  • Pick me up song to the fullest...gotta love it

  • My original comment remains. The claim that one should "just believe" in spite of doubts is not only ridiculous, but potentially deadly, when the articles of belief are handed down from assholes like bin Laden, Bush, or that shit from the 700 Club. Faith is not only a bad justification for belief, it is definitively the antithesis of a good reason. (All I'm asking for is a good reason, and miracles like the apostles were supposed to have seen would be sufficient, so long as they are authentic.)

  • I cannot identify or sympathize with this song. It suggests that you should "just believe," that skepticism is bad, and that requiring evidence to justify a belief is unreasonable. It fixates on "truth," as though such is directly experienced, and ignores that evidence is the only way one could approach truth (apart from mathematical proof). You can't teleport directly to truth, you have to get there with evidence.

But ilyandgabby101 is right; Jesus is absolutely amazing in bed.

  • @quaternio There actually is a lot of evidence for the Bible. Here's just a few examples: The prophecies, the Bible contains hundreds of prophecies of individual nations, including Israel, certain cities, and mankind. Unlike other prophecies by other religous books and people like Nostradamus, biblical prophecies are extremely detailed. There's over 300 prophecies about Jesus, all came true. There's even external evidence, archaeological evidences, that continue to prove the Bible true repeteadly

  • @gametime6o4 Prophecies that are either vague or self-fulfilled don't count. And prophecies that are unverifiable, like those concerning Jesus, those especially don't count since all the author has to do is merely claim that these things happened (lie). And there absolutely is no archeological proof of any miraculous Biblical story; I'm not debating whether a man, Jesus, existed, but such is a completely unimportant fact. Things like the resurrection are important, but none of those are proven.

  • @gametime6o4 --And I don't know if you've read any other religious books, but they too verify themselves with plenty of "fulfilled prophecies," in fact some are the same exact miracles, such as a "virgin birth" of a god's child to a human woman (Buddhism, Hinduism, Greek/Roman myth, Egyptian myth). Such doesn't make any story of virgin-birth more credible, it just proves how little imagination and originality religious claims have.

Read: "Old Testament Parallels" for evidence of borrowed myths.

  • I haven't believed in any religion since the age of 14, but I am still a man of belief, and this song still resonates within me. Just because I don't have common beliefs with the artists, doesn't mean I can't still find solace in this song. I still hold a place for this song in my heart.

  • i live with the guy that produced this song.

  • Congratulation Zolimoli! Great song!!! I love it!!!

  • @barnapet00 thank you so much!

  • who cares if there is a god or not. enjoy the music

  • im a christian, but u dont need to start a bloody forum on here ranting on about the bible, and 'jesus is our saviour'... jus listen to the music n be quiet

  • Jesus is Absolutely amazing <3

  • I gave this lady friend so much time and even considered her a candidate to be my life long partner. I ask the question today what she felt about homosexuality and when it came time for me to give my side she said I was judging people. I have a deep background in scripture and she doesn't. My eyes were open to the fact we saw differently on a whole page full of simple truth. There is a truth even if people don't believe like you said (LightofChrist09). I will bow out this relationship quietly.

  • @fg1325 its harder 2 speak the bible. They get the idea of Judgin wrong. We must kno & tell them the BIBLE DON'T JUDGE. I have the same problem wit my friend on strippers & homosexually. Most people dn't believe Christians shouldn't speak the gospel & 2 keep it n church cuz they feel like we judgin them but they choose 2 not listen & get the whole idea of judgin wrong. Wen we put our faith n men bad things may happen but wen we choose 2 put our faith n God the His Spirit will b our rescue.

  • Oh wow, this song gave me the chills..The lyrics are PERFECT!..Grits is amazing.

  • Whenever I hear the line "their is a way that seems right in the heart of a man" I cry and thank god for all the times that he has forgiven me and stuck with me. He IS out there, and he loves each and every one of us so much more than we can ever understand...God Bless us all...

  • love this song .

saw this not too long ago in concert.

  • (: this song makes my heart smile. haha. it rocks.

  • I believe God is there and no matter how much someone trys to disprove it ill know he is there. I love Him so much and you should to. If you ever think about giving up, DONT Jesus will be there with you and no love is GREATER then His.

  • @LightOfChrist09

    yes i Agree with you <3 (:

  • @LightOfChrist09 Saw this old comment. You are basically saying that no amount of evidence can ever persuade you. It would be tautology to say that's unreasonable, so I'll just ask that you please inform me before you do anything that might effect my life; if you're going to perform surgery on my heart, I don't want you doing so whilst ignoring evidence such as that pouring Elmer's glue on my arteries will not fix my heart.

"I am patient with stupidity, but not with those who are proud of it."

  • @quaternio Here is the point, God has changed our lives and He has given miracles that we don't talk about because people wouldn't believe us if we told them. Thats what we believe and you can't prove that stuff, you just gotta believe it.

  • @ConcreteBroli Anyone could say "you just gotta believe" in Shiva just as easily as you say of your god. One could even say the same of fairies and minotaurs, but you agree that's ridiculous, right? Private emotion is not a good reason to believe.

If you could provide evidence for a miracle (a miracle is something that couldn't happen otherwise, like a regrown limb) 95% of atheists would convert on the spot. Further, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to talk about those miracles; "evangelism" remember?

  • Comment removed

  • @ConcreteBroli So what you are saying is that most people do not believe that you have experienced a miracle? Well tell me, why don't you have "faith" in those people that reject your claim? Why is it that we are wrong, and you are right?

What profound arrogance to decide that God speaks only to you! What arrogance that you should conclude if we only "listened harder" we would hear too! I'm listening right now, and I hear nothing! Don't demonize me for the offense of refusing to delude myself.

  • @quaternio @quaternio To believe in God is not to delude oneself, belief in anything else however would be as there is one God and Father of all, and they can only come to Him by Christ. One Way, One Truth, One Life: Anybody that comes from any other way is a thief and comes in by the window, but Christ is the Door, He is the gate to the sheepfold and the shepherd among hirelings. How did I become profoundly arrogant and you become demonized. God may not only speak to me, but only to Christians

  • @ConcreteBroli Well it is clear to me that the reason "anything else" is so ridiculous to you is a mere accident, of where you happened to have been born. That is not a good reason to believe, nor is the authority of a book that advocates slavery, nor a preacher who has no good reason other than the former two.

Again, I am listening, but all hear is a whimper of those suffering in universe that is truly indifferent. If such is to illicit any emotion toward a creator, it must surely be loathing.

  • @quaternio You know what, here is the only reason to believe, I regret saying anything more than this, as it is vain preaching of words, God is a God of power not words. But anyways the reason is simple, Jesus came down to bleed for you and me because the wages of sin is death, even the judicial system acknowledges this with certain crimes being punishable to death, the end of the road thus... is death. And Christ paid that cost so that we can live. I will not question God nor participate in it!

  • @ConcreteBroli I've done nothing to deserve any amount of punishment, and I definitely haven't done anything to deserve INFINITE torment! The judicial system doesn't acknowledge anything like the torment of hell. At least Judaism conceded your punishment would only effect this life, it took the Nazarene to imagine that people deserved infinite punishment in hell. Meek and mild?!

If you think I've committed a crime, call the cops! Otherwise, stop pretending anyone deserves hell.

  • @ConcreteBroli God of power? What power?! All I hear are a bunch of words from you. Well, that and tsunamis.... thanks God.

  • @ConcreteBroli BTW, shouldn't you DEFEND your God? Isn't that your duty, if I am speaking against him? I mean, you should at least defend him with words, since the Bible commands you to kill me (Deut. 17, etc.).

  • Comment removed

  • @ConcreteBroli The "old law" was just to enable the birth of Christ? So it was okay to kill non-believers, and disobedient children, and people who ate shellfish, so long as it was before Christ? It was really necessary before Christ that people never eat shellfish, but now that he has come, shrimp are okay? REALLY?!

In that case, perhaps I'm justified in fearing Christians as much as Muslims, because for all I know, Jesus may ask you to kill me tomorrow, and apparently you would do it.

  • Comment removed

  • @ConcreteBroli Was slavery funny too? No Christians did that either, right? I often laugh about that, too. /sarcasm

You know Shia Islam was moderate for huge amounts too; they were completely peaceable and indeed quite progressive at times. But the point is, when you are driven by unreason (faith), you can't predict when it will all go to shit. For instance, a president might claim God told him to go to war, and then all the evangelicals might believe him.

  • Comment removed

  • @ConcreteBroli They aren't random. If I supported a political leader who said women didn't deserve to vote, you would be well justified to call me a chauvinist.

And I AM NOT unwilling to listen, I'm just not going to treat your "evidence" with any less scrutiny than I would Islam. All I'm asking is for some evidence that Islam or Hinduism doesn't have. So yes your evangelism is selective, because you are being disingenuous to suggest that is my fault for not listening, when I am listening.

  • @ConcreteBroli And I'm not picking random battles. You said "I regret" talking about the justifiability of belief, and then hid behind the meaningless "God is of power, not words." So pointed to the ways in which that is wrong, namely that there are NEVER any demonstrations of the power of a good God, and that events of "power" that ever happen are those that cause immense human suffering.

  • @ConcreteBroli Additionally, to your seeming willingness to evade an argument that is problematic for you, I pointed to the hypocrisy of your selective "evangelism." Though I'm glad you at least admitted that you don't really want to convince me, or to help me, you just want to profess the "word," and then quickly exit, just so you can be confident "the blood is not on your hands," and you won't be held accountable for my time in hell. Thanks, bro!

  • @quaternio selective evangelism? Really, you are not willing to listen. God comes for the humble, the broken and the down and out, not the rich and the proud. It says of the proud that they will fall, and that of the rich that their riches will devour their flesh. Richness scripturally speaks of both physical richness and the lack of need for anything that God can offer, you are not going to receive me but you are going to pick this fight to the bone in hope that fight like ev'ry other Christian

  • @ConcreteBroli Okay so if you are listening than I will talk to you in person, where your pedestal of ppl to cheer you on is lacking.

  • @ConcreteBroli I am not fighting; I'm arguing against your points. I follow every claim you make because I am convinced your claims are in error. I honestly don't know what you mean by "repenting first," as I have done nothing wrong (I eat shellfish, but you've conceded that is irrelevant). I am glad you are better, but I have a similar story; I ceased to be depressed when I stopped believing I was a sinner. I am a better and happier person for the loss of the self-loathing that is X'ianity. Bye

  • @quaternio Umm, hold up hold up! Look man, Christianity is a terrible faith lately, its done alot of bad, and I just want to repair the breech. I have been very hurt by my Christian peers, and as result I don't trust many of them. But just so you know, it is not theologically correct for a believer to still think they are a sinner. Justification says that you are blameless in Christ. Repentance is not about being evil, its about admitting weakness. Don't let condemnation keep you, he died for all

  • @ConcreteBroli I believe my response to the PM answers this as best as I can.

  • @ConcreteBroli Christians still sin sometimes, and need help from other Christians with it sometimes. That's why Jesus said someone who is clean all over only needs to have his feet washed, because sometimes we step into some.. stuff. Proverbs says it is a badge of honor to accept valid criticism. It also says if you rebuke a fool he will hate you for it, but if you rebuke a wise man he will love you all the more for it. Beatings from a friend are better than kisses from an enemy.

  • @LightOfChrist09 Agreed...no matter how much the world tries to disprove that God exists, He'll be there regardless ♥♥

  • AWESOME!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhh very nice coolness =)

  • This is such a great song.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!
