Sweet Jesus, whoever that Bass 2 is that's hitting those low E-flats is a beast. I can get down to a double low A-flat on a good day warmed up, but those are rare lol
good for a high school choir as this is a very difficult piece. It is a little slow, and it would be nice to hear some tempo contrast. Also, for the size of this group, there could easily be more space between individual singers for people to spread out and having breathing room.
very good song and good performance although the director did her own version of the song and OMG the bass at dream water blows me away, best bass i've heard for this song yet
this is done very well. some weak spots but thats to be expected with this piece, it is hard! its too bad the men are overpowered by the female voices in some parts. there are parts where th tenors need to be heard and i couldnt hear them. but it was performed great and you all sound great!
good job...but you should be more careful about brightness of the tenors....i'm a tenor in my chior and its easy to understand it if youve found your mature singing voice....open up your throat by lifting your soft pallette but overall good job
It was an okay performance. My high school choir sang this sang as well, so I am aware that some of the chords were not meshing, especially when it got high for tenors and sopranos. Might want to look at vowals as well. But this is a very difficult song.
I don't know who it is, but there is a tenor in there with a great ringing voice. He does not, however, use vibrato. I believe he would make a phenomenal barber shop tenor. He has a bright tone that sticks out.
On a different note completely, wonderful performance. Sopranos went sharp a little, but it's still very musical.
Mm keep in mind that this is a choir and unison is key! but over all your right he does but he needs to keep in mind he need to blend in with the tenors not stick out! Remember One voice!
This is very good for the amount of people you have. I absolutely love Eric Whitacre and this piece in particular. The only thing that got me was the sopranos were sharp in several different spots, and there were a few weird vowels. Also, on the big "if you open your eyes" part, it would have been even more heart-melting if the director really held that out. But I am impressed. Great job
I think there is something to be said about a group of this size performing this song. First off, normally you would have at least 15 to 20 more than that. The amazing thing is this, the sound that they have is that of a choir of 50 or 60, yet they are only 35ish. Bravo! I would give anything to be in a choir that gives out that kind of power and control. I mean that. I was balling by the end of this song. bravo um... there nothing that i can say to describe how amazing that really was. bravo!!
Simply amazing. I'm in choir, but they don't take it very seriously, unfortunately. If they heard this, and knew that they could eventually reach this level of skill, I think they'd be a lot more inspired.
I remember you guys from New York back in '06 with the Festival of Gold. Your choirs were really nice to listen to. Wasn't a surprise that most of the choirs you guys brought placed in the top 8.
ya i was there our madrigal got 6th our acappella and varsity womens tied for 4th and varsity mens was 2 (at first they told us we got 1st then came back and said o im sorry yall got 2nd actually lol)

Why is every note so accented? It completely contradicts the intention of the song.

@lcallstar8x Choir doesn't have much control.
