as far as i can tell its regular tuning and just picking around an A chord

to

to

2-0-0-2-2-0 for most of it

goes down to 0-0-0-2-2-0 and 2-0-0-2-2-0 for the 'you came,you saw..' bit

just muck around with the picking around those chords - sounds good for me!

If ya tune to open G (DGDGBd) and capo 3rd its real easy to play. just walk the bassline on 2nd fret d and g strings. thats for the album version, the live version just capo 2nd fret.

I can't really remember which interview, there are only a few vernon interviews on youtube I know, so if you keep searching around you'll find it. He doesn't specifically say this stuff, he just says something about being embarassed about his "older stuff" so I'm only presuming he means his releases under 'justin vernon' - maybe he's referring to DeYarmond though, who knows
