  • @k3nji019 of course. because, actually, my history lesson teacher said that indonesian is a language that was formed by all traders in the world who lived in indonesia. 70% from arabic and 30% others. :)

  • @hanifiscrazy 70 % arabic ? not really..most of came from malay language about 70 %, others come from arabic,portuguese,dutch,english,sanskrit,etc..

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • 16 sounds a bit like "numberless" ^^

  • very similar with Filipino!!!! 5 is also "lima" in Filipino!

  • @jmdarcega yes. dahil kng ttgnan ntn sa mapa, ang lapit lang ng Pilipinas sa Indonesia. At dhil dun, mrming similarities sa culture pti na rin sa langauge.

  • @sannetussch22

... in what way does it sound nice?

  • Honestly Learning Bahasa and Spanish would help you to learn Filipino easily hehe.

  • very nice.....Kourin

For my dissertation, I need to look into more lists of phonetically transcribed indonesian words (that is, written in IPA symbols). Do you know the source from which you extracted the Indonesian numbers? THANKS

  • @Sbatais

it will be very easy to transcribe indonesian to IPA because indonesian spelling is very consistent and very close to IPA. the only trouble is the pronunciation of the letter 'e'.

you can browse on wikipedia to obtain the IPA of indonesian.

  • @EvanC0912

My study is a phonological analysis of the foreign loanwords in Indonesian ( most particularly the ones from Arabic and Dutch). If you know someone who has some training in phonetic transcription and has linguistic knowledge about Indonesian, please let me know. Thanks for your reply to my message, and I wish you all the best with learning Indonesian

  • @Sbatais

you're actually dealing with the native here.. haha..

i can lend you a hand if you want.

about the IPA, i think i can do a favor.

btw. do you speak indonesian? i assume you have a good conduct of bahasa indonesia as you're writing a dissertation on this subject.

  • @EvanC0912

Hi again and sorry about the delay in getting back to you! I was out of town for 2 weeks. Would you please send me your email address so that I can further discuss and explain to you some of the things I'm planning to do. By the way, I should've known better: I confused you with someone who replied to your video saying that he was trying to learn Indonesian. Sorry about that! Looking forward to your reply!

  • @Sbatais

okay, i'll send you a message.

  • this vid is GREAT

    I'll learn indonesian soon

  • Thanks ! (:
