I use Windows7 (32 bit and 64 bit versions) and I am running Serato I.T.CH. ver 1.7 However, ITCH is supported in Vista too.

@lakenear12 You can choose a diffrent one of your choice. PC or Mac just check the specs to make sure it will work with it.

The software supports AIFF, WAV, MP3, and AAC audio files. (Quote from site) Just go to Serato's website and download Itch 1.5 if your not sure on all your audio files. (The program is free, though it'll only run in a basic player mode without hardware.)

whats up man, what file type does the Itch software recognize? Ive heard midi but I am also assuming mp3, mp4, does it detect all of them?

Technology has come a long way in 20 years, I love this kind of shit, most of my mates have embraced it too, except for a few traditionalists.........you can't halt progress. I think it will be a while before the likes of this is seen in the big clubs, when I DJed at the MOS in London they were and are still using CDj 1000mk3 and Allen and Heath mixers.

A fine combo, but as I said time marches on and progress with it. If I had the room I'd think about getting one of these NS-7. Nice.

2 Questions--If you are in scratch mode can yo control the pitch (speed) of the song? For example if I am in that mode can I grab the spindle and speed up the song or put my finger on the side of the vinyl like a real turntable? Or is it only when the platter is stopped? Also someone told me this comes with a cd with scratch samples. Is that true? Thanks

@koch3256 uses 7inch vinyls for a control surface without needles. when compared to a traditional turn table this thing is very identical plus you have some of the digital advantages you do not have with traditional vinyl.

But rumor has it Serato will be releasing something soon.

Other than that Here is a major hint:

The windows OS sees the device as a audio card out put.

So in theory you can use an app to run with a GUI to select effects you want to add to the out put sound.

Yes and No.

Cues are "Markers" or assignable start points. You have 5 of them. which you can jump arround But unlike a sampler you cannot layer them on the same platter. You can however layer them using the other platter.

LOL its made by Pure Digital (Flip Ultra) I have two of these now. They are inexpensive and very good in quality when you consider the cost. In short they get the job done.

No effects are on the NS7 yet. There are claims that Serato will release the software in an upgrade for free soon.

Here is an idea:

Load the track on both Platters and play one just a few split seconds behind the other and at a lower level.
