I get it, someone she cared about was killed by a terrorist, and she's totally traumatized by it and misplacing her anger. That's not to say her attitude is ok, but her hate is coming from a traumatic event in her life.

Pakistan cede ultimate authority to their constitutions and the rule of law, only certain aspects of their law are influenced by Islamic values (being a muslim country and all!) Bangladesh's independence had nothing to do with sharia - they were previously east Pakistan and were being ethinically & linguistically oppressed//discriminated/economically neglected by West Pakistan thus fought for independence.
