Im pretty sure this is Sonic, not Merlina's, theme. Right from the outset it sounds like Sonics talking, not Merlina. "Every world will have its end" cant be Merlina, she's trying to protect Camelot. "I am who you don't think i am" Why would Sonic be the one singing, or at least who'd EXPECT it? "I'll be the last one standing in a flash of light" Think about Sonics finishing blow on her. "Do you dare to fight evils might?" Sonics comment from earlier on. "I dont mind being the villain"

I think it can be considered that the song is being sung from the point of view of both characters.

The verses are sung by Merlina:

Whereas the bridge is by Sonic:

The reason they usually don't use names and stuff in love songs is because then it can be a song for anyone. I think if they should've taken the word "world" everywhere it appears and replaced it with "thing". Then this could also be a song about ending a bad relationship.
