While the video is probably about the guy not being able to move on from his death (hence the Rock Mafia tombstones), I like to think it's about love at first sight with this girl as she drives by. He instantly imagines his life with her flash before his eyes before she dies, and then when he goes to check, she (along with their happy future together) is gone. That's why Miley's picture fades off of his camera in the closing shot. Great vocals, catchy song, nice video!

well as a lot of people said i also think she died in a car crash, and i guess in the one of the flashback, where they kissed while he was driving. so maybe he feels responsible for her death and doesn't want to realize it, so he imagines her coming back, but in the next moment he sees a car crash again (like a deja-vu maybe?) . and also the lyrics show how the situation was: "the big big bang" (the car crash) "the reason i'm alive" (but SHE died) "with all the stars COLLIDE" :D and so on.
