Im just better looking and superior to anybody else. Simples.

  • No, this is so true!!! all these crazy comments, OBVIOUSLY DONT know what the real meaning of NPD is about.. until u date one or live with one, you will NEVER understand.... My ex bf had npd to the extreme, he was so cold hearted had no feelings, was so self absorbed... i can go on an on, the mind of a narcissus is so complicated and deep, these types of people are emotional abusers. besides self confidence... these people are pure evil!!

  • I think I know someone who has this....he thinks he can help people. The littlist things seem to offend, and insalt him. He looses his paitance quick! He's not a bad person, just like a big spoiled baby!

  • @watchensee no these types of people are bad.. its deeper then just that... they will never change, because they feel they do no wrong, their right all the time..

  • @LightAsAFeather22 Well he sees himself as being right all the time. I guess he's just a self centered jerk! Who thinks he's god's gift to the world. Oh, and he loves to talk about himself, he doesn't really want to hear what you have to say!

  • Good job doctor! I believe most people are not able to realize that you purposely demonstrate the characteristics of NPD as a way of reinforcing and providing an example of what NPD is? Bravo! But one question...did you do that vocal intonation change at 2:39 on purpose or is it some Neuro Linguistic Programming tactic?Keep up the good work!

  • Comment removed

  • can a very critical parent along with neglect cause NPD?

  • couldn't psychologists be narcissists?

    master brains vs inferior brains??

    it is all perspective.

  • This describes Obama

  • @chriscopywriter Pretty interesting statement. Can you back up your assumptions with some fact. Otherwise all you are doing it simply attacking my character and it shows in your writing style.

  • A lot of people have this problem. It's not rare.

  • On 5:00, the sport is not soccer, but ice hockey. And he is holding the Stanley Cup. And the team are the Red Wings. Just to let you know.

  • Don't let TheDogRibs discourage you. You have done an excellent job on this video series. Be encouraged! I plan on doing a simple video about NPD in church leadership. It'll be informal.

  • Hey PsychDoctorate have you ever seen the show "Chasing Mummies" on the History Channel? I believe that guy Dr. Zahi Hawass to be a supreme Narcissist.

I find Egypt pretty interesting but having to watch that guy too makes the show unbearable to watch. Let me know what you think.

  • Having no friends is a Signal maybe we need a different Approach

  • Your metaphors and examples are all over the place and make obvious assumptions of little use to the topic. Hopefully, your are not narcissistic and will only take the criticism as a way to improve the video and not a personal chink in your armor.

  • @TheDogRibs No offense taken, it was one of my first attempts at a video of this nature. I am working hard on refining my techniques so that other videos use more clear and concise metaphors and examples that are much more clearly explained and make sense to everyone. Its not an easy process and takes time. I am working harder on making my future videos a lot better. I am trying to develop good "images" about what constitutes the aspects of mental health disorders and other psych concepts

  • ....and since people are aware now, theyre narcissistic tricks dont work anymore, people are on guard now, they are left with 0 friends since they have abused every "friend" they have had in the past. So they end up alone or with people with a very low self-esteem.

So my question would be, do you think a narcissist would go as far as totally losing it, maybe murdering someone or commiting suicide? since theyre outside image is getting killed anyway, would they even bother hurting it even more?

  • great video, my mother, father, and most of my friends are narcissists. i think i am one too, best part of the video was the shot of the model. was that cindy?

  • George W. Bush fits this description pretty well.

  • @scottdavene Most individuals who are alcoholic or recovering alcoholics show a high degree of Narcissistic traits if not the full blown disorder.

  • @scottdavene so does Obummer!

  • Oh my goodness.....I wish I would have found this video years ago..I have been involved in a very sick relationship with a man that has this...no doubt....I had never heard of this until today. I was searching co-dependent behavior and this came up....I am so thankful.

  • I really think i am living with a narcissist..he blames everything on me....everything wrong....and has a temper to booth.

  • i have a slight case of NPD

  • The psychological breakdown of your examples for NPD made me laugh so hard I almost peed!!!! That was great!!!!

  • So this sounds very much like a sociopath/psychopath/anti-social personality disorder. Is there a difference ?

  • lmao @ soccer player... thats a hockey player man

  • At 2:36 for a few seconds something really, really creepy occurs...

  • Great video with great info!

FYI.. Your picture of the "soccer player" is on skates... :)

  • Message to the narrator of this movie;Does focusing on narcissism this much make you a narcissist? ; . ) Just sayin.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy Sorry but thats not a valid line of reasoning.

  • Liars...

  • This whole country (the USA) suffers from NPD if ya ask me......

  • To me, it all boils down to what you operate out of....what is your internal reference point. Is it Ego, is it spirituality, is it ???....sooner the egoist or narcissist discovers being pissed, offended, and dissappointed all the time and changes that reference point the better! Trust me, it works! My worst narcissistic trait is exibited in TRAFFIC! OMG....I am still working on my reference point when I get in the car :)~

  • Stark in Ironman dos not seem to be a narc. There were no examples of envy triggering a narcissistic rage episode, no covert control like vicious backbiting, character assassination etc. Stark actually does lotsa of stuff, he actually works hard and delivers an end product...consistently. He also seems to be able to empathize with people in difficulty quite easily, not needing to have them 'owe' him anything. He may be insufferably good at lots of things, and be a playboy, but that is not NPD.

  • narcicists are awesome

  • @PsychDoctorate

"Additionally, his works are not very sound."

With that remark alone, you make yourself appear as a feeble critic.

Additionally, your videos on NPD are vague, useless, and awkward.

  • I think im Narcissistic... this guy is pissing me off for some reason.

  • Good and comprehensive video:)

I think movie 'American Psycho' gives a good description of narcissistic person who is also psychotic...

  • @Quex01 Thank you. I remember American Psycho. Although both ASPD (antisocial) and NPD (narcissism) are distinctive disorders, those with ASPD also have a lot of NPD traits. Superficial charm, interpersonally exploitive, lacking (non-existent) empathy and grandiosity to name a few.

  • my sense from the video is that you're vilifying people with NPD. i imagine that's not your point, but it seems that way to me. that's problematic for me since your treatment of it is very disorder focused and if it's a disorder, people with it can't really be blamed for it. mental disorders can't be willed away or totally controlled consciously, and since treatment for NPD is long, difficult and not terribly successful, talking about 'them' like that doesn't seem to help anyone, 'them' least

  • 5:02 Now i know that you can play a soccer on the ice if you are a narcissist:)

  • my girlfriend has this, she's totally in denial.

  • if you love your self not as a face but as a human been you will find easy to love another humans becouse you realize that we all are the same, we are not diferent, all we have to survive, and fight against dead. The problem is that people doenst believe in dead becouse religions tell us that we have many lifes to enjoy. That is not true, if you believe in dead you will have a honest life, dont lie your selfs people.

  • Most people think they are special and unique in some ways, it gives life purpose and is not unhealthy. If you can accept others at face value, if you value their right to hold opinions which differ from your own, if you accept you are good at some things but not others and are capable of introspection and learning from mistakes (as opposed to blaming others), then you are not a pathological narcissist!

A true narcissist has the mentality and emotional adjustment of a child!!

  • @halifaxtanning nice way to think

  • Question

I am ABSOLUTELY positive that I am "special & unique"

however, I DO realise that it's NOT entirely in a good way,

actually it's most often in a way that disturbs me..I have a LOT of "empathy", I have no "competitive" nature (i enjoy sports, but don't care who wins or loses as long as it's a good game)

  • I have a tendency to only think I can relate to other "special/unique" people (other weirdos) but again, I realise this

I shun attention, even if it's positive I get suspicious and paranoid. I have very little interest in my "image" to others

can be VERY "manipulative", but make great effort to only employ this when I deem it "fair" (based on my own set of self-important rules of morality)

can be VERY aggressive, but I ALWAYS feel very ashamed of myself

am I narcissistic, antisocial, or ..?

  • @homerbear46 my friend there are two kind of narcissist in this world, we have the one who loves what sees in the mirror, so he needs admiration from others couse thinks is unique but in the outside, the other kind of narcisist is who loves his own self as a human been " i love me becouse i am perfect as a human" and i see that i dont need anything becouse everithing is inside me. I dont need admiration or material stuff becouse i just want to survive, to stay alive.

  • im especial and unique, and all of you people. open your eyes, you cant let this people to tell us that we cant be free, freedom is not a dream it is inside us, we havent use all of our powers becouse tecnollogy make us lazy.

  • 5:11.. thats not soccer.. its hockey. You can tell by the hockey arena around him.

  • ivory shower academic-you might want to get out ,you say,you have heard nothing or reported anything that you have witnessed, ive been to a dozen colleges/universities and im sorry nerd's and abused children and add 1or2 prim a donas -1 legged people teaching place kicking ( before prosthetics)-- the first thing you may want to do is go to a NHL or Pro Soccer Game!-so academically/corporate minded your no earthly good. FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR more than 3rd person accounts grey-see Penn/Teller

  • NPD is just another syptom of todays society. FACT, if we still lved simple lives we would not have these issues.

  • boring

  • @TheMerryButler

    Agreed.

  • so it looks like I have the first few characterstics. I mean I am special and unique, I will do grandiose things even things never before done before. I have knowledge and wisdom unlike any other. However, I'm not envious, and I don't think others are envious of me, I enjoy friendships and don't really care if others recognize my grand superiority or not. I mean, it's just a fact but I don't need to flaunt it or anything. Does that make me narcissisti?

  • Perfect example: Frenchy07 aka 8Anya8 and her multiple accounts.

  • Sounded like the narrator was becoming a bit of a narcissist towards the end of this video LOL !

  • about it that's probably why you're mad about me being manipulative towards people with weak emotions because you yourself are a EMOTIONALLY WEAK PERSON im sorry you cant control your emotions lol i dont need your advice and no i never abused any animals in fact i love animals lol and for your information i am in college and i dont brag about it however i could brag about the fact that i live by myself and pay my own bills but i'd rather not get into that lol

  • @100infared Emotionally weak? You really are a poor read of people and you are just projecting. Bye bye!

  • @100infared You would be beaten by my fists just for talking on here you try to fight back you get severley beaten get ko you get beaten n your head till your dead! im 18 i got this im like this in person! just for some guy looking at me in the store i walked up to him you and told them TO QUIT FUCKING LOOKING AT ME faggot! He looked confused fucking idiot!

  • @100infared How would you know if some stranger on the internet is "emotionally weak" and can you define "emotionally weak" ? Do you define that as a person who is not a narcissist? You are a teenager and likely shouldn't be spouting your opinions. Many teens have less than developed characters and have been shaped by pop culture.

  • @ rumaaar - this advice is coming from a person named "rumaaar" lol yeah want to try that again buddy? i know the difference between "you're and "your" but i what i didnt know APPARENTLY is that youtube was a place where everyone had to use 100% correct grammar lol and how are you going to try and give me advice when CLEARLY you have emotional issues or else you wouldnt claim you are bi-polar since that's what bi-polar suffer from ( a constant change of emotions ) you know now that i think

  • @100infared Agreed, my emotional state can change form on the turn of a dime, if it happened you wouldn't want to be in the same room, epsecially if you had insulted me to my face, "CLEARY" you don't know bi-polars well enough to make an intellectually sound assessment, emotional instability isn't the half of it, where did you graduate from? Harvard Medical was it? your inflated ego exemplifies your inability to admit your faults

  • @100infared your first statement i commented on was simply arrogant, which actually exhibits your concious underlying insecurities and short-comings, i find your attempts to bring down other people truly pathetic, also generally resentful and jealous/envious of those around you, the fact that you project your arrogance on such a brazen level to me clearly indicates a concious inferiority deficiency

  • @100infared , it matters not that you perceive others as beneath you, because if you truly believed your position & stature you wouldn't bother arguing with them, you can E-Thug it all day kid, but the bottom-line: face to face, i'd remove your tongue & put it where your mouth should be >+) you should grab your teddy then go back and hide under mommies dress, trust me its safer there, but not for long because i'd have her calling me daddy real quick LOL

  • If anyone believes the nonsense in this video, than you are easily manipulated. Media has created all of this bull shit. Do not ever let anyone tell you that you are not entitled to absolute happiness.

  • which is why im going to school right now and im ONLY 19 i graduated at 17 lol it seems as though your really interested in this subject, i think in a way, you admire narcissists, and thats the reason for the studying of them so much..please use me as your example of what a "crazy narcissists who cant be cured is" lol thank you =)

  • @ 100infared, first off you do know its infrared right? secondly you you brag about graduating at 17 as if to glorify how intelligent you think you are & yet, (you can't recognize the difference between the proper usage of you're & your?) i bet you were cruel to small animals as a child, & @ PsychDoctorate i think you need to have your eyes examined because you cleary can't differentiate between normal and grandiose statements when you see them, i'm type 1bi-polar i recognize my own kind

  • welcome to America ladies and gentlemen home of the capitalistic mindset that produces megalomaniac's..that capitalistic overachiever mindset is what made america the superpower we are today and to any one else that comments this page who thinks their "narcissistic" before you say anything do your research on what your talking about, oh and for the record mr "psych doc" what you've done as far as your "educational" career is study a book, and went to school whenever you had to, not that hard

  • rather be running my own business as the c.e.o. while you "worker bee's" cry at night because you cant afford to feed your own family due to your "narcissistic" overachiever" boss who fired you lol the truth is YOUR OWN KIDS look up to people in positions of power while they look down on you..if i could give any of you some advice it would be to LEARN your sh*t because their are people out there who are wolves in sheep's clothing waiting for easy prey like you, this world is all about money,

  • their way to the top lol oh and before any of you ask, i am the type of man these videos tell you to avoid, i am a "cerebral" narcissist in training, i say in training because im only 19 years old and i laugh everytime i manipulate an emotionally weak person, all i do is mix psychology, philosophy, psychological warfare, my 48 laws of power book WITH my rich dad poor dad book and you literally have a machine that these stupid youtube videos tell you to run from lol i'll tell you what though i'd

  • probably lack some self esteem because i see nothing wrong with a person being obsessed with success, brillance, beauty and "ideal love" i mean when the hell did that become a bad thing to be obsessed with? lol god forbid we (yes we) be obsessed with something thats positive for our future, we should all be obsessed with things like becoming another "worker bee" caught up in the rat race who crys everytime we dont get a promotion because that "asshole" or "narcissist" at work "manipulated"

  • i personally think all of you are crybaby's. do you honestly think powerful people like donald trump got to where there at now? by being a "niceguy" lol um newsflash people who do you think controls the world? when i say the world i mean top business men who can literally decide weather or not your family has food on the table, studies have shown that most successful people have had narcissistic qualities, you people call them "overachievers" i call them extremely successful, every one of you

  • i believe many people with npd would know this. Who knows more about you than yourself? A Narcissist is introspective and self aware and understand how they think

  • All so interesting.

  • Soccer player? FYI that is a Detroit Redwings HOCKEY player holding the Stanley Cup.

  • Insight seems to depend on the severity of disorder. Accepting an NPD diagnosis (or suspecting that you have the disorder) requires the ability to intellectually and emotionally accept that there is a deep "imperfection"/pathology in the self. This is very difficult for NPDs because their sense of self depends on the fantasy of perfection and superiority.

  • 6:54 belief that one is "special or unique" ? such subjective terms. Anyways, I think L. Ron Hubbard is just a tadbit of a better candidate than Werner Erhard since Erhard managed to piss off Scientologists. Remember John Lennon's fateful "Bigger than Jesus quote" too?

  • From my experience the worst narcissists in the world are people who climb the academic ivory towers and wear a suit and tie or other formal attire and get paid more than $30,000 /year annual income to pretend they know about people they really know absolutely nothing about.

  • Sounds like a complicated way of describing an asshole.

  • OMG that is so funny!...... But true!

  • haha! lol @sk9utube.

personality disorders are kinda controversial. if someone is an asshole because that's their real personality, then can it really be called a disorder/illness?

  • I don't know. Everyone has an asshole.

  • @sk9utube "a self-centred, petty, arrogant asshole" to be exact

  • @sk9utube A complicated and potentially useful way of describing a form of assholism.

  • @sk9utube lmaoooooooooo

  • @sk9utube no ihave npd and o one an guess when they see me or mee me cus im no mean... its not like i can help it ive trie to make it go away bcause sometimes it ruins my relatonships but deal withit
