  • I enjoyed this moment of beauty and then realized it might not have been a good idea to watch this early in the morning. I now get the strange feeling that the sun went up and down in less than two hours.. my internal clock is all messed up! :P

  • @kobidreamer ha ha After editing this video, I felt like my brain was still running at 4X time and everyone around me seemed to be moving too slowly.

  • are there any markets/ special events sort of like the travelling zoo that you could film?

im interested to see what a walk to a grocery store, or what some of the habitat is like for some animals, or if there are any. or what kind of local things that your city has that you can't get anywhere else really.

  • @linoleumbreathmint Thanks for the ideas. If I get my nerve up, I'll try taking my camera to a local grocery store some time!

  • So beautiful!!! I don't think I can ever get tired of your view ever!

  • That was beautiful, but honestly I miss hearing you comment on your videos. I would love to see videos where you visit Japanese sites and comment on what you see. I always thought your videos with Nina were great not just because Nina is an interesting person, but because you and your wife were as well.

  • @enderjsvl Thanks! I'm a little too shy to be a vlogger, I think. Carrying on a dialogue with Nina felt natural, but just narrating a video feels strange. To be honest, I don't really know who I am as a videographer without Nina as my star. I feel lost!

  • ohh finally! your new video came out! You are very lucky to have that view! Cool!

  • @nisaAD2707 Yeah, I never get tired of our view!

  • Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  • @TheLoreSeeker Happy Holidays!

  • Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  • @bizelivin Thanks! Merry Christmas to you, too!

  • Que lindo anochecer!!

Feliz Navidad a ti y a tu familia

  • @Wdoubleyou18 Feliz Navidad a ti tambien!

  • I don't remember Japanese drivers driving that quickly or spasmodically, but it has been a while. :)

Thanks for sharing your sunset. メリークリスマス。

  • @languageandhumor Ah, I think I see the source of your confusion over the speed of the cars. As it turns out, the streets in my neighborhood are particularly short and most people drive very small cars, so it gives the perspective of added speed. ;)

By the way, do you think a visit to Japan is in the cards for you? I suspect some things have probably changed. (And other things are probably very much the same.)

Happy Year of the Dragon to you!

  • @geofinjapan I may visit Japan someday, but I don't have any immediate plans for that. Yoi o-dragon-toshi o!

  • I am watching this video at 1 am but I wonder if I watch it again during sunset, will it feel different? hmmm gotta try tomorrow :-) Enjoyed the video as usual :-) thanks for sharing!

  • @jodiebkk ha ha I am rarely up at 1 A.M., but when I am everything has a spooky, ominous feel to it.

  • Lovely video, Geof. Just curious, what time of night is this? It gets dark really early here and was just wondering how long it took in Nagoya.

  • @MissAyeGo This was probably from around 5:00 to 6:00 in the evening.

  • Great image. I'll trade you winters. lol. Hope you and the family have a great Xmas!

  • @MrJingjong ha ha What's your winter like? Happy holidays to you and your family as well!

  • Wonderful! Flat-out breath taking...

  • @MoeTheFro Thanks! I love winter sunsets.

  • b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l

  • @j0inolryt Thank you!

  • Nice one mate. How's life Geof?

  • @hussainhilmy Thank you! And, life is good! We are looking forward to 2012 and Nina starting elementary school. Hope you have a good 2012!

  • Wow!! That was beautiful!! :D Thanks for sharing that with us!! :D

  • @LaurenNIHON Thanks, Lauren!

  • I love the winter sky in Japan. Lots of clear and crisp sky days and nights.

  • @saiyouken I agree. The city lights at night seem particularly sharp in the winter, and you don't get that hazy layer of heavy air that is so common in the summer.

  • So pretty! At first i was like "I hope this video is sped up cause those are some fast moving clouds" XD also very good choice of music!

  • @chikenbak ha ha Yeah, the clouds weren't really moving that quickly!
