@SuperMakoto8 There's a species of jellyfish (Normura jellyfish) that releases millions of sperm/eggs into the water when they're attacked. Do this to an entire population of jellyfish and you effectively just replaced every one jellyfish with a thousand. There are thousands of different species of jellyfish and for a lot of them, killing them in the traditional manner is rather counter-productive and pretty difficult.

@DaleKamp just in case you didnt know you cant feel the actual stingers they are microscopic. all you can feel is the effects of the venom. Jellys like the moon jellyfish (commonly used as pets) have stingers but the venom has no effect on humans so you are being stung but you will not likely feel any discomfort unless you are sensitive to there particular venom.

Im from ireland and most of the beaches are full of them at winter, I mean the ones we get wouldn't kill ya but they sting like fuck, I mean look under the water 40 - 50 feet out and all you see is purple jellyfish under the water and the there is more dead jellyfish on the beach then there is sand, Keep in mind tihs is only some beaches and only in winter, don't want to turn people off come here to surf ^^, Doolin in Co. Clare is by far the best spot to surf.
