I was in the military in Germany when this unit came out, it was nicknamed "The Black Widow." Even at the military discount price, this cost a pretty penny but was worth every cent. There was also a wireless remote control unit, Technics RP-070, that went with both The Black Widow and the Technics cassette deck MS-85 units, the RP-070 which I have today; it was run by size D batteries in the base and the hand held remote took AA.
