He might not have written this one (though he wrote countless others), but I cannot help but wonder: What if Luther and Teena had gotten together to write and record a song? I imagine that would have been one hell of a record that would have blown everyone away.
Both of them now, gone at 54, and some of the songwriters who have taken their place would have been no match for those who wrote in the 1980s or 1990s, let alone the 1970s or earlier. Some of them today just simply cut and paste.
This is my fav version of him singing this live--no one can come close to the way he sang this song---period. We have lost some truly talented and gifted artists. Thank you for sharing.
